Kate Peikert – Liston Stables

First, my horse IS my child. I choose all things related to her/​for her as such. Liston Stables, Venice and Jim have been a God Send. They are experienced horse people that have eyes on my horse almost all day (yes, I’m that neurotic). The care and facility are superb. The boarders– not many, are fun.
Kate Peikert is new to the barn and she too is a blessing. I have ridden hunter/​jumpers a good part of my life and now want to ride dressage. I have learned so much in 6 months in training and am having the time of my equestrian life. Competition is my goal, my motivation and with Kate have been to 2 shows and have had qualifying scores every time in the ring. Kate is not compromising in her theory, her belief which is classical. She is steeped in old school ways, no short cuts — which is what my past (hunter/​jumper) instructors ingrained me — Vanessa Voight, George Morris, Dorothy Miller.
