John Colegrove entered the financial planning profession in the aftermath of September 11^th, 2001. For the entire country, this was a challenging time to say the least. But operating as a financial advisor since 2001, has shaped John Colegrove’s investment advice. Although he matches his investment recommendations to the various risk tolerances of his clients, John Colegrove considers himself a conservative advisor and believes that retiring debt-​free with reasonable retirement income needs is more important than the best-​laid investment plan.

Interestingly, John Colegrove was a professional musician and educator prior to his career in financial planning. And as such, he has a unique ability to listen and teach in manner that facilitates learning and knowledge with his clients.

John Colegrove is a Financial Advisor and Registered Principal through LPL Financial. He holds a doctorate from UNC Greensboro, a Masters from the University of Notre Dame, and a Bachelors from the University of Georgia.
