I have been working with Typecraft for 5 years now and it has been a great experience. I have tight deadlines and my projects require a lot of attention to detail. My company has grown a lot in 5 years and Typecraft has really helped us do that. David Allen is the best sales rep he is the nicest person and very professional.

Recently had a similar experience to user Mae. My entire class was told to print with typecraft. We all submitted our projects on time and were told that the turn around would be 3 – 5 days. I gave them a couple of days and then began to wonder why I wasn’t receiving any phone calls. I then called my designated sales person who informed me that my proofs would be available tomorrow. Lo and behold they weren’t. I tried calling day after day and finally after two weeks from my drop off date my book was printed, sans proofs. Because typecraft lagged on my print time I had to pay a 50% rush fee to have my book bound in time for my deadline. Had they informed me ahead of time that my prints would be so late I would have figured out an alternative plan of action. The fact of the matter is I was constantly put aside for days and student or not this just not how clients should be treated. My final books had errors and the color was off but since I didn’t get my proofs in a timely manner I wasn’t able to rectify my problems in time for binding. I understand that printing houses get slammed with work but if you’re declaring a date for delivery you should keep to your word and deliver. Due to overpricing and overall lack in customer care I doubt I’ll ever be going back to typecraft in the future and advise students not to waste their time or money as they will probably be treated as second class customers.

I used Typecraft to print my business cards for my new consulting company. I found them online as a local printer and went by to meet them and get a quote. I met with Hanna Wood and she explained to me the difference between lithograph and digital printing. I wanted a quality, professional card to present a favorable image when I hand someone a card. I’ve seen many of those cheap, poorly designed cards before, and that’s just not what I was looking for.
It took me what seemed like forever to finally get my logo and card design finalized (I did those elsewhere), and Hanna was very patient and professional with me throughout the entire process, always answering my many questions and requoting different scenarios.
When I received the final product, I couldn’t be more thrilled! While I paid more than I would have at Staples or one of the online discount printers, I received a quality product and excellent service to go along with it.
I will definitely be going back when it’s time to print my letterhead and envelopes!

all the major projects i’ve done at work has been printed by typecraft and there’s nothing bad i can say about them. the prints always come out nice and the customer service is excellent! they go out of their way to deliver proofs for you and very accomodating when it comes to time.

This company has been in Pasadena for 60 years. Customer service was outstanding!
I needed color memorial service programs by the end of the week.
I had priced out copying services at Staples and for a few extra dollars, Typecraft delivered a clean well crafted program that Staples or other «copy centers» could not come close to approximating.
Typecraft exceeded all my expectations with their quality of paper, layout and incredible color.

I have purposely not stated the price I paid, because I had the layout pretty well planned in advanced and did not require any major changes. If you are planning from scratch, there will be additional charges.

Add an eighth of an inch outside of the document for bleeds. If you want die cuts, you need to include dielines in your file. They can accept Freehand, Illustrator, and InDesign files to print with a digital or short run press. They’ll also print the proof with two different inkjet printers to check color management and placement. To help spot potential problems (folding/​trim issues) they’ll ask for a hard copy of the project.
