Fast, easy, convenient and patient. Billy was very helpful. He answered my questions on the phone before I came in. And he even agreed to open the office a little bit late when I came after working hours. He charged a reasonable fee for his service but it saved me a lot of time to wait in line in DMV. High recommend.

What an awesome way to get your car registered! I drove my car down from Canada, needed to get it registered but I was dreading the DMV. Went in without an appointment on a Thursday afternoon around 3pm. Got immediate, friendly service. And, Sylvester, the cat, helped me fill out my forms. Ha! He sure is friendly. The place is a bit funky in terms of ambience … but the total time from walking in the door, until everything completed (and that includes removing old plates and installing new ones on the vehicle), was 15 minutes! That’s what I call SERVICE! I would highly recommend them, and will use them again when needed.

This place is great! I need to get my tags but had to show insurance which at the dmv would have taken me all day which I just don’t have time for so before they became overdue I found this place when trying to find a dmv open on a Saturday this what I found and billy helped me get them in less then 5 minutes! He also gave my kids some toys, overall the place is very inviting despite that is hidden and you feel welcome not like at the dmv where you wait for two hours plus to get what you need done!

Absolutely the best service — wish I had know about them before. Billy and CaliTags could not have been more helpful and conscientious. They were able to correct a situation that AAA would not have been able to and it would have taken multiple visits to the DMV. Don’t let the location fool you — fully certified by the DMV and far more personable! No reason to ever go back to the DMV!

This place is hidden in the sense that it looks like an auto shop. Found this place when I google searched DMV and I’m so glad I did! Unless you enjoy waiting a couple hours at the DMV on Rosemead come here! 5 min and I was done! I’m definitely coming back

My boyfriend asked me how my appt went with Pasadena Motor Vehicle Registration and Transfer went that day. «That part of my day was so amazing! And totally awesome», I said with glee! But seriously!!!
Shannon was fast, knowledgeable and efficient. She helped me with change of address forms for two vehicles, renewing the registration on one, and changing the status of one vehicle to non-​operational while its being stored.
The whole process took about 15 minutes, there was no line and no hassle. I paid a $ 30 fee for this privilege but it was certainly worth that vs waiting for hours and hours at the DMV. So worth it!
I can’t believe there ISN’T a line out the door for this place. Save yourself some time and sanity, and work with Shannon Perez.

Don’t wait at the DMV!!! THIS THE ONLY WAY TO GO. No wait, Awesome service, and no gimmicks! Tell them you are from Unilocal and they’ll give a discount. The service charge is extremely affordable considering what they do for you. For registering your car this is the best place. Any questions just call and you’ll talk to a person and not machine!

I found Cali Tags through Unilocal because I needed a quick title change without the hassle of the DMV. Mission accomplished! I was the only one in the office, meaning ZERO wait time and Shannon took great care of me. She answered all my questions in full and made a speedy transaction. I will definitely be back!

If you’ve never been blown away by how easy and fast someone can register your car, come here. Shannon is a rockstar at what she does. Super knowledgable and friendly. I was confused and shocked when she said told me I was all set and handed me my CA plates.
Seriously one of the best kept secrets. Never go to the DMV again!

I only wound up using this business b/​c one of the nearby competitors, that offers the same services, was closed on Saturday. I’m glad the woman who runs that joint decided to take the day off b/​c Billy delivered what others didn’t.
Long story short: I have a vehicle I intended to re-​register and believed it was going to cost me a small fortune to do so. I believed it was going to cost close to a grand b/​c half a dozen car registration businesses (in the SGV) told me that was the amount due. When I walked into PMVR&TS, however, Billy took a look at my paperwork, dug around a little bit in the DMV computer records, and found the amount due was actually hundreds of dollars less (than I had been told by his nearby competitors). He saved me a bunch!
This business receives a rating of five stars from me only b/​c Unilocal won’t allow me to give six. I’ll definitely patronize PMVR&TS in the future.
