Very disappointed. I feel that this firm takes advantage of our desperate need to adjust our legal situation in this country. First of all, I met with an attorney for my interview which I assumed it was the person that would handle my case, but it did not go that way, a complete different attorney took over and I never met this individual in person despite the fact that I tried to arrange a meeting with him on two different occasions! They took 4k for a case where the only job they did was an I-​130 family petition with the intent of filling a waiver. They never followed up and the only emails I got were billing notifications! I tried contacting the paralegal handling my case but never got an answer and a year later when I felt forced to fire the attorney they informed me that the paralegal had been fired long ago! ??? I exchanged a few emails with the attorney assigned and when I asked for a billing statement, they sent me a bill of over 3,500!!! For filling an I-​130 and legal research! Aren’t they supposed to know the law? They even charged me emails, phone calls and the time they took to read the law!!! At the very end, I informed I was unsatisfied with the charges because they were excessive and requested to be refunded 50% of what they took from me based on their lack of service and efficiency but the attorney never replied to my request, my only option is to file for fee arbitration. They might feel that 3,500 ain’t worth the trouble, but for people like me that count every penny this is a great deal and at times an entire year of savings. Not fair and they have the attitude of DEAL WITH IT, BUDDY!.. It’s sad and very unfortunate that we have to experience such horrible situations coming from our own attorney who we trust to resolve our issues that could possibly define our future in this land.

Expensive… always accepting cases even if the case is impossible as long as you have a downpayment and can start the monthly payment for the case!

About 3 weeks ago I received a phone call from the lawyer, explaining that all we could really do is wait until we hear from immigration.
He explained that we had to do alot of paper work because they couldn’t do it for us.
I understand now the process.
The lawyer said if we needed any help or information to just let him koow.
He was sorry there was confusion on my part.
I would refer anyone to them, the thing is dont be afraid to ask questions,
they really are nice people.

My case was very complicated. Some lawyers told me that my case was impossible. BUt I am very glad I trusted my case to Reeves and associates. Atty Boult and Roberto Fabian was very hands on and honest. Atty Boult discussed in detail the difficulty of my case. They are very accommodating and replied to my queries via email almost immediately. Amazing group of lawyers! Today i got approval letter of my permanent resident status from USCIS. What a blessing!!!

If you want easy to deal with, not overpriced legal representation with specialty immigration, I recommend Reeves Miller Zhang & Diza. They are not the typical mom& pop law firm having just one lawyer doing everything. They have a team of immigration lawyers being assisted by paralegals. They have a live person answering your phone calls so you will not be speaking with a machine and more importantly they have payment plans so you don’t have to sell your soul just to be represented by a lawyer in court or the US Immigration office.

UPDATE: I just spoke with our attorney with Reeves Miller Zhang & Diza. It was a very positive discussion and it looks like things will be moving along faster now. I’m grateful for our attorney’s time on the phone and attention to our case.

This is my friend’s story (told with her permission):
My friend, let’s call her Jane, approached Reeves & Assoc. for legal advice on an immigration issue. After a consultation, the lawyer said they had a strong case and encouraged pursuing legal action. A payment plan was established and the process was started. In the course of three years, the responsibility of establishing communication and receiving updates about the case fell upon Jane (the law firm never initiated contact) and each time, she received the same response of, «it’s in the process.» At that point, Jane stopped contacting the firm.
Two years later she received a call from the firm. They wanted to meet with her to discuss her case. One of the senior lawyers reviewed her case (the previous lawyer assigned to her case no longer worked there) and wanted to renew her case (free of charge). Again, no contact was made thereafter.
After a year, Jane made an appointment with the lawyer for a consultation after learning that a new law had passed that would help her case. During the consultation, the lawyer quoted her a price (5x the first case) and pushed her to sign a contract that same day. Jane asked for time to think it over and requested a copy of the entire case to review it herself. At that moment, without explanation, the lawyer refused to take her case any further and closed it.
Jane took her copy of the case and went to another law firm. After reviewing the case file, the new firm stated that the lawyer from Reeves & Assoc. was negligent in handling the case; they did not make prompt responses for deadlines and made other critical mistakes that prevented the case from moving forward. The damage was already done.

I had one of their associates helping me on a case and it was almost impossible to get a reply back. She spoke to me in the me in the condescending tone. If you would like to be treated with respect and be clear of your cases progress may I suggest going to a smaller lawyers office that wont patronize you. Prices are ridiculous and for the cost the service should be way better.
