Got a flat, had AAA tow to the shop. Kyle, lollipop in mouth the entire time he spoke to me (super professional) told me it’d be close to $ 500 to repair, not one, but two tires. Keep in mind I had ONE flat. This is after he «recommended» I replace all four, despite two of the non flat tires being only 6 months old. They also did not have my tires in stock and Kyle had to «call around» because «they’re a bitch to find.» Again with the professionalism.
Meanwhile, 1 mile down the road, Tire Pros not only had my tires in stock but did the work for half the price. They were extremely polite and professional and had me back on the road within 20 minutes.
When I told Auto Care poster boy Kyle where I’d be taking the car instead, he scoffed before sarcastically blurting «good luck.» Thanks, Kyle, the good luck worked. I saved a ton of money not having you work on my car, and I didn’t have to deal with a pompous douchebag any longer than necessary.
If I could give 0 stars I would. 1 star is far too generous.
It’s appropriate Kyle loves lollipops so much because he sucks real hard.

We’ve used Patterson Auto for both uHaul and auto needs and they have been great. Very honest and reliable, they don’t try to up sell and you get great service and knowledge. Nice family-​owned business, the staff is fun and friendly. We will definitely keep going back.

They came recommended by AAA when my car refused to start at a gas station off interstate 5. The car was there as of Sunday and their shop doesn’t open until Tuesday, but that was my choice. When we spoke to Jay on Tuesday he said there wasn’t much wrong with the car however it appeared someone had mixed up the ignition wires but the repairs would cost somewhere around $ 150. I called them again on Friday and was informed that there was a gas leak and that was repaired as well but was not informed about further pricing. Twice after I tried to call Jay and he would leave me on the phone while talking to other people for several minutes and once even hung up without informing me and had to call back. This might all be understandable and acceptable if he at least communicated the issues with me correctly. Instead on the day we went to pick up the car our bill came out to about $ 300.
After leaving the shop my car didn’t make it any further than ONE MILE without breaking down– suddenly there was a transmission problem. Let me be clear,
the mechanic himself inspected the car and reported that there was nothing much wrong with the car other than faulty wires and after 5 days at his shop now my car no longer drives apparently due to a transmission problem that my car DID NOT have. After having to have AAA tow my car they noticed that gasoline is now leaking. We communicated all of these problems with the shop and Jay but he was rude and neither apologetic nor understanding and refused to give any sort of refund/​discount after faulty work. After speaking with AAA they informed us they would not be on their list of recommended mechanics for long.

I lost my serpentine belt on the freeway. Running on only my battery I was able to make it to the shop without my car dying on the way. It’s nice to have a good battery.
The shop was clean and orderly. The guy at the counter was friendly and nice to talk with. He got on the phone quickly to locate the necessary parts. They were able to get the car in the shop within 10 minutes and begin working on it.
The waiting area was clean and had plenty of places to sit down and relax. The bathrooms were clean and well-​kept.
We were in and out in less than 30 minutes.

Less than a year after I had the bumper and front end panel replaced and painted, I had multiple areas of paint chipping off. Not small chips, but large 3−4″ areas all over the bumper. Obviously the person they subcontracted the painting out to did not use primer before painting. While I was happy to have this place work with me to keep the repair affordable, I should have taken the car back, but honestly — I just didn’t want to deal with it. My fault for not giving them the opportunity to make things right. Otherwise, they were easy to work with and got the job done quickly.

I highly recommend this auto repair shop, the service performed on my vehicle was quite reasonably priced, the owner & mechanics were knowledgeable and the work was performer in a timely manner. I perform my own maintenance and repair on my vehicles including performance engine rebuilds, this is the 1^st time I have had work done on a vehicle in 25 yrs. While traveling down I-​5 my dash idiot lights came on at the Patterson exist. I existed the highway parked the vehicle and realized a oil hose failed. After adding oil and duct taping the hose, I limped to this repair shop. Within 15 minutes from arriving, the vehicle was up on the rack. The job required the replacement of a high pressure oil hose mounted near the firewall on a hot engine with poor access to both sides on of the hose. I was back on the road in less than 2 hours. This shop is not located on one of the city’s main arteries and the store front appearance is rough around the edges. If I lived in this community and needed automotive service, this would be my repair shop!

Great people, my Explorer broke down on the freeway late Saturday. Couldn’t get a rental car so they lent me their truck for the weekend. Thought the problem was a fuel pump but tracked it down to a fuel filter. Very reasonable price and fast service.

I recommend going to Patterson Auto care. first of all they helped us out when we had no car and let us use one while they fixed our truck. we eventually made a trade and kept car. we have had a few issues but that’s normal with a car. they have always helped us out. given my husband a ride home so he would not have to wait. thank you Jay

Brought my car here for service. They said it will take couple hours. I came back 6 hours later & they haven’t even looked at my car. Never again!

I try to keep my business in town and support my community, but I will and would not ever return here again. Not only did they scam my smog certificate without ever putting a hand on my trruck, they had the nerve to call asking for a balance due that would not be covered with the cert. After I said find I would pay the balance due but I wanted my smog certificate back seeing the vehicle had been totaled in the process of waiting in two appointments that both times they never got to my vehicle for the smog issue to be repaired. The grandson of the owner said that the certificate was no good to me and I said nor is it to you. He said he would have the owner call back, and that never happen nor did I ever receive a call regarding my 100 something balance after a 500 deposit, they used to diagnose why my Yukon wouldnt pass smog.
Who in the HELL has to pay 600.00 to figure out why your vehicle wont pass somg. RIP OFF SHOP! Not one 1.00 went toward any repair! Beware, because I couldnt make this up if I tried!

came here because a minor piece of my tire came off on the I-​5 freeway on the way to LA. A sketch man came out, looked at the tire, and told me I needed a new one. quoted me $ 300+ for a new tire that wouldn’t arrive until next day. note that during this, a middle aged woman was in the back rudely saying «wow, what an expensive tire! and before tax too?!» turns out I really didn’t need a new tire and they were just lying to get business. don’t come here. you will regret it and your pocket will NOT thank you.

Dont take your car here. I took my car in to them to see what was wrong with it. Waited 15min, the guy came out looked at my car and said I need a new engine. I left my car there for a whole day for them to realy diagnose the problem. Came back the next day and yep, they said i needed a new engine and quoted me a over 4 grand.
This seemed a bit steep so I took it to another shop. Turns out I did not need a new engine and it was only needed a fix that end up costing about 15% of what they quoted me.
So in the end I left my car with them for a day, got charged the full 1 hour labor cost for them to look at my car for less than 5 min. and they still mis-​diagnosed the problem.
Save yourself some money, go someplace else and get your car fixed correctly.

Our vehicle was smoking off the 5 driving back to LA from San Fran. So glad Patterson was honest reliable and reasonable instead of trying to hijack us on the road for unnecessary repairs, we got great fast repair just enough to get us back on the road and home. They didn’t insist on repairing more than was needed, just a patch in just 2 hours. Could have been a lot worse, and didn’t overcharge either. Great shop. Wish they were here in LA!

Can’t recommend this place highly enough. Our Prius hit a big rock on the I-​5 coming home from SF to LA that twisted the exhaust pipe into an intestine; got towed to this place in an industrial corner of Patterson per AAA recommendation. They figured out how to get it right (thanks, Kyle!), and they did it in a matter of a couple of hours, despite the extremely busy day they were having. (Being stranded as we were, we really appreciated this.) They even gave us a lift to and from town for lunch («We do it all the time!»). Old school and family run — grandparents work alongside their grandson and his wife. Courteous, fair, resourceful, knowledgeable. You want to support this kind of business. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore.

My car broke down while I was traveling on the I-​15 and it ended up at this shop. Diagnosed the problem in less than 15 minutes, but were closing shop for the weekend. Were very prompt at answering and returning my phone calls as I was in a different city.
Although they are a bit rough around the edges (have a sense of humor), they gave me print outs and emails as estimates. Total ended up being several hundred dollars LESS than originally estimated. AAA certified shop. You never quite know what you are getting at an auto repair shop, but had a mechanic friend check out the estimates and he said it all seemed straight.
Nice people, I trusted them, and think they did a great job.

Smog check, brake jobs, new starter all service done same-​day, no drama, fair estimates and pricing. Typically skeptical of the quality and integrity of non-​dealer service and have been ripped off by enough of the chain repair shops, but I highly recommend this independent, local outfit for just about any repair your auto may need.

These guys are great. When I had a flat tire, they came right out and fixed it for me (I couldn’t get the bolts off) and had a great attitude about it. I bought 2 new tires and an alignment and was very reasonably priced.
I just moved to Patterson a year ago and I’ll be giving them my business as long as I’m here.
Screw the Big-​O Tires in town, go to Patterson Auto Care, these guys are actually cool.
