Always have had a great experience at this store. Some items are sold out but they offered to order for me, or call me when it’s back in stock. I opted for the second option & about a week later I got a call that my liner came in! Great follow up & customer service

I don’t know what all these other people are talking about but I always have the best experience going to Mac Pasadena. The guy there always sits me down and helps me pick out a fresh new look. I can’t wait to attend the eyeshadow class coming up with Brittney teaching it! The girl with beautiful long red hair has helped me pick out several awesome lip colors that I can’t wait to rock on my nights out! I’m a lifetime Mac Pasadena shopper!

I am an avid user of Mac cosmetics and frequent Mac stores often. The service at the Pasadena location is beyond horrible. I’ve been sent you home with incorrect items/​charges on my card and then when I’ve gone back to make an exchange or return the staff has given me a hard time because they screwed up. Sadly this has happened on more than one occasion, which is why I am writing this review. The concept of customer service is totally lost on the staff at this location. They are rude, obnoxious and not helpful. Save your time and grief — you are better off going to another MAC store location.

With this heat in LA, I was dying to find a foundation that would cover up my freckles and stay on! Who knew Mac makes a waterproof foundation!!! Genius! Vanessa was our makeup artist and was fantastic! She was so informative and made sure to take the time to help me find the right shade!!! Thanks Mac for solving my summer issue!!!

I came to this MAC last Sunday and was expecting just a normal visit to grab some necessities. All the girls were incredibly rude when i asked for help, they merely just rolled their eyes and said yes. I mean this is your job, can you at least pretend to try and help me with a smile on your face? Once I got to checkout they didn’t even ask about my MAC SELECT membership… Never coming here again.

I came into this store to make a purchase last week for an eyebrow pencil the total for my purchase was about 18 $. I just checked my card statement and see I was charged again from this location, a transaction of 253 $ !!!
I will never shop here again.

This review is about the make up application, which comes out to 78 $ so almost 80 dollars. Well IT IS NOT WORTH IT! I wish I knew the name of the lady who did my application but she is a Middle Aged Hispanic lady with black hair. The make up application was basically something I could have don’t be myself so I was very disappointed. There was nothing special about the eyeshadow. One shimmer color on the lid & black on the outer corner that was not blended out very good, (I went home & blended it out myself). She didn’t highlight the brow bone. (I did it myself), no white in the inner corner, (I did it myself). When she applied the foundation she did not blend it down to my neck so after you can see the color contrast from face to neck, (face is a couple shades darker then neck). I had a few blemishes on my face that she didn’t pay any extra attention too (So when I went home I had to blend my face/​neck & cover up those blemishes). I was not impressed with my brows what so ever. (She didn’t clean the edges so I had to do that myself, plus there is a top spot on my arch that she didn’t fill in, another thing I did myself). I informed her I had combo skin, she still didn’t set the foundation so basically an hour later I was already seeing how heavy the foundation looked & oil was peaking through. (UGHHH ANOTHER thing I did myself!, she sprayed a couple sprays of fix +, don’t be stingy with it! I make it rain with fix + at home so all the make up fuses together!) she didn’t highlight or contour! Yes she bronzed my cheeks but that’s as far as it went, overall I’m greatly disappointed with their service!!! For being a «professional make up artist» I did not see anything professional about it at all, no skills shined through. & for the price that they charge it’s pretty ridiculous! Bottom line beware of booking an make up application here, it’s truly taking a gamble with who you get & how good they are, & unfortunately you do not know that before you book. I assumed they are all professional MUA who are very skilled. I was wrong!

Such horrible customer service it’s pathetic. Girls are rude, eye rolling. Hello I’m shopping here because I obviously have money to spend/​not working here bc I have to. Tall Caucasian girl short bleach blond hair, why you even come to work? BTW, I love how when you finally get someone’s attention bc your not going away, they say «oh the girl in the back will help you when she comes back out» WTF, and sure enough there’s always someone in the back coming out oblivious the other one is throwing them under the bus… I’m pretty dayum familiar with broads throwing each other under the bus and hate that childish shit.
I can point out a couple more of you gals but not worth my typing skills or aggravation. I always liked Marc Jacobs products anyhow– so I’ll be heading to Sephora and Bloomingdales for all my cosmetic needs. Btw, it’s just this branch that’s seems dirty, understocked and wanna be snooty. It was 8 pm when I ran in, I guess I wasn’t dolled up enough and didn’t look like I was dropping serious dime. Apparently this is common according to other Unilocalers who visited this branch. I was here bc I needed to refill 9
Different products for my baby shower not to mention my little one loves Ariana Grande so I picked her up the small collection — my total was under just shy of $ 300.
Last purchase I will ever give MAC just bc this experience.

Horrible customer service. I walked in yesterday and was looking at lipstick there were two employees working not one said hello or offered assistance. Another woman came in and asked for a lipstick so one employee comes and says «let me get in here» no hi or maybe I help you. I waited a few more minutes and no help! Horrible service went to Sephora where I spend over $ 200 and had great customer service. Little advice if you don’t want to service customers don’t work in customer service

I went to Mac in Old town Pasadena to exchange a lip pencil that was expensive. The whole inside of the pencil kept coming out of the tube! Clearly it was a manufacturer defect, but the young lady that helped me would not exchange it. So I tried to find a different one that would not change the color of the lipstick I had. The lady said that was an old lip liner design and it would probably do it again if I bought another one. So I tried to find one that would match with my lipstick and nothing worked! So frustrating! The gentleman that worked there tried to figure out the problem with the liner that was defective and got frustrated himself and exchanged it out for another one! That’s customer service!!! That’s what should have been done from the beginning! Thanks again!

Oh wow, what a bad visit…
The make-​up chicks were nice enough, but they insisted on doing inventory (or something, who knows?) on all of the lipstick testers on a busy Saturday morning. Really? And there aren’t 2 sets of testers, just the one that they were camped out in front of. So… to look at lipsticks, customers had to work around these girls; they sure weren’t moving for the customers. Great — I love to feel like I’m interrupting *you* as I shop for your product.
I gave up and bailed, reminded of why I never visit this outpost. The «helpers» are consistently one of the following: standoffish (and nowhere to be found) or nice, but clueless. But there’s a fix for that: Nordstrom.

so annoyed from my experience at this location. It took 20 mins for someone to help me, they acknowledged someone else that walked in after me:-(Associate walked over to help. She seemed like she did not want to answer questions, i got frustrated and walked out. Will not return!

Not the best customer service. Honestly didn’t really feel comfortable. And did not get greeted/​offered help until being in the store for about 25 minutes.

I have been using MAC products for years now and have gone to MAC stores in 3 separate states, and I have to say: this is literally the WORST I have ever been too! Everything every review says below is true!
Their customer service is awful. I have walked in here MULTIPLE times and have not had anyone greet me or offer to help me, even when the store was empty besides me. Last time I went, the store was packed, and I simply had a list of things I wanted to buy. I waited by the counter for a good 15 – 20 minutes with employees running by me and never saying anything to me until another customer, who they offered to help, pointed to me and told them I had been standing there waiting for 15 minutes. Olivia (I happened to catch the employee’s name) proceeded to help someone else and told me she would be with me shortly. I told her that I just had a list of products I wanted to buy, and she almost snarled back that the girl in front of her had also been waiting. I understand it was a busy day but… part of her job is customer service.
I will NEVER be going back to this location. I’ve gotten way better service at the Grove location and will keep going there.

So when my dear friend asked me to serve as her bridesmaid, it was an honor I will never forget. But to be honest, panic ensued, primarily in the make-​up department. I am not a make-​up person but made a valiant effort to do my own with video tutorials. The result? I looked like a character on American Horror Story or maybe the Bride of Frankenstein.
Brittney of MAC Pasadena to the rescue. After freaking out, I called the day before the wedding and they squeezed me in the next day. I showed Brittney a picture of my bridesmaid dress, told her it would be an outdoor ceremony and gave her free reign. I could not be happier with the results. Plus she is super friendly and truly makes you look your best.

I had pleasant experience here, I walked and after a few minutes was I greeted by one of the make up artist. She was friendly, she helped match me to the proper color of foundation, concealer and toner. I usually experience bad services at MAC, but this day I was in and out. I didn’t catch her name, I appreciate that she helped me so quickly.

I walked into this location a few days ago (⁶⁄₄) around 6 or 7 because I was interested in purchasing some of the new matte lipsticks.
When I walked in the door with my friend, no one greeted us in any way. I didn’t think anything of it at first, but when two other girls walked in maybe a minute later, they were greeted immediately. One of the Mac artists asked the other two girls right away if they needed help finding anything. Meanwhile, I’m standing swatching lipsticks on my hand still unacknowledged. Another Mac artist even walked by right behind me and walked away without saying anything to me. I’m a very understanding person coming from working in the service industry myself, but this was unacceptable. I would have understood it it was busy, but the store was empty save for one other person until we walked in.
I love Mac products especially Mac lipsticks and had every intention of purchasing a couple along with lip liners to go with them. But because of the lack of attention, I walked out offended and empty-​handed instead of happy with new lipsticks.
At other Mac locations, I’ve been greeted right away and have received amazing service. I don’t know why this location was any different, but it truly upset me and I’ve advised everyone I know to visit many of the other Mac locations instead of this one.

I’ve never really shopped at MAC before. I really like the quality of makeup here! The girls who work here are really helpful! I was looking for a nude/​pinkish lip color, and they chose several colors for me. My favorite was Crème De La Femme!
My friend came through and informed me about bringing in 6 empty Mac cases and get a free cosmetic item. She’s a loyal customer so she had a ton of empty cases to give me. I got the lipstick for free! If only the workers told me about that. they’d get 5 stars. but I know they work for commission and need to make sales so I won’t really blame them. I’d probably do the same. lol

I came here with my cousin on the weekend. We walked in and I looked for someone to assist us. As I approached the register area, Lynette greeted us and asked if we needed help. My goal today was to purchase a bronzer and get a refill of my eye shadow. Lynette helped me choose the perfect bronzer color for my skin. I asked her to suggest what other colors would go well with my eye shadow. Lynette showed me several colors, then applied it on me so I can see how it looks. She also gave me a make up guide that indicates how to apply the make up.
Lynette assisted my cousin as well, she wanted a brush for her gel eye liner. I encouraged my cousin to also get the purple and brown gel eye liner. Since my cousin was unsure of the colors, I asked Lynette if she could put it on my cousin. Lynette had no hesitation, she immediately said yes. Not only did she apply the gel eye liner but Lynette taught my cousin how to do the Cat Eye. Lynette recommended what brush would go well for the gel eye liner. My cousin ended up buying the brush and the two gel eye liners.

Lynette provided us exceptional customer service. She is very knowledgeable about make up, techniques, colors, style, and brushes, etc. Lynette is very friendly, kind, communicates well and caring! My review is for Lynette and because of her, I will shop here again.
