I am a portrait and lifestyle photographer based in Pasadena although I will happily travel anywhere. My approach to photography is simple: you and yours + beautiful light = a moment worth keeping in a frame, on the fridge or yes, blasted all over social media. I became a photographer because I love people and my dog and fortunately both will let me photograph them pretty regularly. I soon found out, hey, I can make people happy by giving them these beautiful pictures of themselves. Being able to share my work and give people tangible memories makes my job pretty fulfilling — so, let me take this moment to say thank you, potential client, we may be able to create something great together!

A little bit about me, in case you were wondering, I grew up in Orange County and got my Fine Art degree at Humboldt State. I currently live in Pasadena with my dog, husband and daughter (in no particular order).

We had Leah take portraits of me and my husband. She was amazing: very professional, personable, and immediately made us feel at ease. She was very knowledgeable about potential locations in the Pasadena area and recommended a place that really took advantage of the beautiful afternoon lighting. As someone who dabbles in photography, I can recognize her artistic talent and her impeccable eye for composition. We are absolutely thrilled by how the photos turned out and would not hesitate to have her take more photos in the future. We can’t recommend her enough!

Leah is a miracle worker — She managed to capture our sometimes fussy 2-​year-​old in the most beautiful light, both literally and figuratively! When hiring any professional, you look for strong skill set, courtesy, punctuality, and overall pleasant personality. Leah is all of these things, plus she’s a fellow mom who understands the challenges of working with young children. We would recommend her with the utmost confidence. And we’ll certainly be turning to her again for any of our family’s photography needs!

We hired Leah for both our engagement and wedding photos. We liked her as soon as we met her, but it wasn’t until we sat down and looked at her work that we really recognized how great she was. She made us feel completely comfortable throughout the entire process, which was a big deal for me because I’m not a huge fan of being photographed. Our photos turned out beautiful, with a great mix of traditional and more «artistic» photos. I can’t recommend highly enough.

Our experiences with Leah has alway been fantastic. She has an amazing animation for lil kids an keeps them interested in the photo session. I’m always satisfied with our pictures. I just can’t seem to get enough of Leah’s pictures! They pop up on my newsfeed everyday and seem to just keep getting better. I love her location choices and how she ties in nature with different themes. Her style is unique and artistic. You can really tell she loves what she does and is incredibly gifted. Anyone would be lucky to have her capturing their memories. I hope one day she will take my engagement pictures!

When you look at images taken by Leah Lee Photography, you see that this is a person who lives out her dream by doing what she loves and sharing her vision through the art of photography! I have been admiring Leah’s work for many years and am thrilled to have her talent line the hallways of my home and track the memories of my life! One of the things I love most about Leah’s photos, is her ability to take the setting of an everyday environment and make it stand out with artistic intention. While posing for pictures comes naturally to only a select few people, Leah is able to make you look beautiful, natural, confident and comfortable. She is reliable, enthusiastic, funny and truly makes the BEST out of any situation!
Commenting on the 1 star review below, I would like to say that in today’s world, I appreciate a no BS approach to selling services! I’m happy I don’t know the feeling of disappointment in selecting a cheap photographer to capture important moments in life! Fortunately, I’ve always made the right decision in hiring Leah (and in avoiding PBR — at least since the college years).

I don’t know how she does it, but Leah always captures the most beautiful and creative pictures of my family despite my two small children that do not enjoy smiling for a camera. She has been our family photographer for 5 years and always delivers. We get SO many compliments on our annual holiday cards because she takes such natural, fun and artistic shots. And that’s exactly what you get with Leah-​a natural, fun, artistic, professional and extremely talented photographer.
(As for the 1 star review written by Erica S., Leah does have a sense of humor, and she takes her work [and pricing] seriously. Those two qualities need not be mutually exclusive.)

Leah is the best, Not only did she do they best photography and editing for our wedding, she was professional, but fun and she captured our special day perfectly.
(BTW, my friends would torment me saying «special day» but that should not affect my review of Leah’s work.) She has since become our family photographer and does all our x-​mas cards every year. I even use her to photograph the high-​end listings for my Real Estate Brokerage, Metro Estates and she also is hired to capture all our charity and company events we hold! She can always capture that perfect shot that truly captures the perfect moment! Leah comes with my highest recommendation and I feel real bad I have not written this review for her sooner. Leah Lee in a word, awesome. Her pictures are creative, unique, and memorable. My wife and I first used her for engagement pictures and have since used her for our wedding, business (twice), maternity, and now infant photos. I was surprised to see someone gave her a 1 star review… someone who never even used her services — what a joke. Leah has always been friendly and professional but most importantly, her pictures never disappoint. We plan on using her for all of our special occasions.

So happy with Leah! This is our second year using Leah for our family photos. We have 4 young children and I’m amazed at her patience and, thankfully, her ability to capture fantastic moments of us with our kids. We get a great mix of candid and posed photos. She is focused and aware of the best setting and lighting for her pictures. She also is very considerate of the kids and can adjust quickly to their cooperation or lack there-​of :) Based on her reliability, professionalism, competitive pricing, and of course outstanding quality pictures, I’d recommend Leah hands down.

We were looking for a photographer for our wedding that does photography, not just the standard wedding photos that you always see with no personality. Leah takes personality VERY seriously and is an absolutely incredible photographer. We did engagement shots with her as well which was a great way to get us used to getting our picture taken. She is so much fun and down to earth. And at the wedding she got all the shots we wanted and they all came out beautiful and artistic, but her and her assistant managed to get them without us even noticing that they were there! This is stuff you frame and hang on the wall not just because its a picture taken at your wedding. Highly Highly recommend her for anything, ANTHING. I know we will be calling her again for any of our photography needs!
