Here’s how we can help:

* By saving you time in the planning stages. We’ll do the research for you and present to you the best options, cutting through the clutter.

* By checking reviews to help ensure that the hotel, cruise line or tour provider will meet or exceed your expectations.

* By requesting VIP treatment for you: free room upgrades and/or complimentary amenities. We were able to arrange a $ 300/day upgrade for one client (a $ 2100 benefit for their week-long stay).

* By providing ongoing service, as needed, during your travels (e.g., lost luggage).

We plan upscale travel for individuals and groups. We regret that we’re unable to help with air-only requests.

History

Established in 2010.

Both Vicki and Al had corporate and leisure travel planning experience. Al headed up the global travel program for a Fortune 1000 company, and Vicki provided travel and event planning for a Fortune 500 company. In 2010 they decided to take their combined experience and passion for travel, and parlay it into ScheckTrek Travel.

Thanks to some hard work, an attitude of service, and wonderful clients – many of whom came from Yelp – the business has continued to grow. A recent client was the president of a state university, for whom we planned a luxury golf tour of Ireland (complete with castle stay) for major invited donors to the university.

Al and Vicki Scheck head up the family-run ScheckTrek Travel. Passionate world travelers themselves, they’ve been to 26 countries on 4 continents, and 38 states + DC. I found ScheckTrek Travel through Unilocal!when I started to panic about finding the perfect place for our honeymoon that still fit within our budget. My fiancé and I tried to research different honeymoon locations on our own, but there were so many places to go, hotels to stay at, flights to book, excursions to plan… the options were endless and we ended up more confused than when we started.
Vicki called me the same day I reached out to ScheckTrek. She immediately took over and within 2 days, had already sent me over a list of destinations and hotel packages that fit what we were looking for. I had to change our budget a couple times throughout the process and Vicki was super accommodating. She continued to send over honeymoon options until we found one that matched everything we were looking for at a reasonable cost.
Vicki has been a life saver! She has been so helpful throughout this entire process and made everything so simple and easy for us. I’ve never had to wait more than 24 hours to hear back from her and even after the trip was booked and paid for, she’s emailed me with followup reminders about the honeymoon. It’s been crazy trying to keep track of all the details of the wedding, so having someone as organized as Vicki handling our honeymoon has been amazing! She’s saved us so much time, stress and headaches and that’s priceless.
My fiancé and I can’t wait to visit St. Lucia for our honeymoon next month! I know it’s going to be a very special, once in a lifetime trip and we have Vicki to thank for making sure it’s everything we wanted!

I can not thank Vicki enough for arranging such a special cruise for my wife’s birthday. There were 23 of us in all at the end and we all had a great time. She did not only help with the cruise arrangements, but she helped set up a party on the ship and all the amenities. Can you say Travel agent and party planner in one!!! She was also great in keeping the group and I informed about status on payments, tips for excursions, helpful tips about getting ready and everything. There wasn’t a thing she missed. On top of that, she sent each of a very nice luggage tag before the cruise and a bon voyage/Happy Birthday basket to our cabin. I only thought to call an agent to help me with group arrangements, but after this experience, I will be using ScheckTrek Travel for all of our travel arrangement. Thanks again Vicki for the great service and wonderful Birthday memories (without all the nightmares of planning).

I’ve never used a travel agent before, but Schecktrek has been a first-class experience from beginning to… I can’t say «end», because Vicki continues to treat us as valued clients two months after we have returned from our cruise. Her enthusiasm is contagious and her vacation tips, suggestions, and reminders made our trip hassle-free and very enjoyable. She is very personable and knows her way around the travel business. She persistently worked on the cruise line to get us a stateroom upgrade and additional shipboard credits after our vacation was already paid in full. That was totally unexpected and a rare level of customer service.

In October of 2011, three friends and I used ScheckTrek Travel to procure lodging for a five-day safari in Masai Mara, Kenya. They helped us find and choose two incredible camps, and also took care of the logistics of traveling from one to the other as well as finding flights to and from the Mara. They even found restaurants for the four of us to visit during our layovers in Nairobi.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience traveling through the UK and Italy this past October and we have ScheckTrek Travel to thank for it.
Our trip was immeasurable enhanced through Vicki & Al’s expert advice and recommendations.
We were able to see and enjoy the beauty and history of both countries in ways we never could have on our own!
They thought of everything, providing us with multiples of choices and if there were questions, they gave it their top priority.
From the 600 yr. old hotel in the Cottswalds, UK (really cool), to personal tours of Florence and the Amalfi coast, it all came off seamlessly… absolutely perfect… so much so that we’ll be going back, but I digress.
They even arranged to have a bottle of chilled champagne waiting for us in our room in Rome… wow!

I used ScheckTrek Travel for a business trip to New York. They were able to get me a hotel rate that was $ 39 less than the negotiated rate for the trade show I was attending. When I checked in, the clerk said, «I see you’ve requested a recently renovated room.» I hadn’t, but ScheckTrek had asked them to take good care of me. Most important, on the day I was to fly home, I was too sick to travel. I made one call to the agency, and they handled not only extending my stay at the hotel, but changing the flight as well — even though I hadn’t originally booked the flight through them! Great service.

Two of our closest friends decided to have their wedding in Maui this year. We were definitely up for the adventure. We searched for the best travel agent & ended up choosing ScheckTrek Travel out of Los Angeles.

Vicki and Al were so thorough & provided us with the best info about Maui. They even gave me driving distances to/from various points on the island. This was definitely time saving for a busy person like me. If we had any questions their response time was almost immediate. They gave us many options of hotels near/far and price points to choose from w/money saving in mind.

Their correspondence was excellent, friendly and efficient. They put our minds at ease and booked us on the best/most direct flight to Maui with an ocean front room awaiting us.

The best thing about ScheckTrek is that the agents are well traveled and can offer many tips for the various areas that you may be interested in. They also are experts in finding the most comfortable, but elegant hotels.

We’re already thinking about going to Bermuda in the fall & will be in contact with them again.
