Q. Wang begin painting at West L. A. College since 2006. Because he feel what he learn from school is boring, so he began to develop his own painting style (Freeism) since 2007. And opened his own art gallery 2014 in Las Vegas.

They are all for sale at Q Wang Gallery for $ 20,000 each. At first I thought it was a joke.
There is a term called folk art that encompasses Wang’s untrained «paint from the heart» style, and even the most FAMOUS folk artists do not command those kinds of dollars.
I found it really hard to see much talent in these paintings if they are by an adult. They’re flat and one-​dimensional. There’s no movement or texture conveyed in brushstrokes. There’s little to no visual interest. I suppose they’re okay from a color and composition standpoint, but $ 20,000 is an insult to anyone’s intelligence.
I was recently in Santa Fe, one of the most expensive and exclusive destinations for art in the world, and I saw better stuff by famous, celebrated, talented artists for less than half that price.
