Mr.D’s Ultimate Fitness

Over the last five years I’ve had to switch gyms 3 times. Before committing to a new gym, I take serious consideration on the following criteria: does it have the cardio and weight equipment necessary for my training? Is the facility clean and well-​maintained, and is it an atmosphere conducive to all levels of fitness. Cost never factors in to this equation, because I believe you can not put a price on fitness and health. My first gym switch was due to a move, my most recent due to a severe issue with overcrowding and uncleanliness. I decided to try Mr. D’s Ultimate Fitness on a five day trial and was pleasantly surprised. He equipment is state of the art, set up in a non-​threatening way (i.e. Not grouped together based upon skill level), had a sufficient variety of classes, and he clientele seemed there for their fitness goals instead of as a social club. It is actually cleaner, cheaper, and less crowded than my previous gym (a well-​known chain in patchogue) and the only down side I have yet to see (now as a member for over a month) is that it is a very humid atmosphere which sometimes hinders my cardio abilities.

If your serious about a life of fitness and live in the area, i recommend this gym. They offer top of the line equipment, and a large assortment of weights. All the equipment is hammer strength, 2 huge racks of dumbells, Treadmills with tv’s and a great atmosphere. The majority of the people there are there solely to lift. And with the hot summer coming up, they do have the ac on at all times. Everytime i walk into this gym it takes me back to being a clueless 15 year walking into the old Ultimate Fitness medford.

I’m a newbie to Patchogue and I am looking for a new fitness home… MR. D’s WON’T BE IT FOR SURE. They advertise that they are friendly but when I walked in the attendant asked if I was «lost» because I looked lost. Geez lady I couldn’t get one word out my mouth before you assumed that I was lost… They were busy gossiping and didn’t seem to have any interest in signing up a new membership or taking me on a tour. $ 39.95 is a bit excessive for a gym that offers just about as much as Lucille Roberts… ijs. If im joining a gym that wants 39.95 the customer service needs to be on point! Won’t be joining here.

I went to this gym for about two months and it was thirty bucks a month at the time. It had a lot of equipment, so I was okay with the price. Often pretty crowded, though. It soon went to forty dollars a month, and I ultimately decided to leave for planet fitness a town over. Ten bucks, and it has good general fitness equipment. If you’re more of a bodybuilder, this gym is better if you want to spend the money.

I have been a member of Ultimate Fitness Patchogue for a year. I am fully satisfied with my experience and plan to continue my membership. The price is well worth it, equipment is plentiful, and I have never had to wait for a machine. I enjoy working out in the relaxed environment that this gym creates and actually look forward to going there as a way to unwind. Brava!

Before you sign up, look elsewhere. Treadmills are typically not working and are never fixed. Overhead fans dont work either. With the new competition around you would think they would get their act together but they dont.
