Madewell

Love madewell. However, the costumer service is not great. I walk in and no «hello how are you». What a stink!

Service with a smile not at this location. All under the nose of Jane the store manager-​no greeting, no help with sizing in the dressing room, in fact it was like I wasn’t even in the store. Guess that’s why I shop online.

This is my all time favorite store. Hands down!

I’ve heard great things about this company in general so I thought I would give their jeans a try! At my age, I’m realizing that forever 21 jeans won’t cut it for forever.
I was walking down Colorado blvd with my BF when I realized there was a Madewell right in front of me! So I stopped, shopped and grabbed a couple pairs of jeans to try. One on their employees, Emma, was so kind and gave me other pairs to try etc. She was so nice and so helpful and made my stressful jean shopping situation so much easier!
Thanks Emma and Madewell! Can’t wait for my new Jean wearing experience.

Sometimes I don’t understand why I should pay $ 70 for a top. But, Madewell proved their clothing to be worthy of the money. I tried on a shirt dress and was immediate impressed by it. The material was amazing and although it was a flowy top, it fitted me like a glove because it had structure. This is exactly the kind of clothing I am looking for. I like to feel comfortable, look stylish and most of all, look clean and well put together. Madewell has gained itself a new customer!
The store employees were very nice. Also, what I liked most about the store was that they were too strict about the changing rooms. I hate to get those number cards and wait for employees to unlock the doors.

Such a delightful store with great quality products. I always stop in along our walks on Colorado Blvd.
I often want multiple things but have yet to actually try some things on to check their fit. Their denim bar is really cute and has tons of options.
Great looking tops, jackets, shoes and bags.
This is a great store for a casual relaxed yet very well put together look.

Service is «okay» but it’s located in a very convenient location. The ladies who assist you by the dressing room is more enthusiastic then the ones by the cashier for some reason. I recommend calling ahead so they may hold a item for you.
Also they offer student/​teacher discounts so bring your ID!

Such cute things but the service was horrible. The store is small so it’s not like they didn’t see me. So I decided to skip my in store purchase and buy online.

Have shopped here two years in a row for Christmas gifts and each time has been great quick staff is super helpful and more than willing to walk around the store with you to find the right items and make gift suggestions.

I’m typically not a big shopper, a few trips to Shop Ashiya during the year supplemented by Ross, Target, and Goodwill does it for me. But the other day on the train I complimented a girl on her shoes and she told me about Madewell. Everything is seems like solid quality, with today’s cozy basic style. Bern V and I browsed a bit and then really were interested in the sale shoes area when Robin noticed us and had great input on what was available, fit, and style suggestions.
Items are quite pricey, but the sales rack helps. Plus because of the excellent service and classic style, it seems ok value wise.
I love my new dress and shoes!

Service is always a hit or miss. I’m a loyal shopper of Madewell. The designers are doing their jobs but not the staff management.
The ladies by the fitting room are great but why are the staff by the cashier so rude??? Either rude or happy? I also work in customer service so I try to be understanding but… wow.
Keep up the good work designers… staff management need training. Asap.

Madewell is one of my favorite stores and the girls who work there are so sweet. I was looking for a particular top and they located it for me in Chicago and were able to get it shipped over to my house for no charge. I buy everything only on sale or with my 15% teacher discount as Madewell prices can be steep. I love their tee’s and their style of tops as well as the cool rings. I am currently eyeing one of their leather totes but thus far it is still full price.

Lemme preface this review by saying… I have never really been a fan of Madewell. Mainly because I am more of a GAP shopper and well, I will never be better than the GAP. So, I mosey into this joint with some gal pals. My friend is ALL about this brand. Naturally, she is all up in this place, while I am waiting around to see her come out of the dressing room. Whilst waiting, a kind worker bee asks if I would like some water, as it is an unusually hot summer day. I say yes and to my surprise, and delight, she hands me a bottled water. This little ounce of kindness, along with a friend finding me an amazing coat for a killer deal, led me to my first Madewell purchase.
Definitely worth checking out, if not just for the great customer service and amazing sales in the back.

Excellent customer services! I love all their jeans. I usually wear size 25 for AG, J Brand, 7 etc. But for Madewell, I have to go for size 24. Their exchange policy is very personalized. Will back for updating my wardrobe.

Best shopping experience ever!
Found a denim jacket online and absolutely fell in love with it! It was the most gorgeous jacket I’ve ever laid eyes on, it was stunning, had this beautiful faded color, it also helped that it was on sale. But as much as I loved the jacket, I hate ordering clothes online even more. They’re never what I expect them to be, either the size is wrong, the quality isn’t up to par and worst of all, returning can be a total pain. Instead of going through that again, I went to the nearest Madewell in Pasadena to look for the jacket.
I walked in and began browsing around, and was immediately greeted by a sales rep whom directed me towards their denim jackets. They had plenty of sizes and they looked and felt like everything I had wanted them to be.
But how about the fit? Every one of those jackets were buttoned up and I could not unbutton them for the life of me. It was this battle between me and that jacket and the jacket was winning. When I finally managed to unbutton the darn thing, it didn’t fit. The sales reps were super helpful and picked out a size that fitted better, she also helped me unbutton it and saved me from another painful excruciating battle.
The jacket turned out perfect! Unfortunately, it was not on sale in the stores. Luckily, they said they will match the price online and ended up giving me a better deal than their online store.
I love love love the girls here and will keep coming back to this Madewell. Thank you so much for such a great shopping experience!

Great store, however their customer service stinks.
No one was around to help when I needed to find a purse I had seen online.
Employees just kept to themselves doing their own thing.
No help at all.

Wow! What a great store. I’d never really been in here before. Quality is definitely high. Things are Made Well. Whitney helped me out and informed me of the 15% student discount both at Madewell and J.Crew. Yippee! Now i just can’t go crazy with birthday month shopping!

The other reviewers have given you a sense of the Madewell style: part of the J Crew empire, but younger, hipper, quirkier. Two words to summarize their style: Alexa Chung. Only you know how those two words make you feel… Not everything works for or appeals to me and I think their prices are high. Having said that, their denim is inventive and most of the fabrics are high quality.
Anyhoo. In a world of horrific customer service, the Madewell crew shines bright. Helpful, not hovering. Willing to give you space or honest feedback. Truly happy to share info about discounts, so you get the best price possible. This staff just «gets it» and I’ll see them again soon.

Laid back décor & very organized. Enjoyed walking into a detail oriented store where you know they put thoughts into every inch and corner of the place. Came on a busy weekend to check it out since it is newly opened. Staff kept it nice and clean throughout the time and I was quite impressed of the selection as well.
I like how each section has a little theme, whether it’s by the style or color. I wish they had a bit more accessories cause I’m pretty big on it, but I think as a starting store this will do it for me. I am so glad they opened up this location since I usually make my purchases online. Friendly staff as well and I love how it’s walking distance from Zara. Two birds with one stone.
Quality items with a price tag– but you get what you paid for. I am a huge fan of their soft tops and chic yet simple designs. LOVE.
