Rapid Rover

I used rapid rover for years and the past 3 times i have had nothing but troubles. between being picked up late, and almost missing our flight the past 2 times, to discussing with the dispatcher that we were picked up, driven half an hour north — the opposite direction to pick up more people (when we live right by the airport) and the driver having no clue where he was going. They used to be great, but we gave them 3 more tries and all 3 were a mess.

Great ride to and from Phila. airport. Both drivers were very nice and drove well. I will be using them again next time I am in the Phila. area.

This is a good service to get TO the airport but it is HORRIBLE for getting you back home in a timely manner. Plan to wait AT LEAST 30 minutes before a shuttle is available to pick you up. I get why, but just don’t think the shuttle will come when you’re ready for it. It’s a multi person, multi stop bus service. For the price vs time maybe the cab is a better choice.

Do not use if you are military. They jack the prices up on us because they figure its on the governments dime. Any other form of transportation is cheaper! Absolutely absurd!

Rapid Rover was my grandparent’s airport ride of choice. They’ve been around since I was a kid and after traveling around the country and using other shared ride services, they’re hands-​down the best I’ve ever experienced. Always on time, drivers are nice, down-​to-​earth people and it’s a very comfortable ride.

Something has changed with Rapid Rover’s level of service and not for the better. I made my round trip reservation for private car service to and from the airport a week in advance of my vacation. In the past I have done this exactly the same way and have never had to wait more than 20 minutes for my car to arrive at the airport to take me home.
This time I was told it would be a 1 hour wait until my ride would arrive. This is unacceptable when an advance reservation is made and when the company specifically asks you for your flight information so that they know exactly when your flight is due in. I’ve never had anything but positive experiences with Rapid Rover in the past so this really came as a shock to me. Not sure I will use them again if they can’t honor reservations made in advance.

Terrible service. I mad my reservations 2 weeks in advance, was quoted a price after explaining I was in a large group who were leaving the country for a time. There were to be 5 – 10 of us. We met in baggage as per directions, called, explained that we needed 2 vans due to the amount of luggage we each had. Was told we’d have a 45 minute wait, even though I had said we’d need a 5 o’clock pickup. My number was taken so she could call me just before the vans arrived. No call. 80 min later I called. The van was stuck on a bridge due to a car fire so was told another 20 min. I asked about the second van but the person had disconnected. After a 2 hour wait ONE van showed up. The driver said it was a 10 passenger van. I said get the second van because with 2 suitcases and 2 carryons each we were not fitting. And we didn’t! Another 1t minutes and the rest of us finally got picked up. Our time is important to us, too. I strongly suggest a taxi and pay more. RapidRover also tried to charge us more than twice the 2 original quotes. Terrible.

On 4−6−15 we were picked up in Atlantic City right on time around 3 AM to be transported to Philly airport. The driver was very courteous & professional. He was a good driver & got to the airport in no time with no hassles, everything went smooth.
When we got back from our vaca to the Philly airport, my fiancé forgot to call Rapid Rover office about our arrival time. Upon calling the office, they told me they were very busy & would get to us as soon as possible. It was only a 30 min. wait which was very good being that we forgot to tell them about our arrival day & time.
The desk in the airport gave us a beeper device which was cool & before you know it our transport arrived. The driver was very nice & a very good driver. Since we shared the ride with a group of people we weren’t with, we were given a very good discount.
The price was terrific. Didn’t have to worry about traffic, tolls, bumpy roads & etc. Just lay back, relax & enjoy the sights. Very good ride home.
We highly recommend Rapid Rover for all your transport needs. We will surely use them all the time. Thanks Rapid Rover for making our trip very enjoyable.

The driver was right on time for our large group from PHL to Atlantic City and back. Very friendly and helpful — not to mention affordable. We will definitely use them again.

I’ve taken thi service several times over the last three years. I’ve never had an issue with pick-​up times or with the drivers. I’ve always found their employees to be very professional and just generally good people. I’m with a new company now that requires me to fly more often and I’m happy to have a safe and reliable way to get to the airport without the stress of driving myself. They have a client for life (or as long as Iive in SouthJersey anyway).

These folks have been around for decades. I remember taking my dad in the wee hours to their station wagon in the 80s/​90s (nobody came to the tiny town where we lived). They are still the only reasonably priced option in S. Jersey for airport runs. They’ve moved into the 21^st century since my dad used them, with comfortable vans and credit card options. And the dispatchers know the area well, which is good since my mom’s house can be tricky to find. As the only game in town, they could easily be awful & still have customers. But I’ve found Rapid Rover to offer reliable, on-​time service.

Good, honest service with reasonable prices. Kindly tip the friendly and courteous drivers!

I had a very early flight on January 11 and the Rapid Rover shuttle picked me up at 4 a.m. It was dark, I was tired and when we arrived at the airport, I inadvertently left my carry-​on bag in the shuttle! There were a number of necessary items in this bag that I needed for the trip. I knew the driver had other passengers to drop off so I called Rapid Rover’s office. Before I could even explain the reason for my call, I saw the driver (Rick) walking up to me – with my carry-​on bag in his hand! He had seen the bag when he dropped off the other passengers and immediately returned to find me. This type of service is priceless! Thanks again to Rick and Rapid Rover for a smooth ride to/​from Philadelphia Airport.

I recently had to use this service again and due to weather conditions, I had to book, cancel and rebook transportation with these guys a few times. The driver was very nice and not too talkative or intrusive — sometimes they think if they chat your ear off that they’ll earn a bigger tip.
I will note that not once in any of my conversations when calling their office did they ever mention the cost of the trip. They just assumed I knew this. May I suggest that they do something like this: «Okay, your confirmation # is your telephone number. The cost will be $ xx and if you’ve got a AAA, you’ll save $ 5. We prefer cash, but we also accept xxx, xxx and xxx credit cards.» That would seem very professional and much appreciated by clients.

These guys ROCK! I called 4 other dooshbag shuttle companies looking for a ride from atlantic city to philly and I’m so glad I finally got to rapid rover. Everyone else wanted to charge me a crazy amount of money for a shuttle, Rapid rover was friendly and found a way to group me with other passengers to save us all money. They were on time and the driver was very professional. If you need a ride, don’t waste time and call these guys first!

I was hesitant to try Rapid Rover but glad I did. Rapid Rover is easy, professional, and always on time. I’ve used them 3 – 4 times in the past year and will be using them again tomorrow!

We’ve used Rapid Rover at least 4 – 5 times and every time has been a good experience, even in times when I thought it would be a long wait at the airport (they showed up faster than promised) and in situations when I thought their way to the airport by avoiding traffic would add time not reduce it (it ended up being much faster than I thought). And, their vehicles are late model, clean and tidy, the drivers are friendly. Finally, the pricing is very good and competitive with other shuttle services.

Have taken this service twice, once in 2012 and once in 2013. Van picked us up on time on both occasions (they gave us a 15-​minute pick-​up window, for example, pick up at residence between 2:00 pm and 2:15 pm) and got us to Philiadelphia airport well before our flight departure times, as promised. Both times they told me they would get us to the airport 90 minutes before departure time. Once they got us there about 90 minutes ahead, once they got us there about 120 minutes ahead. Second time we used them, driver was too talkative. He was funny at first, but then it wore me down.

If you’re going from Philly International Airport or 30^th Street Station to NJ, this is the transportation company to call. They are as efficient as it gets and I’ve never had a driver who has been anything but courteous. The price isn’t too bad when compared to a taxi and way better than a limo.
