Ting is awesome. She’s really patient and fun to be around. She listens to what I want all the time and gives me great suggestions. I really liked the makeup and whimsical floral hair styles she did on my big day.

I am 100% happy with Ting and her team! I am so glad that I chose ting as my wedding make-​up artist! Reason no.1: I like her make up style and hair styles! She will do the make up and hair style based on the wedding theme and she also gave me lots of skin suggestions so my skin looks great on my big day~ Reason no.2: I like her make up on my two moms, moms are very happy because the makeup and hair style fits their age, not too fake, and still looks super natural and beautiful. Ting Makeup was amazing to work with for my wedding day! Ting and her team made everything seamless and easy, from the initial correspondences via email, to setting up a hair and makeup trial before the wedding, and beautifying my bridesmaids, moms, and myself on the big day. Jessica did an amazing job on my wedding day hair and makeup. I got compliments on how great I looked, but most importantly, everything stayed on throughout the night! Ting Makeup & Hair did an absolutely perfect job for my wedding day. TIng is extremely easy to work with, and has a great eye for beauty and style. I’m so lucky she was actually free on the weekend I needed her.
Ting and her associate were able to accommodate my early wedding ceremony, arriving 6AM sharp to get me and my bridesmaid ready. I’m extremely particular about makeup and hair (as I’m sure most brides are), but she listened carefully to my descriptions to achieve just the right look. I rarely have great experiences with makeup artists, as they often try to put way too much make up on, but Ting’s style is very natural and elegant which was perfect for the look I was trying to go for. I felt comfortable in my makeup all day. Ting also did my mom’s makeup and I thought my mom looked radiant!
You are also able to rent jewelry and veils from Ting Makeup & Hair, which was another additional bonus. Her items are, again, classic and modern.

Ting did an absolutely amazing job at my maternity photo session, the whole experience working with her was so wonderful.
I couldn’t have been more thrilled with the way my hair and makeup looked, Ting made me (a 35W pregnant mom) feel and look beautiful again! I was so please with how everything came out and how professional she was. On top of that, she is also great with fashion and style setting she helped with my photo session theme setup along with the photographers, she’s an all-​package deal!

Jessica did my makeup and hair on my wedding day and Ting did my mom and mother– in– law makeup and hair. They are so professional and talent, they know what looks good on customers. And they are always come to your place early just in case if i have take more time to finish my makeup. I like them !

I love Ting! For my wedding I was in a dilemma about which makeup artist to use since there was quite a few around town. So Ting was recommended by a mutual friend and after having met her for a trial run I immediately booked her. She was fun, sweet, and easy to work with. She listened to what I liked and didn’t like and told me not to worry on my wedding day; she would work her magic.
On the day of the wedding Ting and her team of 5 artists showed up for my wedding party of 8 plus the mother in laws, the sister in law, the aunts, the groom, etc… Not only were they all fast and super efficient, everyone loved their makeup. It was natural, light, and beautiful; just the way I wanted it for my wedding.
I started out with a very natural look and gradually moved to a smokier look throughout the night as I had three outfit changes and three hairdos. I loved each and every one of my looks.
I’ve been trying to make it to one of Ting’s makeup classes as I’ve heard that they are professional and fun and had limited seating. I hope she throws one in the San Gabriel valley soon so that I’m able to attend one.

My friend referred Ting to me for my wedding day makeup and hair artist, and she did not disappoint!!! I did the trial run with her just to get a feeling of how great she is, and after 3 hours I was amazed!!! I almost could not recognize myself with such gorgeous makeup and elegant hair style! She knows her products very well, and she is willing to spend the time to communicate with me and find the best makeup and hair style for me. I know I can depend on her that she will do an excellent job on my wedding day so I decided to go with her team without any doubt.
Throughout our planning she gave me great suggestions on hair styles and makeups. She also provided accessories and veils for rent at the time of my wedding, so less troubles for me! Also, because I had to change dresses during the reception hours, she personalized every detail on hair and makeup to suit what’s best for me… the dress, the makeup, the hair, accessories, the overall look, everything.
On the wedding day Ting herself and her two stylists arrived on time, showed great professionalism and attitude, and really focus on making everyone of us (2 moms, 3 bridesmaids, B&G) to look our best!

Ting and her staff are very professional. I had Crystal, who is a senior artist, worked on my hair and makeup for my wedding. She arrived promptly at my house and listened to me to achieve my desired look. Unlike most brides, I wanted more of a dramatic look. She did a great job on the makeup. As for the hair, Crystal did an funtastic job on my hair! The braids were intact all day and my hair looked voluptuous. I have dark hair and she suggested that I get highlights so the braids could stand out. She knew what she was talking about because my hair looked wonderful on my special day. Crystal and Ting also worked on my mother and my bridesmaids hair/​makeup. I couldn’t be more happier. Thank you Ting and Crystal!

I don’t usually make an effort to write a Unilocal review but because Ting is so talented at what she does, I just had to rave about her!
Ting has done my hair and makeup for several events and created different looks to fit the occasion. For my engagement photoshoot, she gave me a modern, sexy look. She emphasized my eyes by giving them a smokey look and kept my hair sleek and straight. On my wedding day, I wanted a romantic side-​swept hairdo that was half-​up and half-​down. I know that Ting really listened to me because that’s exactly what she gave me! She created this amazing hairstyle by curling my hair, tied it loosely on side of my neck, and secured it with a small braid that wrapped along the bottom of my hair! It was elegant and gorgeous! The added bonus was that I was able to party on the dance floor without worrying that it would fall apart! This past year, she also did my pregnancy photoshoot. This time, she was able to make me feel pretty, even though I was nauseous and preggie, with more natural hair and makeup so I wouldn’t look overly done.
All the looks that she’s created for me have been absolutely amazing! I HIGHLY recommend Ting to do your hair and makeup for any special event!

Ting Makeup & Hair styled my fiancé and my engagement shoot. Ting was very helpful and knowledgeable about what to wear and what will look good together. She even took the time to see the outfits together and help us accessorize.
Ting also did makeup for my fiancé, and her assistant Jessica did her hair. My fiancé appreciated how Ting and Jessica asked questions about what my fiancé preferred, and helped her keep a natural look. They even accommodated a last minute change in our scheduling, which was super nice. In the end, our pictures turned out beautifully!
Ting is always so professional and quick to respond, which we really appreciate when working with multiple wedding vendors. We were MORE than happy with our decision to use Ting Makeup & Hair. Ting is my go-​to person for special occasion hair and make-​up because she does GREAT work. I have some flaws that make it pretty difficult for makeup artists to work on me (uneven eyelid folds, acne, uneven lips, etc) but Ting is able to work miracles and make me look and feel pretty. I’m not very good at doing my own makeup and hair, so I always call Ting whenever I need a makeover to attend a wedding (and for my family photo shoots). Her and her team are very professional, knowledgeable, and they’re the sweetest girls! They’re hard to book so I advise everyone to inquire early!

BEST STYLIST EVER!
Ting did my hair for my wedding last September. I gotta say, no one can ever do my hair like she does!
We had a try out session prior to my big day. She is very thorough and professional, and VERY thoughtful. She had sent me pictures of the hair style that are suitable for the shape of my face and head for me to choose from. On the day of trial, she designed the most stunning hair style just for me according to my needs and concerns!
On the day of the wedding, Ting did my hair while her assistant (also very tentative and professional) did my brides maids. They arrived on time, and were super fast! My hair turned out just as stunning as she promised. Even better than I expected! I have the type of hair that cannot hold any styling for more than 3 hours and she promised me that it would stay for the whole day, and it did! Ting made sure I looked perfect before we head out to do photos, and I gotta say, I complete trust her and her advices. I never had to worry about my hair for the whole day and I had endless compliments on it even until today!
You can always count on her to make sure you look your best on your big day.
She also do makeup and hair for special events. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs a reliable, professional, out of the world stylist!

I have had my Unilocal account for a few years now but have yet to write a review. I am glad I saved my first review for Ting Makeup & Hair. It just proves how incredibly happy I am with her services because let’s face it, I am pretty lazy when it comes to writing.
Where to begin… My fiancé and I had already booked our wedding photography, the amazing Jeremy Chou, and our engagement photos were coming up quicker than I had imagined. I had no idea what to wear or what would look good, or who was going to do my makeup, so I was stressing out like crazy. Jeremy and our wedding planner had referred Ting so I thought well if they are both recommending her she must be good! As soon as I saw Ting’s website and portfolio I immediately thought, YES! I must have her for my wedding. I contacted her right away and she was very quick to respond and I booked her immediately. Thank goodness she was available for our wedding date and engagement session. She books really quickly so keep that in mind when you are planning your wedding ladies!
On the day of our engagement session we met Ting early in the morning and she was very welcoming. She is so sweet and made the entire experience so much fun. I showed her some pictures of the makeup/​hair styles I liked and she definitely nailed the look. Ting also offers styling in her packages and I’m glad we added that service on because I’m not so great with fashion. Before our engagement session we went over wardrobe options and accessories. She styled my fiancé and I both to make sure we complimented each other and weren’t too ‘matchy matchy.’ Everything turned out perfect.
The overall experience was amazing; I cannot say enough good things about Ting. She made me look flawless and I receive so many compliments! The pricing is also great for the services you receive. I was referred to Ting Makeup by a friend of mine for my engagement session. I quickly got in contact with Ting and she was very professional and responsive. She took the time to answer all the questions I had. I also did a little research on her work and she has an amazing portfolio on her website and Facebook page. She has done so many weddings, engagement sessions, commercial photo shoots, and magazine photo shoots that I believe she was the most experienced makeup artist that I’ve researched. I quickly booked Ting and luckily she was available for the day of my shoot, since she’s not so easy to book. Ting had told me that she was starting styling service that was available as an add-​on to the package and, with me and my fiancé’s busy schedule, I decided to go with it.
I think the greatest advantage about Ting was that she has so much knowledge with this industry and so much experience with engagement sessions. She knew exactly what to wear, what not to wear, what accessory to match, and, of course, the most updated makeup/​hair trend. After a more in-​depth discussion with Ting on my ideas/​vision for my shoot, Ting helped me and my fiancé picked out three sets of outfits that correlated with each other, she basically helped me put my vision together. (My savior)
On the day of my shoot, Ting applied makeup with clean brushes, mixing plate, spatulas, and opened a new sponge for my session. Ting also took the time to explain her makeup procedures step by step. I felt like not only was she doing makeup for my engagement session, she was also giving me a tutorial on how to put on makeup. Ting mentioned to me that she has tried all sorts of makeup products all around the world, from lower to high end, just to find the perfect balance for each skin type and skin tone. I have very sensitive skin, but I didn’t feel any skin irritation after she applied the makeup. I loved the makeup Ting did, it was light and airy. Not only that, Ting did an amazing job with my hair-​do. She was simply amazing. Very soon after my engagement session with her, I booked Ting for my wedding because I couldn’t imagine anyone else that would do a better job than her.
I took the time to write a long review because I wanted to share my experience with Ting. I definitely recommend Ting for all the beautiful brides out there because Ting definitely exceeded all my expectations and I’m sure she will for all of you, too.
