As I recently moved to Salem finding a new salon to take care of my personal needs was important. I found the Maria Francesco salon while checking salons on line and read all the reviews. I called the salon and Josie was so friendly and so accommodating while making my appointment that I was immediately impressed. I was very pleased that upon entry to the salon everyone was so nice and the salon was so clean and my esthetician Josie was amazing and very professional. I was so impressed I booked several different services for next month. I recommend this salon and you will not be disappointed.

This place is amazing! I came to Josie for my first Brazilian and she was quick, efficient, very painless, and she made me feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend her and the salon to everyone and anyone!

Josie was amazing. This was the fastest, most painless wax I’ve ever had, and we talked the whole time so it wasn’t awkward at all. She’s fantastic… No double dipping and she has a very clean salon. I have no complaints! I can’t wait to go back.

Hair is a HUGE thing to me considering i’ve had my fair share of butchered cuts. But my hair was in great hands the whole time she was working on it! As someone with long naturally curly hair it’s important to find someone that knows how to handle all of it– and she did just that. Although I only went in for a trim & blow-​dry I can’t wait to be back for color & more adventurous stuff! So glad I trusted all the Unilocal reviews below & now I can see what the hype is all about.

Had a wonderful time at the spa. I wanted to splurge and treat myself to a massage, haircut and pedicure. And I am so glad I found these guys. I will be coming back. Great massage and haircut by Susan. Nice little spa, very comfortable and lovely group of ladies I would enjoy just hanging out with. Of course, being the giant klutz I am, as I ran off before my pedicure was dry, I scuffed my big toe and messed it up. I came back and Cinsia took care of that for me for which I was very grateful. A very pleasant experience and I’m glad I found someone on the North Shore I can go to. If you haven’t tried them out, don’t hesitate. You won’t be disappointed.

Had my first Brazilian waxing done here in March by Josie. She made me feel comfortable especially considering it was my very first Brazilian. The waxing was perfect not one hair left. Just set up my next appointment once you have a Brazilian it’s the only way to go!

I have been going to Maria Francesco Salon on a regular basis for bikini and eyebrow waxes. Josie is kind, professional, knowledgable and pleasant to be around. Most importantly she’s lightening fast, and the pain is minimal. I’ve never been one for salon loyalty, and yet I’ve been coming to Maria Francesco’s for over 2 years and I credit to the excellent service provided by Josie.

Booked conveniently online. Received a call to confirm the next day. And was all waxed by 6 pm the next night. Clean and Wonderful place. Waxing was so fast!!! Will go back for sure!!!

I used to religiously go to this salon for Brazilian waxing, but after moving out of the area to Southern, NH, I decided to find a different salon. Well, 6 salons and some serious bad waxing later, I am back where I started! I love the ladies at this salon and the work they do — especially with waxing –it’s unbeatable!!! They’re super friendly and very fairly priced for top quality work! I have learned it is officially worth my drive and everyone else’s, you won’t be sorry.

I absolutely LOVED my facial today. I used a Groupon and feared it would be shorter or less than stellar since it was a reduced price. But to my amazement it was one of the best I have ever had! I really felt taken care of and enjoyed my experience to the fullest.

I do like the deco of the salon. BUT…
I have to agree with Jane. I felt the same way after my appointment. It even seemed that they would rather have you use the GCoupon after the expiration since then you pay for the additional cost. Plus, Ive had manis & pedis done before and not too impresssive and does not care to explain anything to you. Take your time, I seemed rush. It showed uneven nails, bubbles/​streaks even debris in the polish. Its not the customers choice to have you on GCoupon.
I felt out of place everyone had conversations with each other. Josie even walked away to have ongoing conversations or carried on while trying to attend to me. Some coversations shouldnt have even been discussed in the salon. OMG! Nothing like peoples business being so public with their names.

I absolutely loved my facial with Josie I told her it was my first facial ever and she made sure that I was comfy and walked me through the entire process. I got the deal through groupon and bought the facial and mani and pedi. I regret it wish I had only bought the facial. While the girl that did the mani pedi was really nice she just didn’t know what she was doing I’ve never seen a good mani done in 15 minutes… didn’t take out the cuticles did a horrible job painting my nails.
Would definitely recommend to only do facials at this place

I found this place through groupon and lemme just say, thank god for groupon! Josie did my wax and she was very professional and nice. She made sure I was comfortable and kept making sure the wax wasn’t too hot. The wax was different from other salons I’ve been to and it actually was a lot less painful. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone, especially if you usually can’t stand the pain of a Brazilian wax.
I even asked about the keratin treatment and she showed me a shampoo and conditioner that would help my hair (and wasn’t as expensive as a treatment). Give this place a try. The prices are pretty reasonable!

I went here for a facial with Josephine. Not only was this my first time at the salon, but it was also my first facial, ever. Having shared this with Josephine, I would have expected her to be extra attentive, explaining everything she was doing.
However, she did not share what she was doing, and I found myself surprised at the sudden/​jerky raising and lowering of the massage table, and the various things she did to my face. She was also very pushy when trying to promote the products to me. However, when I asked her what made that product so good, she was unable to give me a good answer.
I used a Groupon. I’m not sure if the rudeness was due to the fact that I was paying via Groupon, or if they are just generally lacking in customer relations.
The experience wasn’t all bad– I do think my skin looks and feels better since having the treatment. I will go get another facial, but I’ll definitely try somewhere different.
