We brew beer in the styles of the United Kingdom: England, N. Ireland, Scotland and Wales. LyonSmith Brewing Company is a cultural journey in the heart of the Finger Lakes! We are behind and underneath the Water Street Wine and Spirits store.

History

Established in 2013.

We were established in 2013 and opened Memorial Day Weekend of 2015. We were founded on the basic premise that we wanted «to make beer worth drinking, a Company worth working for, and a Community worth living in». This is more than just our motto, it’s our way of life!

Cannot say enough good things about this little brewery! Found it on Unilocal,the bartender, Axel, was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us great tips on all the places to go and all the things to drink in the area! All of the beers are fantastic, and it eight dollars a tasting, what a bargain! Sitting outside and looking across the lock and drinking another pint of their beer right now. What a day!

We had a fantastic time at LyonSmith! During our wine tour, we decided that we wanted to try something different. We stumbled upon this family owner brewery and couldn’t have been happier. We did the tasting for $ 8 per person, including 10 different beers and you keep the glass. Great deal and awesome beer!

After touring a few wineries we came across Sarah and her husbands terrific brewery. She was so personable throughout our visit from discussing how they started the brewery to how they support the local communities through the art hanging and so much more.
We all did the tasting and highly recommend it. It is a good size pour of each beer and you are able to keep your glass.
The brewery itself has so many little details. The map of where everyone is from was my favorite.
Great vibe! Looking forward to returning again — and ordering a case when bottling begins!

We just returned home from a trip to the Finger Lakes. It goes without saying that over the past few days we visited multiple breweries and wineries but Lyonsmith Brewing Company was the only one we went to twice, they are well worth the extra visit. The atmosphere in the brewery was awesome! The owners are really outgoing and talkative and they make you feel welcomed as soon as you arrive; the moment you walk in to the tasting room you know you are in a friendly place. They love what they do and it shows! Their beers are great, they’re balanced exactly like they should be. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a pint or two, you won’t be disappointed!

Great spot. Kind of hidden from the road. But once you find the tasting room the owners make you feel like long time friends. All the beers come with great stories that really amplify the tasting experience. All English style beers as well. So make sure you are ready for that. Good beer and different from the norm.
Tip: enjoyed the pale ale… Took a growler home with me. Try it.
