Specialties

We are a family owned wood fired pizzeria that cares about the quality of our food and the happiness of our customers. Part of the charm of our restaurant is the mix of a family friendly atmosphere and a sports bar. Rick’s décor is definitely Clemson Tiger focused, but there are always a variety of sports on multiple TVs at any given time.

Our specialty is delicious wood fired pizza! Customers also enjoy our wings, burgers, hot sandwiches and fresh salads. Everyone has a different favorite!

History

Established in 2013.

Rick started a construction company back in 1990. As he approached his 20th anniversary, he decided he wanted to start another business that would be something fun he could do for his «retirement» job. He loves to cook, and so he decided to go to New York to learn to make Pizza. He would then have Pizza parties every Sunday through the Brutal Pocono Mountain winters and invite family and friends. One day Rick decided it was time to open a pizzeria and asked the family do we want to open it in the Poconos where the winters are painfully long, or do we want to open in God’s Country? The Family took a vote… and here we are!

Having Dinner in the Vault at Rick’s Pizza (like Buca do Beppo Kitchen Table). Thin wood fire pizzas. OMG this is some of the best pIzza I’ve ever had outside little Italy in New York.

If you like a pizza that is made from scratch, baked in a fire, and friendly attentive service, here you go.
We started with the fresh mozzarella and tomato appetizer with balsamic glaze. Awesome. Then the supreme pizza. Very good. You also get a show– watching the cook make your pizza behind the bar. Good beer selection also. Burgers and sandwiches on the menu too.

It was our first but for sure not our last time!
We had a Yungeling (Cheese) Dip as appetizer, a real must have, it was to absolutely delicious, and the Pizza we had was yummy!!! We think it is the best pizza we had so far here in this are!

We have been craving a good pie in South Carolina, and we found it. We have been spoiled with great pizza in New Haven and this is in the same ballpark. Great crispy crust, sauce and ingredients. It will be a staple in our restaurant rotation.

I’ve eaten here before and it’s REALLY good!!! Last time I was there I ordered cheese pizza and mushroom cheese pizza and when I got home, the pizza was still hot!!!

A co-​worker recommended. I am glad I did. The taste experience was I had experienced once prior to the Pittsburgh area before. The New York style of taste, ingredients and that special textured oven baked crust. You can tell these pies are different from your local chain want-​a-​be pizza pies. the ingredients are fresh and the crust has that distinct stone pizza oven texture and slight crunchy texture and taste. the fresh ingredients taste just explodes of being different while in your mouth. The best thing that has come to the south to accompany southern weather.

Delicious food & very fast! We stayed at Clemson’s Outdoor Lab and couldn’t find anywhere to get food after game without waiting forever and this was perfect. When I picked up food I could quickly tell this was a nice locally owned restaurant.

We stopped in hungry after the football game and Ricks hit the spot. We had a family size salad that was too big for 3 and the Clemson pizza. They had a good beer and wine menu. Hubby was happy to watch the game day highlights on the tvs. Brick oven pizza is always good! Recommend this spot:)

I absolutely love Ricks. Pizza is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. Everything is made by hand the right way, and comes to the table hot and delicious. Be aware though since it’s done right expect to wait for your pizza to cook.

I am always skeptical of new places and constantly asking questions of the wait staff about what their best meals are but this time the staff made great suggestions and really made sure that it came through for us. Also Rick seems to have taken a personal interest in making sure the customers know that he’s there for them. You want pizza from a classy place with different flavors, like the Clemson pizza, and you want someone who will listen to your feedback then try Rick’s, he’ll personally thank you.

Rick’s pizza is an excellent addition to the Pendleton area. The food is quality made and has never disappointed. The servers at this establishment are always wonderful and friendly. The yuengling dip with pretzel braids is a must try appetizer. If you can’t decide in a pizza, try the dilella!

If you like a thin crust NY style pizza then do yourself a favor and try the Brooklyn pizza from Rick’s. It was the best we’ve had in a long time. It’s in the Bi Lo’s plaza in Pendleton. They have a drive up window to make pickup easy.
