I like this GNC. The guy working there is helpful and courteous. He always seems to want me to fid the right thing. I travel from Providence to Pawtucket specifically to go to this GNC because of the people who work there. If you can’t buy your health product online, this is the place to go.

Oh boy… GNC. Usually hubby and I frequent the GNC in Seekonk, but one day I went to this location, right off Newport Avenue in Pawtucket, and raved to hubby about how clean and organized it was. As a result, when he needed to pick up some more vitamins this past Sunday afternoon, I suggested that he head to this location. Big mistake. Huge mistake. He arrived after 4:30 and the store closed at 5pm. He purchased his vitamins and returned home without incident. However, as soon as he came in the door, upon looking at the receipt, he realized that he had been charged $ 15 to renew his GNC Goldcard, which was not set to expire until this coming October. As in October 2012 — over six months in the future. He immediately called the store, squeaking in right before 5pm. He spoke with the same employee who had checked him out(the only one working). Mr. Employee had no explanation as to why he had renewed the card and charged $ 15 without getting permission, and he failed to apologize. All of that was nothing compared to the point at which he called my husband a «f&*#ing d*%k.» That was understandably the end of the conversation. As disappointing as that was, the fact that the store manager was completely unapologetic and that the district manager has failed to call hubby makes the entire situation untenable. We returned the vitamins and received a full refund, plus the $ 15. While the employee, Anthony, who assisted in the return was pleasant, even he could not explain why his co-worker would have charged the $ 15. Really unfortunate experience. Luckily there is another GNC in Seekonk. Once I ensure that they are owned by different franchisees, we will just frequent that location.
