We cannot say enough about He & She Photo. We didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Erin, but Randy was an absolute joy to work with and delivered us some of the most beautiful wedding photos we’ve ever seen… we can’t believe they are from OUR wedding!
Working with him, we felt immediately at ease. He radiated a calmness that allowed us to really feel comfortable and have fun at all moments, even when we were at risk of feeling stressed or overwhelmed on our wedding day. He reassured us and allowed us to stay present, and his steadiness throughout the day is a huge part of the reason we were able to let go so fully and allow ourselves to be swept up into the magic of the day. Not to mention he was just a lot of fun to be around!
The photos themselves are absolutely stunning, there’s no other way to describe them. Each picture is so dynamic and tells such a rich story. Just a perfect capture of the day, the emotion, the experience. The framing, composition, lighting and textures are outrageously beautiful, but more importantly he captured such honest moments and interactions that we will treasure forever. He is very gifted at what he does and we are so honored he lent us his talents for our day. We also can’t believe how throughly he captured the day — such great coverage of every single detail and only one guy doing it! The photos he took of us are truly works of art — but also so personal and so far from generic. Anyone who has the chance to work with him is very lucky. Thank you so much, Randy, for everything. You are an absolute rock star.

This may seem like an overdue testimonial/​review but we purposely wanted to write one on our 1^st anniversary. It has been a year since our wedding but everytime we look through our photos, it never fails to bring back the euphoria we were feeling on our special day. Without a doubt he & she photography did an amazing job and exceeded our expectations with the quality of photos that we have received. We are very grateful and fortunate to have worked with amazing artists.

My husband and I chose He & she photography, out of the many options on the cental coast. We’re so glad we did. We didn’t want to be posed and told to smile at the camera like typical wedding photos. We wanted more of an artistic documentation of our wedding day and that’s exactly what Randy gave us. Not only did he work with our budget but he was so nice and just rolled with all of the unexpected whoops’ during the whole wedding event. My husband and I were both terrified of being front and center the whole day but Randy captured the best moments and we actually looked relaxed and natural. With my new husband being an art director/​graphic designer… aka super artsy fartsy… we had to get the right creative photographer for our November 2013 wedding – not the traditional, generic wedding photographer (whom, many of course are very talented). When we found He & She Photography, we immediately fell in love with their one-​of-​a-​kind work and knew we wanted them to shoot our wedding. From the get-​go, Randy (photographer) was easy-​going and super nice to work with. As illustrated through their photos, He & She Photography captures the very essence of a wedding – the love, the laughter, the tears, and the dance moves. They take photos from interesting angles and perspectives. While the posed portraits and details are really nice, which He & She Photo portrays beautifully, we wanted to see the raw emotions and the true meaning behind all the décor and makeup. He & She Photo fully delivered this for us. Our wedding photos were more than my husband and I could imagine. We can’t recommend He & She Photography enough to those who want to look back and see the story of their wedding with all the various emotions told through beautiful, timeless images.

We hired He & She for our wedding and the photos are just amazing — fun and spontaneous but also artistic and touching. They focus on capturing moments, not just the dress and the cake and the kinds of details that many wedding photographers seem to fixate on. They were also lots of fun to work with, and we’re both people who are a bit awkward with cameras. Take a look at their gallery — their work is really lovely.

We had many choices for our wedding photography, and I am SO happy we chose Randy to join us on our special day. The pictures turned out so great, and we had such a great time! We laughed throughout the whole shoot. After the wedding we received the proofs in less then 6 weeks! Fantastic!

I cannot even begin to convey what an amazing experience it was to work with He & She Photography. Randy GOT us and what we wanted to capture. We had an elopement ceremony at SF City Hall and he made us feel just as special as someone having a big reception. He captured so many of the emotions of the day. I feel like I am reliving the day every time I look at our photos. I also LOVE all of the creative ways he captured moments. I can’t say it enough, BOOK THEM FOR YOUR WEDDING.

Finding the right photographer was one of the hardest parts in all of our wedding preparation. Well, needless to say, when we found He & She, we we’re blown away and our search stopped. Their style was so creative and perfect, we instantly fell in love with them. They are an outstanding creative duo who know exactly what they are doing. They can see imagery in their minds so well and are ingenious with how they shoot your wedding. They covered our wedding incredibly well and didn’t miss one important thing, we really felt like they captured our special day so perfectly. Lastly… they are gems to work with, they gave us great direction and had such a fun, positive and calming demeanor. Absolute pros in the highest regard. Book them now… otherwise, they might already be taken!

Thanks to this husband and wife super duo who brought their very unique touch of fun and artistry to our engagement and wedding experience. Erin and Randy are full of energy and they bring that enthusiasm to every meeting and session. Their artistic style is second to none. When we look back at our photos and album, we don’t just think these were great shots; we think, man that was a great time. Your photos will speak a story to you, a memory of when you and your loved one hung out with that really fun, goofy, artsy couple, walking around just laughing at all the cool stuff there is in the world that you didn’t see before. Sometimes, you might break a trespassing law or too, but it was all for fun. Then you’ll think, I’m glad we got a picture of that moment. And it’ll be a really good picture at that. If you can’t figure it out already, they are super easy to work with too. No cheese ball wedding poses, no pressure and no attitude. We were very fortunate to have found He and She for our big day and you will be too.

Randy and Erin seriously MADE our wedding. They came highly recommended from a couple, and my husband and I could not have been happier. My other friends who have had engagement shots before (from other photographers) told me that their sessions took all day (around 6 hours) and included countless outfit changes. That honestly did not sound fun for me. Randy and Erin shot our e-​session at a beautiful location (their recommendation) in San Juan Capistrano and it took 1.5−2 hours total. They got the perfect shots right before the sun set and they are TRUE professionals because they knew the location and how to place us in the shots to get the best lighting and angles. They don’t mess with distracting props, but really focus on capturing me and my husband’s personalities through laughter and beautiful scenic landscapes. Everything moved so efficiently, but never rushed. My husband and I are not used to photography sessions, but Randy and Erin made us so comfortable and we were laughing the entire session. Our photos were more than what I had ever expected and our wedding photos were even better!
The style of their photography is unique, artistic, and all around beautiful. The coloring in all of our shots came out so well and they were able to capture so many natural and candid moments. Looking through my wedding proofs was like reliving my entire wedding all over again.
They are very responsive to emails, always punctual, and very personable. My husband and I were legitimately sad to see them leave. We hope to see them soon at future weddings!

Erin and Randy are AMAZING! They shot our wedding back in October, and we couldn’t have been happier. They were extremely easy going, easy to work with, and they keep you laughing and comfortable on the big day — a nice, calming bonus! My husband and I really felt like they understood us and they got the perfect shots. When they posted some of our pictures on their blog, I was stunned. It is such a good feeling to see your wedding day captured so beautifully. If you’re into fun and funky wedding photography, to me, there’s only one choice… He & She!

He & She Photography are the absolute best photographers there are. They are truly artists who are kind enough to allow you to be the center of their masterpieces. We were blown away by our engagement photos and we can’t wait to see what they do with our wedding. We could not be happier with our experience with them and plan to use them in the future for family photos.

I haven’t written a Unilocal review in a looooong time, but these two are just so awesome I couldn’t help myself (wishing for a 6 star option). Since we are not using a videographer, the pictures were the one thing we wanted to splurge on. After researching and meeting with several photographers, I knew these two were «the one» after the first 15 minutes of meeting them.
I can’t remember exactly how I stumbled upon them (I think they were featured on Style Me Pretty), but it was their style and perspective that first caught my attention. I didn’t want the typical cheesy posed type of pictures (you know what I’m talking about). Their style is different, artsy, and they incorporate leading lines and cool lighting.
We shot our engagement pics at a nearby park and my cheeks were hurting by the end from smiling and laughing so much. They were also great with our dog Lady (they have an adorable Aussie named Blossom — her and Lady are probably kindred spirits).
So not only are these guys talented, but they’re also are fun, easy-​going, and truly salt-​of-​the-​earth people with great customer service. Our proofs were done right on time (and how cute is their memory stick that your pictures come on)!
I highly recommend He and She! Sooooo happy that we decided to go with them!

My husband and I loved working with Erin & Randy for our engagement pictures and our wedding last year. They were professional, fun, and made us feel comfortable while having some of the most important pictures of our lives taken. The pictures turned out beautiful and we have them hanging all over our house.
The reason we chose Erin and Randy as our photographers was because we wanted photos that we could hang in our house, and we knew would never end up looking dated or cheesy. We are constantly getting compliments from our friends and family when they see our photos.

My husband and I knew we wanted Erin and Randy to take our wedding pictures from the get go. Their pictures are just so fun and at the same time incredibly beautiful and we knew that’s the vibe we wanted for our pictures. Our engagement session was fun and a great way to get used to the wedding day snapshots and our wedding album that we ordered from them is so gorgeous! If you hire these photographers you will not regret it :)
