History

Established in 1981.

From farmhouse basement to full-​service print shop…

Pro-​Type started as a one-​woman operation back in 1981. Passionate about the creative process of printing and dedicated to the idea of exceptional customer service, owner Robin Niewold bought a used printing press and set it up in the basement of her family farmhouse.

Driven by a passion for people and printing, she quickly grew the business from her basement, to a shed – to two offices, customers across the Midwest, and nationwide distribution.

Thirty years later, Pro-​Type employs 10 hard-​working staff members and serves businesses all over Central Illinois, with offices in both Paxton and Bloomington. Many of our products are distributed nationwide.

Meet the Manager

Lisa M.

Manager

Lisa started working for Pro-​Type Printing in 1996 as a bookkeeper and to help with retail sales, and later transitioned to customer service. Her experience in so many different facets of the printing business over the last 14 years made Lisa a natural to transition into the position she holds today, General Manager.

Lisa oversees the staff and operations of both the Paxton and Bloomington locations.
