All of our crêpe myrtles (8) was trimmed along with huge tree limps removal that we’ve been putting off for several years. Theyhauled and cleaned every area that they worked on. We absolutely adore this company and was able to get our neighbors in using their services after our referral.

I used thumbtack to request a tree trimming quote from many different companies in the area. Mr. Handy gave me a call shortly after my online request was sent out. He was polite, listened to my needs and project concerns, and was able to meet my timeframe. His estimate was competitive and he was able to get it done same day. Our new home had badly neglected trees and his team (him and 2 other employees) made quick work of clearing out the crowded branches. They removed the downed limbs, raked the remaining debris from my lawn and blew away the leaves from the street and walkways.
We feel confident that these men are knowledgable and skilled; we plan to hire them again! Next project: correcting the drainage in our backyard. We look forward to working with you on future home projects!

Do not use these people if you have home maintenance needed; they definitely do not have the skills to do any work inside the house or the knowledge to do so.
I asked them do fix an electrical outlet, and they went ahead and built a wood box around it, and mounted there. Who in the world would do something like that? That’s definitely a fire hazard, even I know that. After calling to their attention, they asked what I wanted. I just said the electrical outlet should be in the wall just how you have them at home. They wanted me to tell them how to do it. I don’t know how, that’s why I hired them. So they went back to try to fix it, and they installed the plug upside down! Seriously?
Another item was to install the closet doors which have a rail system. They didn’t install the rail properly; I should said at all… before I contacted them, I tried to install, since I couldn’t I decided to call a company that knew what they were doing. Obviously, they didn’t know either, they left the rail like that and cut the doors instead, so now I have an improperly install rail and door that are too short when installed properly. Oh, don’t let me forget that they charged me for a rail that they «supposedly bought» when it’s obvious they used the existing one!
They made and left a mess in the garage! I had to pick up their plates, water bottles, trash, etc…
I would have never paid them if I had seen the work, but since I don’t live there I didn’t see it ahead of time! Oh and don’t worry about payment, they will be so eager to get paid that they will drive where ever you are… Of course, so they can avoid you seen their «poor craftsmanship»! I had to spend more on paying a company that «does know» what there are doing to fix up all the mess they left at the house! I have plenty of pictures to prove the mess they made!

I used 5 Star Construction to trim a couple of oak trees in my front yard and to remove a tall palm tree whose size/​height had overgrown our yard. Mr. Handy responded promptly and professionally.
They did an outstanding job of trimming and cleaning «suckers» from the trees and an expert job of safely removing the 35′-40′ palm tree which was located precariously within feet of my roof, my swimming pool, and my neighbor’s driveway.
I was equally impressed with their professional clean-​up afterwards including removing debris that found its way into the pool in spite of the extra large tarp they used to catch falling fronds and other debris, debris that had gotten onto the roof and raked up and hauled all the rest.
They were courteous and their rates are reasonable. I wouldn’t hesitate to use 5 Star Construction and Tree Service in the future for any of the services that they offer.

We had an A/​C line leak and ruin the ceiling in one bedroom upstairs and down through to the ceiling in the garage. A third party removed the damaged material and dried everything.
These young men came in and fixed the drywall in all the areas affected and installed new baseboards. They cleaned everything nicely, too.
Everything is ready for us to paint and we couldn’t be happier.
