Doug came out on a Sunday, very quickly, because I had broken a valve off under my bathroom sink. Although water wasn’t gushing everywhere, it was enough that I had to put a big bowl under the sink and empty it a couple of times. He was professional, completely capable, and was in and out under an hour. Will definitely use his services again.

I’ve had Doug come out to the house a number of times. He’s a quiet guy. Get’s the job done quickly and does great work. He doesn’t do big jobs such as rough plumbing – getting under houses, etc. But if you need fixtures replaced or quick drain fixes, call him. Awesome guy!

My regular plumber was not available, so I called these folks. so glad I did! He was able to come by in a couple of hours, and quickly fixed the waste/​overflow in my bathtub. He also replaced a faucet handle in my other bathroom. I don’t know whether or not the cost was within the norm, $ 108 for under 20 minutes work, but I considered it worth it for the quick response and professional service. I would not hesitate to call them again!

Doug came by within an hour of calling him and was very professional. He pointed out what could be wrong and even suggested another service provider that could be better for the type of issue we were facing. Even though he wasn’t able to fix the issue, he told me what to do and was very honest and respectful.

I asked a friend for recommendations for plumbers and she recommended Mr. Kuttruff. So I called Mr. Kuttruff about a leaky faucet. He arrived in about 20 minutes!!! and fixed it in literally 30 seconds. It’s a tricky one too because we use Dishmaster and most plumbers never know what to do with it. We’ve had another problem that other plumbers couldn’t fix and it’s been driving my husband and I nuts for months. It’s a weird, loud, piercing screech that happens when I do the laundry outside but can only be heard in one bathroom. It also sometimes comes on when you run other sinks. After about 30 seconds he figured out that not only was our toilet installed improperly (something called a ball and cock) but that also it was installed in such a way as to waste a lot of water. In a drought. I had no idea. He happened to have this part as well in his truck. Then he only charged $ 120 for both. I am so grateful and I will use him from now on.

Thanksgiving Day is right around the corner. Doug took care of my bathroom sink without a problem.

I made an appointment for Doug to come yesterday. I have an 1890 old house and hadn’t been able to use the hot water in my bathroom sink for over a year. Doug installed new faucets and valves along with related lines in about a half hour and at a very reasonable price. I am glad I read the other reviews so knew he was a little gruff over the phone. Don’t let that put you off. In person, he is nice and friendly and very professional. I am going to be ordering a new part for my shower and will get him back for that as well as the faucets in my second bath.
I highly recommend.

We had several plumbing issues, from leaky faucets to poor water flow. We have a VERY old house so it’s difficult to repair most of the plumbing. Previous plumbers had quoted us thousands of dollars to fix these problems. After stalling for a year, we were referred to Doug Kuttruff from a reputable local plumbing supply store.
Doug called back within 10 minutes of leaving a message. Offered a free consult. He showed up 40 minutes later, and this was a Saturday.
Doug got to work right away. He not only fixed the 2 issues we had, but he took care of a few other items. Very easy to work with and very affordable. Highly, highly recommend him for anyone with plumbing needs. Can’t say enough.

Excellent service. Called Doug and left voicemail. Less than 5 minutes later he called back. Minor plumbing issue — wife dropped perfume bottle and we could hear it in toilet but couldn’t get it out.
I work from home but would not be available until a certain time (2 pm). Doug came on time, did what he had to do, charged me a fair price and I am very happy with his service. Would recommend strongly! Thanks, Doug!

I have positive things to say all around about Doug: he was easy to reach; he was available on a Saturday; he arrived when he promised and after he called to confirm; he had the tools, parts and expertise to quickly repair my 70 year old leaking shower faucer; and he was pleasant and personal throughout. I’ll be calling him again.

Once again Doug came to the rescue. Our kitchen sink was not draining and rather than call a plumber I decided to fix it myself, big mistake. Not only could I not clear the clog, but I proceeded to monkey with the pipes and started a leak. I called Doug and he was at my house in 15 minutes. He went right to work and cleared the clog and fixed the leak. He charged a reasonable price and performed excellent work. This is the second time I have used him and he is the best. Great work at a fair price.

A while back ago, I phone Doug for replacement of my old kitchen faucet to a new Grohe faucet. He quote me somewhere around $ 100. It took him under an hour to replaced. He made it look easy to assembled but indeed it looks way more complicated to a lot of other contractors. Grohe faucet have many parts and he made it look like he was building Lego. Doug really knows his plumbing. He came on time. No hassle. Got the job done and I can’t be anymore pleased with the quality of his work.

Doug Kuttruff is outstanding. Kitchen sink drainage became slower and slower until no flow so time to call the plumber.
I called Kuttruff plumbing and I was able to schedule after hours service. He arrived promptly and snaked my kitchen sink and my upstairs tub and cleaned both sink drains. I also also remembered the shower head in the second bathroom was slow, and he was so kind to fix that as well! Super nice guy who grew up locally and whose grandfather was a plumber. Reasonable prices, professional service and all my pipes are running smoothly!

I rarely give Unilocal reviews anymore, and it’s not really like Doug needs yet another glowing review, but I just want to say that he did a terrific job for me with my kitchen plumbing problem and charged me a very reasonable price. This was a stressful situation for me and Doug handled it incredibly well. I can’t imagine that anyone would regret hiring him.

Fast, efficient and honest… that’s says it all!
Doug’s the guy! Had a late night main that busted and he came over in less than 15mins and fixed it fast and I was thinking it would’ve cost me an arm and a leg to fix it since it was very late at night… but Doug hooked it up with a very reasonable price.

Went to George’s Plumbing this morning in my alpha male role to fix two valve stems for a bathtub that is older than John Kerry’s hair. The nice guy at the counter explained that «it’s pretty straight forward but these stems are «old as John Kerry’s hair» which I thought was odd since that is my line. Anyway, he told me that with some spacers you «should» be able to get it done.
My alpha male role immediately went to alpha beta role and I went shopping. How many of you remember Alpha Beta? Anyway, the guy at the counter gave me Doug Kuttruff’s number. Knowing this was a scam I immediately called Doug. Now, Doug is not exactly a ball of fire on the phone. To say he is laid back is to call Steven Wright a ball of fire. Anyway, I explained my wussy situation and like a fireman saying «yea, I’ll get the cat out of the tree» he said he’d be there about noon.
Noon 0 1 comes and he arrives. What a great guy! «Got everything on the truck (does that include my dignity) and he gets to work. About 5 minutes later (I think he worked about 2 minutes longer than he need to just to save some shred of pride. A little «boy this is tricky» wouldn’t have hurt, Doug).
All done, clean, perfect, spent less than what I thought I was going to. And we learn our boys are the same grade at the same high school. With that handy piece of info, we’ll be making friends.

Doug is awesome! He is fair, quick and responsible. He saved my home and he is reasonable with his prices. What more can you ask?
My sink was stopped up, my faucets were not working and my shower barely had water dripping out of it. He fixed it all in one day, then he ordered parts for my shower and was back within 24 hours to fix it. I was worried because I have a high end German brand shower system, but he was familiar with it and knew exactly how to fix it! And it is working great.
Oh and last month he installed my new water heater I ordered online after my old one blew up. I had three plumbers turn down installing a water heater that they did not sell me, and Doug came over and had it in the wall and working within an hour. Sears tried to rip me off and charge me over $ 700.00 in labor and parts (NEVER order installation from SEARS if you live in Pasadena) and Doug fixed it.
