History
Established in 2014.
Magnolia Roots was started by me and my husband Todd Allen in September of 2014. We have always had a passion for flowers and trees in our family. Our business is located
At my grandaddy Brown’s old 1930’s home place in Pearl, MS. I watched
My dad plant the garden every year there and learn so very much from him. So that’s
Where the Magnolia «Roots is from. We opened at first with plants and the fresh market
Where the locals could stop by for fresh tomatoes, purple hull peas, Smith County
Watermelons, peaches, and peanuts. We introduced my candies at Christmas
Featuring divinity, chocolate fudge, plus an old time classic, Martha Washington Balls.
We are steady adding new speciality foods and look forward to the
2016 new year!

Hi my name is Manda Allen. I’m the Owner of Magnolia Roots!
I’ve always had a passion for gardening and a love for flowers!
I’m a mom and wife who just really has a lot of energy and spends time
Learning new things! I really enjoy making flower arrangements and other things like wreaths and bows. I also have a huge sweet tooth so I’ve spent
Many hours perfecting my candy. I love to make divinity every year
Around Christmas time… Also make chocolate fudge. This year for
Valentines Day I’ll have the chocolate dipped strawberries. Even thouh
I enjoy candy, I also enjoy fresh fruits and veggies. Growing up we were
Some what vegetarians. In that my dad alway chose to fill us up
On raw fresh food from the garden often. Wither it be a tomato sandwich
Or just a bunch of carrots, We were always eating healthy first! That is
Why we decided to offer fresh food as part of the Magnolia Roots
Marketplace. My dad just so happen to be right by us… Going green is good!
