Description

Specialties

A family-owned and operated winery, focused on the production of unique and exceptional, hand-crafted wines. Our name, Linne Calodo, describes the distinctive limestone soils of the west side of Paso Robles where our vineyards are located. We are proud to be creating unfined and unfiltered wines balanced through the blending of Rhone and Zinfandel varietals.

The Linne Calodo wines are driven by four factors: vineyard location, uncompromising viticultural practices, minimalist winemaking, and the desire to learn from experience. The vineyards are farmed sustainably and the crop loads reflect the natural balance of the vine. We believe in harvesting at the peak of ripeness to produce wines that are rich and concentrated in both flavor and texture. The fruit for these wines come from our estate vineyard and neighboring vineyards, all located on the west side of Paso Robles.

History

Established in 1998.

Linne Calodo’s first vintage was in 1998 and our first facility was open to the public in 2002. In 2009 our new tasting room was unveiled. Currently, we taste wines by appointment.

Trevisan’s official entrée into the wine industry began at the remote Justin Winery under the tutelage of Steve Glosser. While working at Justin, Matt began to develop an appreciation for family owned wineries and grew fond of the burgeoning Paso Robles wine country. After his stint at Justin, he spent the next four years as a forklift operator at the then family-owned Wild Horse Winery of Kenneth Volk.

At Wild Horse, Matt was able to produce his own wines after hours. During that time of long days and hard work, Linne Calodo was cultivated.

Matt T.

Business Owner

Taking a roundabout way into establishing himself in the wine industry, Matt Trevisan began his acclimation to San Luis Obispo County while at Cal Poly studying Biochemistry. There, he roomed with Justin Smith whose father Pebble Smith is the owner of the esteemed James Berry Vineyard. Together Smith and Trevisan shared a growing interest in time-honored winemaking practices.
