Texas Happy Dog Walkers

I will never use these pet sitters again, and I do not recommend them for anyone. We went to Paris for Christmas in December of last year. We made arrangements with Texas Happy Dog Walkers to visit our home for one visit on Christmas Eve, two on Christmas Day, and two on the day after Christmas when a family member would be able to come and live in our home/​watch the dogs for us. One of the pet sitters showed up at 4pm on Christmas Eve, before we had even left for the airport, as we were still at home. This means that if we had not been home, our dogs would not have been walked until about 7am the next morning. That is entirely too long for a dog to have to wait. The next morning, we were in London, and I received an emergency phone call from the dog walkers stating that they could not get into our house. They kept insisting that the house was locked from the inside. This was not the case. If we had locked our house from the inside, then we would have had to exit through the garage. I called my mother and asked her to go to the house. She had no trouble getting inside the house, and it was not locked from the inside. They kept accusing me of giving them the wrong key. Apparently they were finally able to get in. The door on that house would stick and bit, and I guess they pushed hard enough to get inside. They completed their scheduled visits. However, my mother said that the house smelled like a sewer, and there were accidents all over the floor. I think we’ll make other arrangements when we go out of town the next time.
