Rebecca was a GREAT doula. We were expecting our first child in May 2015 and contacted Rebecca about our needs and birth plan. We wanted as natural a birth as possible, and Rebecca was happy to meet our needs and support our plans. When contractions began, we kept in touch with her throughout the day, giving her the info on what was going on, hour by hour. When the time was right, she came to our place and helped my wife find good laboring positions. She also came with us to the hospital, and stayed at our sides throughout the (rather long) labor– and her positive attitude and energy NEVER wavered. Rebecca was always on top of things, helping us advocate for our birth plan– even when the OB’s proposed various interventions. While the labor was at times very stressful, Rebecca’s help was truly invaluable and made things much better.
It was also nice to know that she had back-​up doulas, in case she would have had a scheduling conflict. Thank you, Rebecca!
