We’ve been coming to this place since it opened on Colorado Blvd. years ago. The chicken is delicious, and their sauces are wonderful. If you order extra Japanese mustard dressing they charge you .75 for a tiny ramekin, which is outrageous. If you order salad as a substitute for rice they just give you a tiny extra portion. Love the food, but usually leave still hungry, and the server is a little rude.

The rotisserie chicken is awesome. I’ve tried the garlic and 32 spice and I’d recommend either one. The portion sizes are quite large and we usually split a plate and add a salad. I’m a little confused as to how people think the portions are small.

This place has the best chicken and the super yummy sauces(32 is my fave) makes it like nowhere else. The service is always great too it’s a small place so it’s not great for parties of more than 4.

This was recommended to me by my supervisor, and after a few years of waiting I finally tried it. This is just a good, solid lunch spot. There’s not a lot of seating, but the food is great, and the takeout is pretty quick(usually 5 – 10 minutes from order to out the door). I usually get the Pasadena Chicken sandwich. The chicken is juicy, the ingredients taste fresh, and the service is always quick and courteous. It’s a great, healthy alternative to fast food, and one of my new favorite spots is Pasadena.

My family has been going to this restaurant for for more than 20 years. They have the best chicken! Personally, I think it’s safe to say I have tried everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed. My favorite is either the garlic chicken or their chicken wraps for lunch. Also the owners are the sweetest! Always very welcoming and caring about their customers.

Tried this spot a few months ago as an alternative to our usual rotisserie chicken from ralphs, and came up with very mixed results… My boyfriend and I both had the garlic chicken with mashed potatoes, veggies, and rice. The mashed potatoes were hand-mashed and had a lovely, buttery flavor, as did the rice. The vegetables were cooked fine without any special seasoning. The chicken was moist and smothered in a garlic oil/butter mixture, but had a kind of mealy texture to it which was very off-putting to me. My boyfriends chicken was the same but he didn’t seam to mind the odd texture. Overall, everything was cooked properly, but didn’t have any stand out flavor. I was also too weirded out by the odd consistency of the chicken, and we haven’t been back since.

Service is top notch, the waitress was so friendly and kind. I have to say, I love that the front half of the restaurant is all windows. We ordered the Roasted Garlic and 32 Spices, yum! The salad and house dressing was yummy. The chicken was delicious and piping hot when it was served. The potato mash/cask was interesting and the tiny 2 slices of grilled squash weren’t enough to balance out all the flavors. The hot sauces were a plus but not necessary. The only gripe I have is that the entire plate is drenched in SOMUCHOIL. The bottom half of my rice was soaked as was the rest of the chicken. The table next to us ordered a steak and it looked so delicious… but also drenched in oil. I’ll definitely come back to try the Kastu Curry!

One of the best Rotisserie Chicken’s in Los Angeles! Always consistent. They know how to cook chicken. The Japanese Mustard Dressing is great too.

FOOD: This is probably my favorite place for chicken and rice in Pasadena! Their chicken is juicy and delicious. Their rice is super fluffy. Their hot sauce is so GOOD and addicting! I would go there just to buy their hot sauce. I usually get their Quarter Chicken White with rice and salad. They have a light Japanese mustard dressing that is pretty tasty. This place is very affordable compared to other place in Pasadena. AMBIANCE: This is a very small place. Super casual. Only downside is that you can’t seat a big party. CUSTOMERSERVICE: I’ve never had an issue with bad customer service here. My order usually comes pretty soon after I’ve ordered.

I have been going here since I was a little kid and it is always excellent. The chicken has so much flavor. It is moist and very tasty. This place is simple and to the point and I will continue going here as long as they are around.

My biggest problem with this place was portions when zankou down the street tastes better and can fill me for half the price. I would avoid this place at all costs. It’s another business that needs to get caught up with the times. I came here with 4 friends during a weekday lunch and we busted out laughing how small the portions were. The service was ok, but restaurants aren’t just about service and ripping you off. We warned our entire company of 100+ not to add this location to our regular lunch places. The average price of a lunch is around $ 14.95 uh no… $ 5 more I’d rather get a French dip at Houstons on arroyo.

The food is «Ok» but the service is horrible. They yelled at my coworker for asking extra dressing on her food because her chicken Caesar wrap was very dry. Not only they told her that they would charge her extra for the dressing. They also asked her name and told her«never come back again». Hell yeah!!! never again

One of the best rotisserie chicken restaurants I’ve been to in a long time, this place is 10 times better than Zankou and El Pollo Loco, we had the 32 spices rotisserie & garlic chicken and they both were awesome, comes with rice garlic mashed potatoes, grilled zucchini and a salad. This place is a must try but it’s very small in side so seating is limited, just order to go. And the parking isn’t great but I got lucky and found a spot in front of the door but definitely worth the walk. Don’t forget to ask for their homemade hot sauce, it really good although you really don’t need to add anything to there food.

This place is wildly overpriced for what it is. We ordered the 32 spiced chicken and the s-4 Japanese style steak medium rare, $ 42 total. $ 24 for the steak alone. I expected to have my mind blown. Steak was medium well and tough and fatty. Just pass on the steak. You can make a better one at home. The chicken was flavorful but a little dry as well. The steak was way over seasoned and salty, and I like things salty! Rice was great, nice and buttery. I would just order the rice by itself. Veggies are your run of the mill steamed and crunchy. Maybe we should have just stuck with their name sake, the rotisserie chicken. It seems the way to go and more reasonably priced but I still feel the entire menu is over priced. If they were charging ½ or ¾ of what they are, this place would be a gem. I get it, it’s a mom and pop… Well then everything better be on point and cooked to perfection. Additionally, they seemed to have raised their prices from previous menus posted. It’s decent, just don’t expect much.

This little rotisserie is amazing! Very family-friendly establishment with great food. PARKING: Metered street parking(free after 6 on weekdays) or nearby street parking SERVICE: The elderly Japanese woman who was our waitress was so friendly and helpful! She brought us boxes for our leftovers and immediately started boxing mine up for me. I was so embarrassed. FOOD: Delicious! You can’t go wrong with either the garlic(vampire death) or the 32 spices chicken. Both are not spicy and very flavorful. It’s a filling meal with some roasted zucchini, rice, mashed potatoes, and a light salad.

Solid chicken here ! Very simple. Ordered the Chef’s Special with dark meat with rice and veggies. Enjoyed the chicken which was moist in the inside but slightly crispy on the outside. The rice and the steamed veggies brought my meal all together. I want to try the garlic or the 32 spice chicken next go round. Yum !

Sad experience. Such a huge difference from previous times. You would think Lunch Specials mean their food is cheaper, not if they’re gonna charging extra for things without telling you. An 8 – 9 dollar lunch meal gets up to 12 because of a small curry in a tiny sauce container which they didn’t even say they would charge me for. $ 3.00? Not worth it. Only thing they said was ‘sorry’ and they’re still gonna charge me. definitely not nice about it either. Gonna think twice about eating here since the food is alright.

I have been coming here with my family literally once a week since just after I was born. I’m not sure how we discovered it, but it’s definitely our favorite place to grab some chicken!(Sorry Roscoe’s) Through all of their moves, and relocations, the quality of the food has remained constant. That is to say: Amazing! I get the chicken katsu with curry. oooooOOOoooh my mouth is watering just thinking about it! The portions are large, and more than enough to last me for lunch the next day! I also love the service! Trust me when I say I have seen my fair share of servers come and go in this place and all of them have been of the highest caliber and treated us like family. Really, I don’t have a single bad memory of any of them. If you’re looking for something garlic-y, look no further than their garlic chicken. Seriously, that’s one that you’ll heat up the next morning in the office and people will be so jealous!!! It’s a small place, but not so small you feel cramped. You can also order to go if you’d prefer to dine at home or at the office, but man, nothing beats piping hot food straight from the kitchen to your mouth!!! I really hope you enjoy your meals here as much as I have these past 25 or so years!!!

I’ve been here once before and loved their garlic chicken plate, and this second time around did not disappoint. This hole in the wall doesn’t look like much from it’s simple exterior, but trust me the food is amazing. I ordered the Garlic Chicken Plate and it includes: Half a chicken, lightly fries mashed potatoes, white rice, zucchini, and a salad(get the japanese dressing, trust me). It’s a mom and pop setting and the service and style of food is laid back and relaxing. Definitely a must-try spot.

June 20, 2014 Friday night dinner with the boyfriend before going to the Fusion Friday to the Pacific Asia Museum next door. We ordered the half chicken with fries and salad(B) and a side of zucchini-grilled. Note: there is like a $ 3.75 share fee, so order a side dish to avoid that. The place is very small and gets busy. The salad came out first. I ordered it with Japanese style dressing and it was extremely salty. I wasn’t able to eat it, so I took like three small fork-full of lettuce and that was it for me. The grilled zucchini came out and they were good, not amazing or anything, but fairly well cooked. Now, the entrée, the half chicken was amazing. It was super moist and the skin of the chicken… perfectly seasoned! Yum! The fries on the side covered half the plate! The boyfriend and I used like at least ¼ of the ketchup bottle because we are ketchup people. Overall, our bill came out to be $ 17.44 and we left them a grand total of $ 20 for our meal. Don’t like change.
