John Henry Properties was formed in 1982. We specialize in residential real estate sales and purchase in the Houston metropolitan area. John Shellington is the broker/​owner with over 40 years in the residential market beginning in 1972 in mortgage banking, owner of Gulf Coast Mortgage Corporation, and continuing since 1982 as broker/​owner of John Henry Properties. The unique background in both mortgage finance and real estate sales brings all the knowledge, experience, and service you expect to your real estate transaction. John received his undergraduate degree in business from Furman University and attended the University of Georgia Graduate School of Real Estate where he developed his professional interest in real estate. Moving to Houston in 1972, he has served as loan officer, branch manager, and vice president of three different mortgage bankers. John is also the previous mortgage broker/​owner of Gulf Coast Mortgage Corporation. He obtained his Real Estate broker license from the Texas Real Estate Commission in 1982 and is broker/​owner of John Henry Properties.
