So I was reluctant to eat local because I never do. I usually hit the city for good food. I didn’t feel up for the commute so I found this place on Unilocal and even when I got to the door I still wasn’t sure about walking in. Don’t get me wrong the place looked festive but I was worried that I looked too white for the place. There were only two women inside so we walked in. An older lady came to our table and explained the specials in Spanish. Thank God my babe spoke Spanish so she translated. I got the chicken special and she got the steak. I also ordered the hen soup curious about the taste. It was great! The special was fulfilling and was filled with flavor. One of the few times I didn’t request salt or pepper. I was literally in pain when I walked out but as I’m sitting here writing this review we just ordered dinner again from there. Let’s see if take out is as good as dine in. The lady was the sweetest. The food was great and came out quick. They were playing rush hour in Spanish so that was funny and not once did I feel awkward being there. I tipped her nicely because she deserved it. I found my new Peruvian spot! I can’t believe it was only feet away ^_^

I came here a couple days ago for dinner. I was way too hot to cook. The waitress maybe owner was nice and explained dinner special. She tried her best to explain in English but I just nodded and pointed out several items I wanted.(See my upload for reference).I had the vibe that they preferred you ordered from the specials only. This Fish was cooked fresh but the onion sauce was cold. My fish entrée came with chicken soup(my choice). I forgot what the other option was. It could have been a salad. The pasta with green sauce was very rich with parm cheese. I’m not a big fan of all that cheese. I should have ordered the yellow cream sauce. I was hungry I still ate everything. I normally don’t care about décor but for Paterson this place was renovated and painted nicely. I think it’s Cash only. And I’m not sure if this place has a bathroom or not.

I gotta admit for my 1st time going there it was very pleasant. I was refered there by a coworker who recommend it the ‘seafood menu’(menu marino) its basically $ 20(it was on a weekend) and consisted of a seafood appetizer a seafood combo and a free drink… this is affordable knowing that at times bigger and better quality seafood dishes ranges to $ 14 just one dish and the appetizer to $ 10 + drink. Ur basically saving a few dollars and eating a lot. The décor is cute lots of Salsa music playing. The service is very attentive and I was told that they had encountered a fire and a few months ago re-decorated the décor, the sign outside, etc. Oh even now in 2016 they have weekdays and weekend specials for $ 10 :appetizer, entrée and a drink :-)

Top notch low cost Peruvian, great for seafood. Simple but pleasant and clean place with a few tables and a couple TVs. Great seafood combos available, I had the ceviche and seafood chaufa(chaufa is Peruvian Chinese food basically, fried rice with stuff, in this case copious amounts of seafood). wonderful! combo came with chicha morada… even if you just ran an ultramarathon on your way over, I suspect you will be full. server was friendly. almost entirely Spanish speaking customers i think in this heavily Peruvian part of Paterson, but server spoke English well.

Amazing place. 1) The price is affordable. 2) The ambiance is excellent for the area. 3) They have Peruvian and Ecuadorian specialties. 3) I like the Beef Seco, an Ecuadorian dish.
