We have been very happy with the customer service and technicians who helped get rid of our bed bugs! It’s a pretty scary situation having bed bugs. Everyone at Sandwich Isle was very professional. From the start, Rico from customer service was very supportive and told us what to do to prepare our home for treatment. For those reading, it is very important to do your part in preparing your home for bed bug treatment. Make sure the workers can get to where they need to be. We spent hours preparing our home, removing clutter and putting things away in plastic bins. Bed bugs like to hide. I also encourage you to read up on bed bugs. There is a lot of information on the internet. Bed bugs are like little vampires. They often come out at night and they live off of human blood. We have two dogs and they were fine. Okay, enough about those details. But I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to do your part!
Darren was the first technician to do the major work. He was super thorough and did over and above what we expected. He was very professional, friendly, and answered all of our concerns. He was excellent! Christian K. and Elijah followed up in weeks 2 and 3 and were also excellent workers. We did buy the bed bug warranty, and encourage anyone receiving bed bug treatment to do so. It’s easily cheaper than dinner and a movie per month. It truly gives you peace of mind. You must read up on these pesky critters, because you will find out that they can live up to a year! Knowing that information alone, prompted us to get the insurance. We used the warranty service about three months after the last treatment. I had gotten mysterious bites and wanted to make sure it wasn’t bed bugs, so we asked them to come out. Mike came out today and was excellent! He inspected all the rooms, beds, bedding, sofa, kitchen chairs, and even the car. There was no sign of bed bugs, but he went ahead and treated all rooms, the kitchen, sofa (even for fleas with another spray), dining chairs, and car. He was very friendly and professional. Reno at customer service was also very helpful and kept us updated with today’s appointment. 5 Stars to everyone we worked with at Sandwich Isle Pest Solutions.

They deserve zero stars because my home still has bed bugs after 3 treatments. They weren’t professional when showing up with their leaky equipment & even after I informed them that bed bugs were still crawling on my family members, they did nothing. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. What a waste of money, time & energy!!! They’re terrible & have no empathy!!!

Cancelling the service contract. Had about 7 visits from various techs over the course of this contract. Still have a rodent issue in the master bedroom. Meanwhile caught over 25 of them and yes, it’s beyond getting old. For the most part they offer great service, just not able to solve the problem.
I’m sure SITAPC performs better than this, otherwise they wouldn’t be in business. Just not in my situation. Sorry, I wish there was a better ending and rating…

From the home inspection to the completion of the ground termite and pest control services, Sandwich Isle exceeded expectations. James Dumas (inspector) and Sean Peregil (technician) were very professional, informative, and thorough in their explanations and services. I could not be more happy and at ease. Although this is my first time working with a termite/​pest control company (aside from other home inspection quotes), I really don’t see how any other company could be better! Highly recommend.

I am the manager of a storage facility in Kapolei. Stuart Larinus provided our monthly service and did an excellent job! His professionalism and follow up are superb. We have been thru several different service techs and Stuart is hands down the best!

This would be my 4^th year as a customer with Sandwich Isle Pest Control. I had a myna bird nest that needed professional attention since my attempts did not get the job done. I happily paid my money to have the nest area blocked but the birds return every nesting season since. I’ve had Sandwich Isle Pest Control come out every single year to repair or modify their attempt to block the birds and they’ve never charged me for it. This year, I’m advised the netting is too old, I advised I feel I should not have to pay since the netting never worked from the initial installation. Adam says he will consult with his management and call me back. Fast forward 2 weeks. I’ve since called Adam once and the main line twice. I was advised on yesterday’s call, that the manager, Wayne, would call me.
My pest control tech, Elmer, always provides great service and it’s disappointing to me that the back end staff’s customer service is so poor.
You could see in the picture the repair wouldn’t be that difficult. I’m surprised their staff would ignore my calls for this small repair and risk losing my regular pest control business.
The cost of the repair is irrelevant. Sandwich Isle Pest Control wants me to pay again for a service it could never get done right over 4 hatching seasons.

Randy came by and was great when we had rats in the attic, he help me find gaps and holes that we closed up, then he set up bait stations for them. When he returned he checked all the bait stations, and sure enough the rats ate all the bait, so he refilled them and did some additional pest spraying for us. He did a great job with our pests.

Just did our house inside and out for ants and German cockroaches and they did awesome!!! Ask for MIKE!

Had a guy named Elijah MaShau come by our unit from this company. His customer service was very courteous and respectful. With home service companies something that is very important to me is professionalism of the people coming into my home and for me says something about the company behind the employee they send. So far great start.

Awesome service. Very professional in what they do. Like the hi tech way they interact with customers, emails, signing for service, feedback. BUT most importantly, I found the team to be very professional in what they do! Plus the bugs are gone !!!

Mike and Jared came by to treat our small restaurant today. They were both dressed neatly, their manner was police and friendly. Mike gave us a few useful advice on how to keep the drains clean and fresh. The service was fast and efficient. We have monthly treatment contract with this company, and they do in between visits as necessary. You can just trust them to do whatever it takes to keep your place bug free. Strongly recommended!

Hero, Savior, Superhero? Possibly my new best friend?! I need to praise Mike, a Sandwich Isle Pest Solutions KNIGHT who rescued me from a mouse who had been tormenting me for the past week. Mike came in to my home, crawled around on the inside and outside of it, trying to figure out where mice were coming in. He passed along some wonderful advice on how to keep my home safe from creepy crawlers and critters, then sprayed the inside and outside of my house, and set out a variety of mouse traps. We had used a different pest control company in the past, and they always seemed to be in such a rush. The fact that Mike was very knowledgeable, patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and was able to remain empathetic to someone who HATES bugs/​rodents came as such a relief!
Here’s the best part… I work in a customer service oriented job, and I so I can truly appreciate it when someone goes the extra mile to really help a stranger out. Mike told me that if the mouse was caught on a trap, I could give him a call and he would swing by to get rid of it. I couldn’t imagine bothering someone on a Friday evening, however, at 8:00pm when I heard the squealing, I couldn’t handle it. I called Mike, who lucky for me, lived down the street. He came over in 15 minutes and rescued this damsel in distress!
So Mike, I’d like to extend a very heartfelt THANK YOU for all of your help! I recommend going with Sandwich Isle Pest Solutions — ask for Mike if you like (rhyming intentional!). Mahalo!

Elijah is the technician who came to our house. He is very professional and knowledgeable; kind hearted local boy with a great attitude. After reading some of the reviews listed here, I recommend asking for Elijah. Mahalo Elijah.

They are not professional. One star is the lowest I can go. Salesman is very nice, but I dont trust the workers. I have over 20 pictures of the fumigation aftermath. Water bottles thrown all over my yard, cigarette buts, ropes, clips, tape balls, 6 or so sand snakes (tent weights). Even after their quality control guy came and picked up the mess, there was still items on my upper roof. He said this is the worst he ever saw, and he really did seem personally offended by what he saw.
Don’t believe them if they say only one guy comes into the house during fumigation. Someone took a shower inside the house (no one uses the shower and I plug up the drain to keep roaches from coming in that way — it was all wet on the floor and the drain was unplugged when I got back) and they hid a muddy towel in my bin and threw a wash cloth in my back yard. I got some backtalk from their manager about someone reported taking shower in the exterior shower, but I have no exterior shower. They broke a wooden screen, and muddied up my cushion on the interior. They left my garage door open and unsecured after they left with all my tools and equipment exposed (I won’t give dollar amount, but my equipment is not cheap). My water case in the garage supplied some of the water drank (opened). I don’t begrudge water on hot days. I keep cases for job sites, but at least dispose of the bottles properly, not lying in the bushes. I don’t think their workers have any respect for homeowners.
My wife feels personally violated and wants a complete refund. I understand that completely, because it looks like they had a party instead of working. So guys, my recommendation is to take care of your family by avoiding this company.
I contacted them repeatedly, but still have no affirmative answers as to what went on (asked for written explanation and refund). They call me back but they only apologize and do nothing after I rehash what we found and what we ask for. I was told there was some internal discipline, but that is irrelevant to my outcome.
The only good thing they did was pick up the mess they left behind. Nothing but platitudes after that. I wouldn’t be surprised if they put a business reply message here, but I have no inclination to change this review.

This is a long story about my experience with sandwich isle, but the short and sweet of it is, they’re great if you only need a single service, like tenting. They are good at coming out to see you and showing up when they say they will. However, it took them four months, seven or eight treatments, and an exponential increase in ants before I even started seeing positive results with my ant problem. Additionally, I never felt like they had it under control or they really knew what they were doing. They kept trying different things. I don’t know why it was so much trial and error, and that I would be paying for all these experiments. Read on if you want the full story.
We have worked with sandwich isle on several occasions. I had a technician come spray for indoor cockroaches when I lived in a condo. We had our house tented in 2013, and just recently I hired them for an ant problem we’re having.
The first two experiences were great, no complaints except if you hire them for pest control expect to see a different technician each visit. You have to make a special request if you want the same technician each time. I don’t know why they don’t do this anyways for continuity. I’d want the same person so they can follow/​understand the situation.
This last experience was horrible. I had a problem with crazy ants/​spider ants? no one of the many people who’ve come to my house have been able to give me a definite identification. After the first treatment the ants spread from just the kitchen to the bathroom and living room as well. Each time they put out baits and sprayed but the problem just got worse. I found the ants building new colonies under the bathroom mat and in my cd case so I can only wonder where else they were spreading. Every time I called sandwich isle they would say, «just give us a chance, these problems take time to go away» and the cycle would repeat itself.
Three months later they upgraded me to a supervisor, Tino, and by now I was always seeing the same technician (after requesting). Tino said they would refund three months of service and we could start with a clean slate. I was happy with this and ready to give them another shot. The pest problem continued. The next month when the technician showed up I asked him if he had spoken with Tino because the problem had only gotten worse. (This was right after I found all the ants in my cd case.) He said, not recently but there was something about a plant? I had no idea what he was talking about (I had several house plants with ants and wasn’t sure if he was referring to them?) so I refused service not wanting to pay if they couldn’t even tell me what their plan was. Tino got back to me later and said the problem was our neighbors ginger plant. Once I heard that I said ok and they serviced our house.
I just called them today, happy because the problem has finally started to get better now in the fourth month, but my money was never refunded. Tino denied having ever said he’d refund money and accused me of not giving them a chance to solve the problem. That was the last straw for me and I asked them to cancel my service.

Gil has provided monthly pest control at our house for nearly 15 years. We have lived bug and rodent free, have never had a problem with infestation of any kind, and have not seen a centipede in the house, ever. Best of all, a recent termite inspection came in termite free.
Gil is extremely trustworthy and a true professional. He always notifies us the night before service and asks if there are any problem areas. He is very respectful of our property and pays particular attention around the ornamental plants and landscape.
If you want reliable service with a great administrative staff, call Sandwich Isle and ask for Gil.

My neighbors have an illegal structure with two inches of clearance to our property line. When Sandwich tented the structure, damage was done to our garden. I discovered this in the evening and emailed the company and got a response within 30 minutes apologizing for the incident. The next morning the manager Todd came out to inspect and address the issues. He assisted my mother in law with fixing the garden and also provided her with some replacement vegetables from his own garden. After investigating, he told her the steps they were taking internally to prevent repeat occurrences.
Everyone makes mistakes but how they are dealt with is what is important. Sandwich Isle dealt with this professionally and quickly. I will be using them when it comes time to tent our property.
