If I could give a 20 Star rating I would! I have never met a more welcoming Staff. The Receptionist was LOVELY. Everyone I encountered were incredibly warm and on top of their game. My Appointment with Dr. Battaglia was informative. He is so knowledgeable and really explained everything to me. His Energy alone was very comforting and answered all of my Questions. He will be my go to Doctor from now on.
A doctor Dr. Battaglia referred me to was booked up for over a Month. When I asked if Dr. Battaglia would send a referral to another Doctor who could see me sooner he called up the original doctor, spoke to him directly and I will be seen THIS WEEK!!!

I have heard great things about the Battaglias, father and son. But Judy Liu, md who works with them was terrible. Told me to come back in a week with my plugged ear, even though I am due to fly next week. Insisted she could not do a thing until she reviewed my CT scan from 4 years ago, which I brought with me and she had in her hands. Ignored my high bp and racing heart rate. Would never go back.

The one star is for the staff not the Dr.
I arrived early enough to fill out the paperwork since I was a new patient. It took 1 hour after my scheduled appointment to be called into the room. The only reason I was called was the dr her self put me in the room. The staff was rushing to get out and leave for lunch. Dr Liu took her time to explain and answer my questions. She was patient and in no rush! She was going to do procedure and not a second after 12 noon all the staff was gone. It was a ghost town office. Luckily another Dr stepped in to her rescue and mine.
DR Liu you get 10 stars!

Good luck getting someone on the phone. And even when you do, expect to be on hold for at least 8 minutes before they tell you that no appointments are available. They should really invest in hiring more front office people. This is where medicine is heading I guess.

I just got finished with my appointment here and as someone who’s never been to an ENT specialist before I can say this was a painless experience! I saw Dr. Liu who was kind enough to see me the day after I called in, she was extremely gracious and accommodating and completely assuaged my fears about whatever was going into my ears. After I left my ear felt so much better, and because they did a really thorough check up on my ears I am now worry free!
You can find plenty of two hour parking spaces on Madison if you can’t find parking right in front. Thursday’s & Tuesday’s are their busiest days so if you schedule for those days you will probably have to wait around a bit but it’s not too bad, and the office staff is very friendly, repeatedly offering patients water, mints, etc. I would definitely recommend going here if you’re having ear problems or just want to put some worries to rest!

I highly recommend Dr Steven Batagllia! My son had an issue and we had seen three different doctors, a chiropractor, and an Eastern medicine doctor and no one could answer my questions properly. Dr Battaglia was the first person to actually get to the bottom of what was going on. He was very knowledgeable, and really explained things in a way that we all understood. You can tell that he really cares and I am no longer worried about my boy! Thank you so much! I highly, highly, recommend him to parents he is great with kids!

This review is mostly about the office, not the doctor. My four year old son saw Dr. Battaglia, who was fine. But we had an appointment at 9:45am and we waited in an exam room for two hours. Two hours. With a four year old. I have no idea how an office is already running behind two hours unless they overbooked which is just so greedy and inconsiderate. I would have appreciated if they had told us when we got there that the doctor was running that late or had given us periodic updates. But they closed the door of the exam room and, I think, promptly forgot about us. In fact, about an hour into our wait, the nurse popped her head in and said, «Oh. Um, who are you here to see?»
By the time the doctor saw my son (which took all of ten minutes), he was cranky, hungry, tired and I had a lovely $ 50 parking ticket waiting for me when I got back to my car. Again, the doctor was perfectly adequate but I wouldn’t waste my time again with this office.

Dr Steve has been taking care of our family for the past 10 years — everything from ear infections (too many to count) to throat problems. Not only is he a true pro but his warmth and genuine care set him apart. You will not feel rushed, but you you will feel like like you’re with a doc who really knows his stuff and is treating you like family. Don’t know how you could find a better all-​around ENT!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE AND DR. PAUL LEE. I came in once for myself for an ear problem I’ve been having since May of this year. I FINALLY had someone address the problem and I am so relieved. Dr. Lee is very welcoming, easy to talk to, and explained everything in a clear and simple way. I’m already feeling much better. I’ll be coming back in a month for a checkup.
I also brought my dad here and again, he was great with my dad, who cant hear well and doesn’t understand English too well either. He explained everything to him in a way where he could understand, and made him feel very comfortable. My dad was very happy with his visit here. He will also be back in a month for a check up.

I’m so glad Unilocal has reviews for doctors. I always check to make sure I’m getting seen by someone who is kind, compassionate, and competent. Dr. Lee is definitely as great as everyone says he is! I came in for what I suspected to be a chronic sinus infection caused by wisdom tooth extraction. He listened to my concerns, asked all the right questions, and confirmed my hypothesis. Next, he took a nasal swab, explaining beforehand that it would be uncomfortable, which is definitely true. It was pretty gross, but he was happy about that because, «it makes for a great culture!» Great sense of humor haha.
He then explained the course of treatment and put me on a heavy dose of antibiotics for two weeks. Because of my background in science, he also explained why he picked a certain antibiotic over the classic amoxicillin, and also prescribed some other steroidal nasal sprays and an anti fungal in case the antibiotic gave me problems (I told him it happened before). I felt very happy that he was so thorough. Some of the prescriptions I didn’t wind up needing (like the anti-​fungal), but I like the fact that he wrote it up for precautions. He also made sure that I’d call back after my course of medications was over so we could assess the treatment. I wish all my doctors was as thorough as this!
The only reason I’m giving ⁴⁄₅ stars is because prior to coming in, I had some issues with scheduling because of my insurance. I wound up making several calls between the ENTs, my PCP, and my insurance company, but this should not have been necessary if the scheduler and billing specialist had just listened to my explanation about my insurance.

Had surgery performed by Dr. Paul lee. He is such an incredible doctor and I was so incredibly lucky to be under his care. His staff is excellent and his attention to detail was on point. I truly appreciated how direct and honest he was. Would not have wanted another surgeon to perform this tonsillectomy. Amazing surgeon with great personal skills! Highly recommended

I am also a health care provider, so as much as I am rating Dr Battaglia’s office from a patient’s perspective, I cannot help but compare it with my own as well. I have always prided my office as among the top quintile or better, among all the health care provider offices I had visited, and Dr B’s office is at least every bit as good.
He is confident yet down to earth. He gives patients his full attention when he is with them and never seemed rushed. To top that off, he demonstrated compassion and common sense in his diagnoses and treatment recommendations. His entire office staff is almost just as good, with one mediocre exception. I am speaking as if I know how others feel, because I do. I had referred my wife (a health care provider as well), as well as two of my patients to him over the past few months, and they were equally happy with the referral.

One year I needed an ENT right away to get my ears cleaned as I couldn’t hear and my mom called her doctor and asked if he could recommend me one in the pasadena area… I called and the next day I had an appt with dr battaglia. I show up and wait and it turns out he was busy and got «stuck» with Dr. Paul Lee. 3 years later I make appointments strictly with Dr. Lee. He is a really great doctor. He goes above and beyond and he remembers you. Everytime I come in he greets me as if we’ve been friends for years. He always seems to have some advice for me too and I’m always willing to listen when it comes from someone as great as him. He always tells me to give him a call if I ever need anything. He is definitely worth checking out if you need an ENT doctor or an expensive friend (whatever copayment is haha). The girl at the front desk that also took my blood pressure. You’re awesome too. Keep up the great work dr. We need more doctors like you in this world.

I think the office help was fantastic. As for Dr. Battaglia super cool doc.
Seems to really know his stuff.
Hope I don’t need to come back.
But if I do need a ear nose or throat doctor he’s the man.

Called on Tuesday and was scheduled to see a doctor on Friday. Does that even happen anymore? Well it did. I had been calling around to different ENT’s and was looking at 3 – 4 weeks out to be seen!
The scheduling assistant Mia was a true professional. She was courteous and pleasant to deal with. Kind of a rarity these days when it comes to front office staff. Troni greeted me with a huge smile when I arrived. In spite of being pretty busy with patients she never lost her cool. I was even offered a bottle of water while I waited (it’s the little things that make such a huge difference).
I was seen by Dr Steven Battaglia. He listened, explained what he was about to do and examined me. All the while, reassuring me there would be little discomfort and he was right. I was a bit apprehensive as I’m still traumatized from an ear exam gone wrong as teen which ended in a ton of pain. He let me know what I was experiencing and an easy to follow rehab plan.
A great visit! And if I ever need an ear doc, I’ll definitely return.

This is an office with extremely talented ETN doctors and an awesome staff.
First, here is my opinion of the doctors. For many years I suffered from severe sinus infections, headaches, dizziness, facial pain, sleep problems, and others problems) and I saw so many doctors but no one correctly diagnosed my problem until I saw Dr. Lee earlier this year. Dr. Lee correctly diagnosed me with severe septum deviation and turbinate hypertrophy conditions that all caused the narrowing of my nasal cavities. After a complete discussion, I made the decision to have the necessary surgery, and I am extremely glad I did.
Dr. Lee performed the surgery and repaired the deviated septum and turbinate hypertrophy problems in an outpatient setting and I was under general anesthesia. It took about one to two hours. I went home soon afterwards. And, within a few days, I was back to work. I now have a better life style and those problems I listed above were all gone. I am so glad I had the surgery and that I selected Dr. Lee who is a great doctor and person. He has a great way of making you feel well informed so you know exactly what to expect before and after the surgery. I referred at least two friends to him.
Now, here is my opinion of the staff. At this office you will be greeted and attended to by the friendliest, professional, and genuinely courteous staff you have ever experienced in a doctors’ office. Within my three visits to the office, the staff’s awesomeness was the same and never changed, So, I had to find out who was responsible for this great staff. I met Heidi Kremer who is the officer manager who works with this amazing staff and she said that they naturally are that way. The members of Ms. Kremer’s staff include Troni, Grace, Mia, Marissa, Joyce, Victoria, Micah, and Abby (and by the way all of the women who work there are quite cute).
So, if you are looking for an extremely talented ETN doctor office and an amazing and lovely staff, look no further.

As a pharmaceutical rep I’d like to give another perspective to Dr. Lee and Dr. Battaglia’s ENT practice. Honestly, you never know what to expect meeting with a doctor!
During my first visit, I was greeted with friendly welcoming smiles — always a plus! The staff requested I leave product information behind for the doctors to review, which is standard practice. My plan was to follow up later in the week, but within a few days, I actually received an email from them requesting a meeting. If they are that responsive to a sales rep, I can only imagine how they are with their clients.
I met with the doctors and staff yesterday, and was once again greeted with a smile, even though they were busy assisting patients. I met with both Dr. Lee and Dr. Battaglia. What impressed me about that was that many doctors, especially those that have been in practice for a while, start to feel content in maintaining the «status quo» — and not venturing out to look at new products or procedures. Not only did they take the time to understand the products (i.e. scar gel, headache cream, post procedure wound gel), but they also made sure their staff were trained on their use. Their only interest was making sure they had the best products to offer their patients!
I do not usually write Unilocal reviews, but I felt that this office truly deserved the recognition. The staff is competent and personable. Dr. Battaglia and Dr. Lee are very engaging and have a passion for extreme patient care!

I absolutely must refute the negative reviews of Dr. Paul Lee. He was extremely pleasant and attentive and zeroed in on a diagnosis for my pain very quickly. He asked key questions which led him to his diagnosis and spent as much time with me as necessary. He was respectful and polite — and sensitive to my problem.
I have seen Dr. Charles and Dr. Steven over the years and given their excellence and their reputation I could not believe that they would chose a colleague who was not top-​notch.
I agree with the other reviewers about Dr. Steven — he’s A-​1. But my real praise is for Dr. Charles. He may come across as a bit crusty sometimes, but he really is very funny. And he is a GOOD DOCTOR. Several years ago I had been seeing many doctors and dentists to try to find out the cause of terrible pain. Desperate I went to Dr. Charles to see if it was sinus related. He was the only one to call it right, and he sent me to a neurologist where I belonged. It wasn’t even an ENT problem!
The Battaglias are the best, and Dr. Lee is a good addition to their staff. The reason I didn’t give them five stars is that the wait time can be interminable sometimes.

Dr. Steven Battaglia has been my ENT for many years. Luckily, I do not have to go very often. I am also proud of him for growing his practice. His dad started the practice long ago and still works part-​time. Some people do not care for the art work, but I know his dad made these items himself, and I say good for him! I wish i could semi-​retire and practice some type of hobby. Maybe in 10 more years. But, I digress.
Dr. Battaglia is a very kind man. He has seen my wife and both my grown sons for various issues and he is always pleasant and professional. He knows his stuff. It is really hard to work full time as a doctor and also to run the medical practice as an owner, but I think Dr. Battaglia is doing a great job.

I had surgery 9 days ago. Dr Battaglia was the surgeon that performed my thyrodectomy.
Prior to choosing Dr Battaglia for this surgery I met with three other physicians.
Dr Battaglia was able to give the most clear, understandable, through explanation of my situation to myself and my husband. He was kind, informative, open to all questions from both of us, and willing to give us adequate time during the office visit.
He also supported the least invasive surgery possible for my condition and gave excellent reasons for tjhe suggested choice.
He saw me prior to the surgery while I was in pre op and again was kind, supportive, and informative. I felt that he really wanted the best for me and was going to perform at his best during the surgery.
I am happy to report that my recovery has gone well. I saw him today for my follow up visit and again he was kind, supportive and informative.
His office staff iwere also very good. Through out the process I felt like I was treated like a person rather than an insurance card. Dr. Battaglia saw me very close to my actual appointment times (within 10 minutes).
When my lab results came back with good news I recieved a cheertful phone call from his office staff member letiing me know. She was acutally enthusiastic.
My overall experience with Dr Battaglia has been excellent.
