History

Established in 1976.

Same original recipes you remember from your childhood. Originally established on Knoxville Av in Peoria, Illinois. Later served Pekin, East Peoria, and Chillicothe. Our Pekin store remains true to its roots and continues to serve our Legendary Italian Steak n Cheese and Signature Potato Salad along with other fine food. Voted best Restaurant and Pizza 2013 and 2014. Excellent Health Department Rating.

Super friendly owners. The $ 5 pasta + 2 bread sticks was incredibly filling and was such a great deal. The chicken parmigiana sandwich is definitely one of the best in the area too! We all enjoyed our time here and look forward to coming back again!

Support this place. Very nice people making a living, and it is not a corporate chain. The food is prepared in front of you. The sandwiches are top notch. I get the Italian Sausage with pickles, peppers, & cheese every time. EXCELLENT. My wife loves the Italian Beef. One of my sons always gets the wings. My other boy gets the pizza. Something for everybody. Only one table for four people, so most folks carry out.

Love the food, and they have stayed authentic to the original menu. My only problem is the price. 2 subs, 6 inch, and a drink can run you 18 bucks. Subway is a 100 yard away, and it makes it hard to justify that kind of money for a sandwich. Pizzas are still great. Look for coupons on Facebook!

I went there for their wing special, and was very disappointed to find out that they were frozen wings that they just put in the oven. I have had the pizza and it was very good, but I would not recommend their wings. If you can’t do wings right then they shouldn’t be done at all. I think it gives a bad perception about that rest of the food that may or may not be true.

We ordered a Jimbos Jumbos Jumbo 16″ pizza last week, and was very pleased! The pizza was delivered in much less than 30 minutes, the delivery person was genuinely friendly, and the pizza was fantastic! Its about time Pekin has an original pizza!
Update: We recently visited Jimbos Jumbos to order take out food. This was Saturday 12⁄7 around 1pm. The girl behind the counter was friendly and helpful, getting to our order very quickly. Soon after she began cooking, an older female employee came from the back area and began complaining loudly about another employee who was not at work that day. She was loud and verbal, not trying to keep her negative conversation private. It was distasteful, and made me wonder if she complains about customers the same way.

Welcome back! Really missed them when they were closed. Terrific italian steak sandwich (and the combo with sausage is great too) – I always get extra sauce. And the pizza is very good– really like their thin crust (have thick and thin) HIGHLY recommend.. ..
