History

Established in 1929.

it is a Worcester Lunch Car #650 that was built in 1929. Contrary to popular belief, it was never part of a train. When it was first built it was in the city of Lynn known as Harry’s Diner. It was then moved to downtown Danvers and became known as Cal’s Diner. Then in 1950 it moved to Peabody Square where it still exists today. When it first moved it was Holly’s Diner, then it switched hands a few more times: Kurly’s Diner, The Railroad Diner, The Whistlestop Diner & then ultimately The Little Depot Diner. The Little Depot Diner became established in 2008 by Jim&Judy Miles and were even featured on the well known TV show: Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives in 2009. They sold the business in November 2012 to a newly married couple Ross&Alicia Scanlon who have turned it into a «Breakfast with the Blues music» Diner! The décor is Blues music memorabilia while you hear beautiful blues pumping through their speakers while hanging a fang in their HOMEMADE Hungarian sausage!
