Tom Fowler Photography is a premier Southern California wedding photographer providing portrait and wedding photography services throughout Southern California but available to travel. It also challenges me to be a better photographer. My speciality are weddings but I also do engagements, maternity, baby, and family portraits.

History

Established in 2007.

I started shooting when I was 18 after a friend of mine asked me to do it. I was instantly hooked on wedding photography. I eventually moved to Los Angeles to gain more experience. I worked for Sam Lim Studios for a year. During that time Sam taught me everything about wedding photography. After work for him I branched out and started my own wedding photography business.

Tom is a super great guy, very easy going and gracious. He was very flexible in scheduling our family photo session and very responsive to our calls and emails. We wanted to shoot in downtown San Luis Obispo and, as a local, Tom was able to quickly guide us toward the type of scenery we were looking for. He delivered our photos promptly and even did some re-​touches for us with a nice quick turnaround.

Tom shot photos of my husband and I this year. I can’t believe how beautiful the shots were and how fast he got our images back to us! I highly recommend him to others to use. He is super creative and has really unique ideas. My favorite shot he got of us was holding hands while jumping into our pool. Thank you for the memories Tom!

I knew when I met Tom that our pictures were going to be amazing. Today I received my photos and I’m looking through them with tears in my eyes because they are so beautiful. Tom is amazing, and you would be lucky to have him as your wedding photographer. He is extremely responsive, professional, and kind. Tom was always quick to respond to any of my questions and concerns and was very punctual and involved on the day of our wedding. I was surprised how much fun and easy it was taking photos with him– and I’m still amazed at the little moments he managed to capture: my husband’s Russian grandmother in with the gaggle of girls fighting to catch my bouquet, my husband and I stealing a kiss in the doorway of our venue, even the crazy Greek dancing. A Greek/​Russian wedding is definitely not conducive to safe, easy photography, but Tom held his own! Looking back over our photos, my husband and I are still in awe of how he managed to capture our day and make us look like models for some bridal magazine. I would highly recommend him to anyone– the man’s got magic in that camera!
Just make sure to snag him quick, before he’s booked up!

We just had our wedding in Santa Cruz, and Tom was AMAZING!
From a product standpoint, Tom’s photos are dazzling. He really knows how to work with the light he is presented with (a harsh direct sun for our ceremony, and the pictures turned out great). The choices of shot angles and perspective were all very unique, and the quality of the images were top-​notch. Honesty, he made us look like movie stars.
As great as the photos are, Tom is even better on the service side. Super professional, personal, and easy going,…he made us relaxed and confident.
We are psyched to have found Tom, and highly recommend his services!!!

Tom is a super talented photographer/​artist. With very little time and set up, I am totally amazed by some of the shots he took of us. Tom managed to take photos that look like they should be in a magazine! They really are that good! My husband and I dont consider ourselves photogenic but somehow Tom made us look like the best versions of ourselves. If you hire him, be sure and let him do his thing because he has great instincts on how you should pose and the location. With Tom, you will be getting photos that are far from standard… highly recommend! Plus, he is professional and a genuine nice guy.

Tom Fowler was a fabulous photographer to work with! My fiancée and I had our engagement photos taken with him, and they turned out even better than how I imagined they would! My boyfriend and I had the privilege of working with Tom in March. This was my first experience having professional couple photos taken and I’m typically super shy when it comes to taking pictures… but Tom was patient with us and gave us awesome suggestions. He definitely has an eye for photography and captured us at all the right moments (one of my many favorites is actually posted in the gallery). By the end of the session, my boyfriend and I were coming up with our own ideas for poses and Tom was able to perfect them with his talent. I was very happy with the photos, and even happier that he had them ready for us by the next day! I look forward to working with him again. :]

Working with Tom was an experience, first of all his photo shoots are a ton of fun he is able to work around your ideas and incorporate them with his amazing skills. Even though you are not «photogenic» he is still able to direct you to create wonderful pictures. He is able to capture the stunning moments that will last for a life time. Tom is very passionate about what he does and you can tell by all of his work. I highly recommend Tom to everyone I know, he is an all around genuine and down to earth person, that knows how to get the job done with great quality.
