Hampton Inn & Suites

People tend to write reviews disregarding the price they’re paying and the hotel star status. Well I have nothing to complain about this hotel. Fairly new hotel with nice, spacious and clean rooms. I usually don’t like the Hampton but this one has become my home away from home as I am always in Peoria now. And even though it’s a Hampton, their breakfast is decent. I guess if there is one thing I wish they would do is upgrade their tv’s to bigger ones.

Being a Hilton Honors member I try to use their hotels while traveling, I chose this Hampton Inn due to the price (they honor Gov’t/Military discount) and close proximity to the interstate (74) I ended up staying a bit longer than planned due to illness. The employees were all very friendly and professional from the front desk agents to housekeeping. The lobby is clean and inviting as well as the breakfast area (they offer a hot breakfast) I did not attend breakfast so I’m not sure as to the quality of it. It’s close to the Grand Prairie Mall and many restaurants. It felt safe being out and about the property save for one violent argument some other guest were having one night of my stay, a call to the front desk quickly remedied the situation.
The room was clean but dusty likely from non-​use? facing the rear of the property not much of a view (old junk yard). My only gripe with Hampton Inn is not having a microwave & fridge; I had no way to warm my soup or keep my ale cold other than slinging it into an ice bucket that melted way to fast. I was able to get delivery of foods with no problems though which helped tremendously. At the non discounted rate of $ 129-​$ 149 for a two star property it really should have a microwave & fridge, it’s okay for a night or two but anything beyond that I’d choose elsewhere in order to store food/​drinks.

This was a nice hotel in a great location! It was right across the street from the mall and a lot of restaurants.
The staff was friendly, the pool was clean and refreshing, and the room was clean and big enough for three woman overnight. Not an easy task ;)
I would definitely recommend this place again!
