Casino Beach Bar & Grille

We went here several time during our weeks stay. The cheesy grits are fabulous, as are the fish and pulled pork taco. The only negative, the beer menu is in teeny tiny print.

Get the blackened fish tacos (lightly blackened) for those that still like a little Cajun taste. The fresh avocado and pineapple makes there’s one of the freshest tacos on the beach. I docked one start just because you only get 2 tacos. Most of the other places give you 3 for around the same money.

We popped in here for a night cap. Really cool bar. It is right on the beach and the view is awesome. The bartenders were attentive and the beer was cold. Hopefully next time we will order food so I can update my review.

Great location right on the beach. A large bar area with many TVs to watch whatever game you want. Love the open air setup.
The staff here is well trained, very attentive, and as friendly as everyone else out here on Pensacola Beach.
I ordered a Pain Killer, one of their signature drinks, which tasted sort of like a Pina Colada with an orange flavor to it. Had a good kick to it. To eat, I had the a bowl of the gumbo which was amazing, considering we’re in Pensacola and not Louisiana. I’ll be back many times to re-​order this dish.
Come check this place out, you’ll be glad you did.

Great spot for people watching. The service is what you would expect from a beach restaurant, yet we had a great time and great waitress. Sit outside for an even better view, they have huge outdoor misters to keep you cool.

The Casino burger is cooked to order and is pretty good. The music is a bit loud for decent conversation. Yet, outdoor seating is nice and you’re right on the sands of Pensacola Beach. Overall it is worth going, I’m just a tough grader and there wasn’t anything too special about this place to set it apart.

Food was absolutely amazing and their bushwackers are the BEST on the beach! Make sure to get a floater on top. I would also highly recommend the ahi tuna nachos and their wings. Chef Bourke knows how to take care of his customers and put out some serious food.

I decided to try something different, since I ALWAYS get the shrimp tacos. They are delish, but I had eaten so much seafood that I tried a burger. OMG, best burger on the beach. I got their Casino Burger with cheese jalapeño bun with avocado mayo. Yum! Hubby had the gumbo he loved it. This has become our go to place for lunch! The staff is attentive, friendly and prompt getting your order out.

The Casino burger and sweet potato fries are awesome. Other menu items are great but this is my go to lunch and dinner. Breakfast is awesome too but they end it early. They say 10:30 but the truly stop at 10.

5 stars! The place to eat, drink, and be seen on the beach!
Off the bat, you are beachside! With the stark white décor, open air bar & dining, and beachside lounging you kind of feel like your at a trendy South Beach bar. So grab a drink at the open air bar and check out the scene below or take your drink down beachside and prop yourself up on one of the mini lifeguard chairs in their lounge area.
This spot is the trendiest on the beach and the drink prices make that apparent. While still very reasonable, when you know there are $ 2 drafts and $ 4 wells just steps away at other establishments, the higher drink price tag is obvious. You are paying for the scene and to be seen!
Foodwise they have a great menu mix of standard bar food as well as more elevated options. My favorite is the fish tacos because the portion is great and the fish is always fresh. I particularly love the citrusy asian slaw topping. You also get a side and the sweet potato fries are to die for! Overall, their food presentations are more on the level of a restaurant than a bar, which is why people flock to eat and drink here.
Depending on the day they have live music or a DJ playing. Can get very loud, but that’s the vibe people are looking for when they come here. They also have happy hour deals during the week, clearly not the best on the beach, but again its all about the scene.
Plenty of seating throughout, but this place is one of (if not the most) popular spot on the beach for a reason, so it can become a packed house. Huge parking lot, but its free parking for the beach and the other restaurants on the beach, so parking can be a pain depending on the day/​night.
Pensacola Beach is a hot bed of activity across the board. but this is the place you want to be!

Casino Beach Bar is a great place to chill out for the following reasons:
1) Great location right on the beach and literally connected to a pier that you can walk/​fish on (there are some small fees)
2) Tasty cocktails/​drinks (their bushwhacker is one of my favorites)
3) Delicious food (you must get the Ahi Tuna Nachos)
I didn’t like the Crispy Wings – they were nothing special and the jalapeño ranch actually tasted weird. the Casino Nuggets also were sort of bland – just some battered/​fried fish with tartar sauce. In other words, I didn’t think these 2 items were unique or good enough to recommend to people.
More importantly, regarding service, I really want to give this place 3 stars but I decided to give 4 instead. This is because the bartender who was in my area basically was ignoring us and other people. Another person behind the bar had to tell her that some people were trying to get her attention. She clearly did not enjoy her job or maybe something is happening in the personal life. Albeit, it’s a customer service job so her pervasive mood was affecting everyone around here. I wish I could describe her so you can avoid her but hopefully your luck is different. I decided with 4 stars because there was another person who seemed like a floater or manager who actually came through and helped me out. So, I can’t say that the service here is consistently excellent, because it’s not. Beware.

We arrived here around 7 on a Wednesday evening. Before heading inside, we opted to forego outside dining due to the wind. As I approached the hostess stand, I felt that my family and I were being scanned. (I’m not sure why, as we were all dressed nicely, we smelled pretty good, and we’re a decent-​looking bunch.) When asked how many, I replied «3 and a high chair.» The woman turned to the other two girls, and after some quiet chattering, a different hostess explained that they had a high chair, but that my daughter would not be at the same level as us. I asked what she meant, and she explained that they only had high tables. I said that it wasn’t okay, and we left.
The restaurant and its menu appear very nice. I would have liked to have dined here, but they are apparently not kid-​friendly. Once I realized they were not accommodating to families with small children, I assumed that the reason for us being «scanned» at the door was because of our children.
According to the Unilocal information, this place is good for kids. I confirmed this before entering the restaurant due to the fact that the name of the restaurant includes the word «bar.» Unfortunately, it just isn’t so.
Heads up to families with high chair-​aged little ones… if you want your children to reach the table and you’re not sitting outdoors, skip this spot.

Great food on Friday date night. Started with a flat bread app, the Caprese was excellent. We split the Cuban and grilled fish sandwich both of these were large portions along with our sides, sweet tater fries and plantain chips. Again food was excellent.
The drink special for Friday was wine and bourbon $ 4. I ordered a Jack on the rocks, the only special bourbon offered. I was a bit surprised that it appeared on my bill at $ 4.50. When I questioned I was told in the rocks $ 0.50 more. Lame excuse and resulted in 4 not 5 stars. I know that’s petty but why call it a $ 4 drink special when it’s not $ 4.
I’ll be back for more good food!

Can’t believe we are coming here for first time. Best Pensacola beach restaurant setting ever! The service is slow but the view is awesome. Nice to be outdoors. Burgers were good but again they could not get the orders correct.

I was so thrilled to see they put a new bar on the beach! It has a large patio area, on the sand with some beach chairs and tables. The inside bar is a full 360 and seats a good amount of people. They have big flat screens to watch sports on and the menu isn’t bad at all!
I sat at the bar here for about an hour, sipped on some margaritas. Then a football game came on and the place was packed! Nice, wide open restaurant with direct views of the ocean and fishing pier. I can’t wait to grab drinks and food here next visit. There have always been the same 3 restaurants we frequent, Crabs, Peg Leg Pete’s and Flouders. They are all very similar in terms of style and concept, so I love that this one is more modern and up to date.

My Daughter surprised me with a sunset-​viewing trip to this very nice new-​to-​me place.
The setting, décor, wait staff, views, & food were all well above my expectations.
Beaucoup free parking in large lot. Very nice indoors bar, indoor restaurant, large well-​furnished open-​air beach patios with wait service.
Open on Mondays, too.

This place has come a long way since my first review. Great service from Joey, wonderful appetizers… the island chicken skewers were amazing, loved the casino nuggets with tarragon tartar sauce as well. We had the fish tacos and the Caribbean bbq chicken sandwich, our sides we picked were sweet potato fries .YUM!!! Drinks were strong and delicious and of course the views of Pensacola beach are priceless. All new staff. Probably the best spot on the beach to eat at now.
Note to tourists: There isn’t a casino here, its named after the particular part of the beach in 1931 where there was a rec center:-)

I loved this spot! After coming to Pensacola with a friend for a spur-​of-​the-​moment beach getaway, we were looking for a spot close to where we were staying. This place popped up as being right across the street, so we headed over. The super friendly hostess gave us the perfect table, outside on the deck under the shade of the palm trees, with a beautiful view of the Gulf.
Colman was our server, and he was really friendly and awesome with recommendations. He definitely helped make the whole experience a pleasure.
For food, we started with the ahi tuna nachos. When I think nachos, I’m thinking melted cheese, so these were almost more like tuna tostadas. They were awesome nonetheless; nice pieces of avocado with a generous amount of tuna on each one, topped with fish egg and drizzled with a spicy sauce. It was also plated beautifully, both of us really enjoyed it.
For entrees, we ordered the blackened fish and blackened shrimp taco, so we each got to try one of each. They were both good, but the blackened fish was the clear winner-​I LOVED the salsa they put on it. The tacos were a good size and the blackening seasoning they use is full of flavor. The sweet potato fries were the best I’ve had, anywhere. The regular fries were very good as well.
So many restaurants in beach/​tourist areas are disappointing. Casino Beach Bar definitely bucks that trend.
One downside: there isn’t actually a casino here.

You can’t beat the view!
OK, the truth is you choose this place for the view. The food is good and the servers friendly for the most part unless you hit it at a crowd peak, but the wide open view of gorgeous Pensacola Beach white sand is the key element.
Situated right next to the Fishing pier on the right side of the tower as you come toward the beach, there is a nice covered porch area and an open deck with Ft. Lauderdale Beach style seating groups. The feel is white and chrome with a few wood accents and is a more upscale atmosphere than the places on the other side of the tower. Kind of funny since it is attached to the fishing pier! This would be a nice date place on the beach which seems to be kind of rare since most Pensacola Beach restaurants are on the inland side. Drinks and appetizers are good. There were groups of friends and some families, too. Entrees looked good, but didn’t try as I was headed elsewhere.
Beautiful, relaxing spot to enjoy a summer evening on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world!

Let me start by saying, this place is on the beach but it does not have a casino.
I really hope this place does well. They have so much going for them. Sure they have the younger crowd popping shots on the beach by the bar, it is the beach. They have a great modern, trendy look which I dig.
Upon being seated we noticed it was getting cold. We politely asked them to close the garage-​window and they obliged (yay).
They have great beer and drink selections and amazing drink specials.
We got their wings to start. The come in 10 and the sauce is no the side. They arrived crispy, just how we love them.
I also got the ahi tuna nachos– they were perfect. Large tuna chunks on plain chips. I was glad I got the 8 pc, we couldn’t stop eating them. Worth every penny.
We all tried their burgers next. The casino burger comes with bacon and it was great. We got potatoes as a side (these come in an odd triangle shape) served nice and crispy with a savory seasoning. We also tried the sweet potatoes fries-​perfect.
Mandy their general manager sure knows how to run this place. We never had to wait too long for our food, service was friendly and fast. If she ever happens to read this, we helped you out with your lost phone. Glad we could be of assistance, see you next time we go to the beach!
