Environmental portrait artist Benny Migliorino’s goal is to communicate not only the personalities of his subjects, but their emotions as well, and he has the imagination and ability to capture these elements in dramatic images no matter the nature of the surroundings. In fact, Benny says, «I almost prefer a situation that offers very little to work with. I love to create an image in which I can make an everyday location look like the setting of a big-​budget production.“‘

Benny’s stylish, compelling images have graced the pages of many magazines, including, Revolver, Alternative Press, American Photo, Popular Photography, Rangefinder, Photoshop User, Shutterbug, Nikon World, Field & Stream and Outdoor Life. He is a recipient of the Photographer of the Year award from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and the Grand Award in the portrait category from the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI).

Back in 2013 and 2014 I had Benny do my engagement pics and wedding pics. They came out amazing!!! I would def recommend him to anyone who wants their pictures done by him. He’s a total gentleman and makes it that much better! He even went out of his way to get me my wedding proofs the night of Christmas Eve! Who would even think to do such a thing?! Benny would and did!

Words couldn’t possibly express the creativity and talent that Benny possesses. If you are looking for a cookie cutter ‘posey’ photographer who takes the same pictures as everyone else then keep looking! Benny is all about thinking outside of the box, true originality and fun. My first engagement pictures done by another photographer were a complete disaster and Benny was there to save the day! The engagement pictures he took were truly breath taking and even better than we could’ve hoped for. My fiancé and I were both truly brought to tears when presented with the photographs he took of us. I will never use anyone EVER again and I promise you will not be disappointed if you use this man! He is so extremely talented, genuine, honest, down to earth and worth every single penny. What are you waiting for?! Call him NOW for your photos! You can thank me later! :)

Benny photographed our wedding and engagement pictures! he did an amazing job and was awesome to work with. he was responsive and fast at editing the photos so I could see them — which is every brides main concern usually! Our engagement photos were fabulous in the Meatpacking district — the use of natural light you can tell is a speciality of his. Our Wedding photos were also awesome because they were more editorial than the standard wedding photography which is what I wanted! If we lived in NY or are there again for a photo shoot we would definitely use Benny many many more times!

Benny has photographed my family and daughters numerous times. Each time, I have contacted him with a vision or sometimes a crazy idea, and Benny has been able to bring each and every concept to life. He is a great listener and a true artist.
He is always on board for crazy ideas and he will go the extra mile to «get his shot!»
Benny also likes to think outside of the box. I’ve noticed that in a time when everyone relies heavily on photoshop, Benny still makes sure his lighting and composition are near flawless so that he doesn’t have to use photoshop to deliver you a beautiful picture. If you want a gorgeous sunset, he will capture that naturally at the right time of day instead of adding it after.
Another really great attribute is that Benny is always learning and trying to better his craft and he loves to share his knowledge with others.
I highly recommend Benny for anyone looking for a photographer. He loves what he does and he will prove it by delivering some amazing photography.

Benny took my husband and I’s engagement photos and they came out awesome! We wanted our pictures at a record store and Benny was very accommodating. We were only allowed to shoot while the store was open and we were a little worried that it would be difficult to get good shots. But he worked around it and made sure the pictures didn’t have customers who were shopping and other distractions. He had some really awesome ideas for the shoot, for example he recommend we bring t-​shirts from the concert my husband and I met at which really added that personal touch to our photos. Benny makes you feel really comfortable while he’s taking pictures of you, which was great for me because I don’t handle being in front of the camera well. I would highly recommend Benny to anyone who is looking for a photographer to shoot top quality work.
