History
Established in 2008.
Since its founding Free Geek has recycled computers; distributed them to schools, nonprofits, and people in need; trained veterans, students, and others in refurbishing computers; and introduced the wider public to technology.
An all-volunteer organization, Free Geek’s mission is to:
Address…the digital divide by providing computer training, redistributing computer technology, and providing volunteer opportunities to our community while maintaining relationships with responsible recycling partners.
Or, as we say, they «help the needy get nerdy.»
