From the first time we met Chris out at Taber Ranch, we wanted him to be our wedding photographer. We didn’t even really interview any other options since his pricing and service were so appealing. He doesn’t really do weddings without an engagement session and we took him on an adventure in Tahoe looking for snow to backdrop our photos. Due to the mild winter we had this year, we trekked quite a bit, but he was a great sport through it all.
Thanks to Chris and the team at Taber, our wedding day went off without a hitch. He was very mindful of timing and keeping to a schedule so that he could make sure he got photos of all the events during the day that we wanted. We did have to tell him that we wanted to enjoy the food we paid for (I don’t like to rush through good food) and we also wanted to be present at our reception for our guests as much as possible. We did not do first look photos, so his time after the wedding was rather limited to get pictures done, but what he did end up with turned out great.
The only reason that Chris is not getting 5 stars in this review is due to some followup after some issues he had with his website. He was able to get things back up and running, but it wasn’t until 2 weeks before the wedding that we were hammering out a schedule that would fit him around the party and catering. This was because neither of us had realized we hadn’t heard from each other in a few months. Good follow-​up was something I definitely learned is necessary in planning a wedding, and I would say no matter who your photographer is or any vendor for that matter — maintain good and consistent communication. If you haven’t heard from someone in a while, there might be a reason.
Overall, very satisfied with the service provided by Chris. He is a fantastic artist and really tries to put his subject (s) in the best light possible. I couldn’t be happier with the end result.

Chris was a true professional from the very first moment we met him at a wedding fair. He answered our questions thoroughly and honestly and made sure we were the right fit for each other. He spent almost an entire day with us during our engagement session and worked tirelessly so that he got the shots he wanted. Neither my husband or I are comfortable in front of the camera but he made the session fun and engaging with his warm and easygoing attitude. He really took the time to get to know us and what we liked. We were thrilled with how both our engagement and wedding pictures turned out. We were absolutely amazed by how he was able to capture moments and details throughout our big day that we’ll be able to remember forever thanks to him. Chris is a truly talented photographer and great guy all around. Months after our wedding he even went out of his way to send us a copy of a bridal magazine that our wedding picture was in. We were really touched by his thoughtfulness and would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat. Thank you, Chris!

My wife and I met Chris about a year and a half ago when he was the photographer at a family members wedding. About 6 months later, I proposed to my (now) wife and we both knew we wanted Chris to photograph our engagement shoot. We went out to his Uncles Ranch (Taber Ranch) and he completely surprised us with awesome props like a cherry red Cadillac, wine, candles, burlap, chalk boards with messages, a handmade wood sign, and a matching red umbrella. He is so professional and fun to take pictures with. He doesn’t mind rolling around in the dirt if it means he’s capturing the best photo. We spent nearly all day there, and the pictures were beyond our imagination. We didn’t even hesitate to book him for our Wedding (09÷08÷13). Chris captured every single detail of our wedding, and stayed so much longer than most other photographers would. He even surprised us with sparklers at the end of the night. His ideas are amazing and it seems like he spends so much extra time to plan for each couple. He is great with communication and will update you about every change he makes along the way. He even sends you surprise gifts! What other photographer does that!?! My wife and I can’t wait to continue our personal and professional relationship with Chris when it’s time for our next photo opportunity.
