I sat and watched a customer walk up to the counter to let one of the staff know the onions on his sandwich were not done the way they were normally done. I heard him say he just wanted to bring this to their attention but that he was going to eat the sandwich anyway. Instead of saying thank you for bringing this to our attention what i watched unfold could only be described as surreal… There was and older gentleman that felt like he needed to interject that the owner was his son and this was the correct way to do it. This escalated the situation as then the customer felt he needed to press back. Things got very loud for a bit. The customer then goes to eat with family. After about 5 minutes the older gentleman comes out to explain again about the proper way to cook what the customer wanted and then the fireworks started fresh. I can say my sandwich was good. But what happened to the customer being taken care of. Sometimes having to prove you are in the right makes you all wrong.

Awful food, but the people that«work» behind the counter are 1,000 times worse. They’re very rude. The owner is very disrespect towards his employees and customers as well. I guess that’s the reason for the employees’ bad attitude. On the other hand, their chicken parmesan does NOT taste like chicken parmesan should. Difficult to described exactly, but it’s just disgusting. The place represents typical Peabody douchbaggery.

Still awful! Don’t waste your time asking them to toast a sub… You would think it’s a foreign language!

Love this place! Their new burritos and fajitas and rice bowls are incredible! I would definitely recommend giving their new menu options a try because they’re fresh and even better than chipotle… They have literally everything you could want, from wraps to salads and now burritos and rice bowls and some perfectly crispy egg rolls. This place is a crowd pleaser!

Worst eggplant Parmesan, it was just like just greasy flour no eggplant seeds. Sauce was tasty.

They have the best salad dressing here!!! Always get extra, it runs out fast. The Greek Salad and Chicken Kabob Salad are the best.

Service is bad. I was there recently to pickup an order. I arrived and paid for my order just in time to watch my pizza come of the conveyer belt, only to be placed above the oven by someone who i assumed was most likely to be the owner, and ignored while the he proceeded to shoot the breeze with a regular customer, dress down an employee, then disappear. All the while my pizza sat untouched on top of the oven. I assumed the owner knew what he was doing, and it must have been someone else’s. Only after many minutes passed, the poor girl who took my order(who was clearly overwhelmed) put two and two together, apologized, and gave me the order. the pizza was fine. hence the second star.

Giovannis is awesome! I don’t know why anyone complains. I bought a house around the corner a couple of months ago and it’s been a regular spot for dinner. The chicken kebab salad is amazing and their pizza is always a hit. The pasta special(half price) on Monday and Tuesday is awesome. We can order three delicious pasta dishes to feed the family for less money than buying the ingredients and cooking at home. Please note that they are cash only on Sunday(I’m not sure why) but my first time ordering there on a Sunday they let me pay with my card because I clearly didn’t know. The service is fast paced. Please do them a favor and don’t forget your order #! It makes it easier on everyone.

Hi, Yesterday will be rhe last money I spend here. I ordered a sreak tip sald no feta. Drove all the way there and back home with my salad to find it loaded with feta. When I called they refused to credit my card for the price of the salad that they made incorrectly and told me I needed to bring the salad but to get a credit. When I went there I was finally handed back 9:25 the price of the salad. I asked what about the tax I paid for the salad ans I was rudely told I have no idea I did not wait on you and refused to give me anythibg more that the 9:25

Excellent calzones, salads and pizza. I have a preference for my pizza being crispy on the bottom and thin(I grew up spoiled on Regina’s in the north end) This place did as I requested since north shore pizza generally tends to be a bit doughy without enough sauce. People are friendly and like to joke around.

I love Giovanni’s! The subs are really good. I am gluten free for health reasons now so I don’t get to eat here that often anymore; but whenever I have friends over and looking for a good sandwich, this is definitely the go-to place in the area. I get the chicken kabob, and it’s always fresh and delicious.

I love this place! The pizza is uniquely delicious, especially the sauce! Anything I have ever had here has been good; chicken kabob salad, meatballs and the steak tips. Go try this place if you haven’t, service is never slow especially on weekends and game days. The place is clean, the staff is always nice and I will visit again and again.

Ok, the good… the roast beef sandwiches are very good, but you can get the same at Kelly’s roast beef down the street. The bad… I quickly stopped in for a sandwich and immediately noticed a woman waiting for food. I ordered and it quickly became busy. I witnessed the owner chastise an employee for leaving the register. Ok, it was busy. But I waited and waited along with the original woman in the store. When I finally received my sandwiches I pointed out to the owner that the lady next to me had been waiting longer than I. He said«that’s nice, here’s YOUR sandwiches.» I was so shocked! Such HORRIBLE customer services!!! Beware!

My favorite thing here is the steak tip sub. I order the tips well done, so that they are cooked through or you might get them not cooked so well. I got cheese and raw onions. Yum! They have a wide variety of subs, pizza and salads. Great place to order ahead, pick up and bring home. Something for everyone.

Ok so I have been in management for years and all I can hear is a loud gentelman bald with glasses talking loudly to employees, customers don’t want to hear your voice throughout the restaurant– not a quiet place to eat. I asked the girl to wrap half here and half to go and she said when your done well wrap it, NO I asked for it half to go not your way. Its not that difficult. Otherwise the food was great!

Food here is really good. It’s a go to place for my dad and I when we get together for our weekly lunch. One of the best roast beefs around, and pizza is damn near the best as well! Only draw back… the high schoolers that work behind the counter. They show no respect, and would rather text on their phones than to enter in a correct order. They have zero personality when placing a phone order, and my our orders have been wrong on several occasions. I think the owners should speak to these kids and not allow them to use their cells during business hours. Especially when I’m there to pick up my food. and the girls are texting and not personable. The three stars are for the food… would have been 5… but service needs to change.

Terrible just terrible. Came here from Danvers about 15 min away solely based on the reviews. I’m pretty sure all the reviews are friends and family because the food was gross. Practically inedible. We got the chicken kabob salad which is basically a head of iceberg lettuce and chewy chicken tenders cooked from a flat top with mealy tomatoes, pile of shaved carrots and a few rubbery cucumbers. Gross. Next we got a steak Greek salad ordered medium rare. Steak was well as can be burnt and dry as a bone. It was also chewy and tastes like they’ve never cleaned they’re grill. Soooo gross!!! You could barely even cut the steak with a kitchen knife! The cement steak was accompanied by the same gross«veggies» and bitter soggy lettuce. Also we got a steak and cheese sub(aka burnt grease and bread). I think they used maybe one or two slices of cheese and threw on again chewy fatty steak into a grease filled sub roll. I have no idea how this place has good reviews. If poor quality meat, and soggy vegetables over a head of iceberg is your thing then please by all means waste your money on this dump. The only positive thing I can say about this place is that their peta bread is fresh. I’ve had better food at highway gas stations.

Pizza is always a toughie. A wise woman once told me: «Pizza is like sex; even when it’s bad, it’s still pretty good». I’ve found that to be eminently true. As such, when it’s almost impossible for pizza to fail, how do you distinguish when it’s good? Giovanni’s has success because it reminds me a lot of the pizza I ate as a kid. Kinda greasy, crunchy crust, delicious toppings. It all made for a good pizza and a nostalgic dining experience. It is what it is. If you like pizza go to Giovanni’s, cause they have good pizza.
