Specialties
We’re your friendly, neighborhood yoga studio, with experienced, caring teachers, a jam-packed schedule, a really wide range of yoga styles, big, well equipped classrooms, plenty of free parking and flexible pricing. Free classes for locals too: after you’ve taken your first three classes on the House and enjoyed a month of unlimited yoga for $ 40, we’ve got everything from single drop-in classes to yearly memberships so you can choose whatever works best for you. We also keep our shop well-stocked with lots of mats, props, books and clothes to choose from. We love our fantastically diverse community of students, young and old, beginning to advanced. It’s great to see everyone sitting together in the lobby after class, sipping tea and enjoying the beautiful flowers that welcome every student to Yoga House.
Other things you should know about us: students and seniors get 10% off, we’ve got half-price community classes throughout the week and we give back to the community with free therapeutic classes for people with HIV/AIDS and cancer.
History
Established in 1997.
It may be hard to believe, but when Yoga House first opened back in 1997, there wasn’t a single Hatha Yoga studio in Pasadena. We’re still here in our vintage brick building, but we’ve expanded from one tiny classroom with just eight classes a week to become one of the largest and most respected yoga studios in the entire L.A. area.
Meet the Business Owner
Farzaneh N.
Business Owner
«What’s unusual about our story is that we started Yoga House as just two enthusiastic yoga students — not as teachers — so we set out to put together the kind of studio we would want to go to. Eventually, we did become certified teachers and have been on the schedule ever since. Yoga truly changed our lives and we feel fortunate to have been able to share its benefits with so many others for almost 20 years now. We still invite the best instructors around to teach here and make sure Yoga House still has all the little touches that we think make our studio so inclusive and inviting.» — Farzaneh and Bruce, Co-founders and Co-Owners, Yoga House
