Allan has been coloring, highlighting and cutting my hair for many years. I have always received many compliments in the color and cuts. He takes great pride in his work. I moved to Tampa a couple of years ago and, even though I tried some recommended stylists here, none do as great of a job as Allan. I now go to South Florida to get my hair done by him, as I know it will always look great! I love his new salon, Hydra. It is beautifully decorated,(by Allan I must say. :-). great location, such friendly people, love the free coffee and drinks, and top of the line products. I have never left the salon disappointed. I would highly recommend Hydra!

Janice completely messed up my hair. I asked for one thing and she just gave me whatever hair style she thought was best and before I knew it all my hair was cut off.
Thank god Allan stepped in and made it so much better and fixed what she did. He def. knew what he was doing and gave me what I wanted.

I was looking for someone to cut my hair because my usual hairstylist was busy. Things really do happen for a reason because Allan did an AMAZING job on my hair and I am beyond happy. I will continue going to Allan for all of my haircuts on the future. In addition to the great haircut, the girl at the front desk was great! Extremely nice and helpful. I highly recommend this salon.

First, the salon itself is beautiful. I had my hair washed, treated, blown out, and trimmed by Helen. The service was great! Complimentary drinks, chips, cookies, soda, etc. However, I have very thick and very curly hair. My stylist wasn’t equipped with the proper tools to straighten my hair. In order to straighten my hair, she coated the hair with A LOT of oil and leave in conditioner. It’s been about 3 days and my hair has little flakes all over… They were kind of pricey… because my previous salon did the same service (with better results) for cheaper. I don’t think I’ll be coming again, I really only tried it because it’s location was convenient. But sorry natural sistas, I don’t think it’s THE place for naturally curly African-​American hair.
