History

Established in 2005.

Roger Kothawala is the RK in RK Technologies. His extensive computer skills, knowledge and experience has enabled him to establish a company that offers state-​of-​the-​art computer business computer solutions that can be tailored to fit the RKT customer’s specific needs.

After earning his Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, Roger joined EMRC (Engineering Mechanics Research Corporation). He worked there for 25 years as the Director of Computer Technology.

Today, with his vast experience in more than 25 computer operation systems and languages, Roger has created RK Technology. Focused on home users, small and medium sized businesses, RKT has more than 50 companies and hundreds of personal computer users who now have their computer systems functioning the way they want it to function. Roger’s vast experience in computer operating systems enables him to lead his team to service any computer-​related hardware or software problem economically and timely.

After getting his master’s degree in computer science from the University of Michigan in 1977, he joined Engineering Mechanics Research Corp. (EMRC).

What began as a small research and development company, EMRC now has 40 offices around the world with over 200 doctorates. It started by developing a structural analysis software package that would help design and analyze any mechanical component for engineering and manufacturing.

Its challenge was to get the same programs to function throughout any computer platform — current or future.

EMRC developed through the age of mainframe, super computers, mini-​computers, engineering workstations and, finally personal computers, exceeding 3 million lines of code.

After 30 years, Roger is versed in more than 25 operating systems and computer languages.
