Pumpkin Glass carries a full range of jewelry making supplies, tools, and kits. We also offer classes in bead stitching, wirework, metal work, enameling, chainmaille, glass bead making, precious metal clay, etc… You name it, we teach it! Our shop is loaded with one of a kind finished art jewelry and we will work with you to create a custom piece for you. Lastly, we repair costume jewelry.

History

Established in 2003.

Teresa Kodatt and her husband Bruce own and operate Pumpkin Glass Gallery and Studio. As the largest bead store in downstate Illinois, Pumpkin Glass has the full range of jewelry making supplies for the jewelry crafter including beads and pendants from around the world, clasps, wire, natural stones, pearls, crystals, and an array tools. Glass workers will love the range of glass rods to choose from at Pumpkin Glass for making torch worked beads. If kiln work is more your speed, Pumpkin Glass has glass sheet for fusing and a range of glass cutting supplies from Morton Glass Works.

Meet the Business Owner

Teresa K.

Business Owner

Teresa has been a professional artist for 28 years. She graduated with a Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Fiber from Northern Illinois University and initially worked designing and weaving tapestries and one of a kind woven clothing. As a creative outlet, she began making jewelry in 1996 and immediately became enchanted with the process of torchworking glass into beads (lampworking). After several years of developing her skills as a lampworker and jewelry maker, she began exhibiting and selling her work in galleries and shops.

Over the past 15 years she has been fortunate enough to study under accomplished master artists in lampworking, glass casting, glass fusing, wire work, metal work, and beading. Her love for creation, materials and techniques have led to a fulltime labor of love creating jewelry afulltime labor of love creating jewelry and teaching others.
