Made out of aircraft aluminium, they make a very attractive and functional accessory for DJI Phantom 2 and or the Blade 350 QX.

History

Established in 2014.

Universal Camera Bracket Co. was founded out of the necessity to use the many different types of action cameras on UAV’s. Sony, JVC, iON, Contour, Polaroid to name a few.

The cost of a quadcopter is a big expense, and we wanted to provide a way to use other cameras on board. All of the accessory brackets we found are made for the square, or top mounted cameras. The other option was to purchase an expensive gimbal system, and then upgrade the quadcopter to use their mount.

We chose non ferrous aircraft aluminum for many reasons; strength, light weight, low cost, and looks very cool when polished. We also added neoprene vibration dampers to reduce the Jello effect.

Steve is a cinematographer that is fascinated with the recent popularity of consumer quad copters.

He was unable to find a bracket or camera mount for the more popular quad copters that would allow other than GoPro camera’s to be used. After trying different designs and materials, he found the best design for the application is the current bracket.
