Specialties

Threading is a hair removal technique that uses a cotton thread. The 100% cotton thread is twisted and rolled along the surface of the skin entwining the hairs in the thread, which are then lifted out from the follicle. It is said to be more precise than waxing. Threading of Eyebrows as the name implies, removal and cleanup of unwanted growth of eyebrow hairs. The sensation of threading usually takes 1 – 2 times to get used to, but people say it hurts less than waxing. Many say it doesn’t hurt at all. Eyebrow threading can be used to eliminate a unibrow, raise the arch of the eyebrow, or add shape and definition to the brow. Because it removes hair by the follicle, it is a reasonably long lasting hair removal technique as well.

History

Established in 1993.

The skill of threading is very old. History of threading takes you to origin which is ambiguous, with some claiming that it began in the Middle East, India, or China. Traditionally, threading is used on the entire face, including upper lip, chin, eyebrows, sideburns and cheeks. You can also find certain old paper clips of Chinese amahs threading brows and faces in old Chinatown. Eyebrow threading originates from India and is probably the only way that eyebrows are shaped there. It involves the beautician or whoever is performing the threading to make a loop with a thread and twirl it a couple of times.
