Take out food only, it’s primarily a small grocery store. But, without a doubt, it’s the best burritos you’ll find in Perris. On Wednesdays they throw in a free drink(Agua Fresca).

Unilocaled this little gem on my way from Riverside to Temecula for some pan dulce. It was conveniently situated in Old Town Perris and was very easy for me to get to and from the 215 freeway. I walked in and automatically felt at home in this little mom and pop market. I grabbed a good amount of Mexican bread and to my surprise it was very reasonably priced. Easily double at my local Mexican bakery in riverside. The bread was legit. The Unilocal reviews were accurate. It was super soft and tasty. It was the best Mexican bread that I had in a while.

Love this place. I live on Ramona Expressway and I take the drive just for their menudo. You have to try it. Tacos, buritos and champurrado are bomb too. Not your typical mexican market. It’s worth the drive. Oh yeah, their fresh guacamole and salsas are good too, try with their fresh chips. Won’t b disappointed.

Excellent Mexican market in downtown Perris. Great selection of products & fresh produce from both sides of the border. The pan dulce was amazing. They open at 7.

They always have super soft bread! They are always making fresh mexican bread throughout the day. No matter what time you go in, they will be stocked and full of whatever you need/want. They are very clean as well.

It’s like any other Mexican market. However, they do not take sanitary precautions when handeling their meat products. I ordered dome marinated meat and the guy grabbed the meat with his bare hands, no utensils or gloves, just his dirty unwashed hands. Eww. I’ve tasted their bresds, honestly I don’t get what people brag about. It was just ok.

Authentic to the Core! La Playita is a hidden little gem in Perris. You honestly feel like you are in Mexico shopping here. Best pan dulce in town, hands down! The place is small but you will find a little of everything here. The carniseria has a great selection of meats and the butchers are very helpful and friendly. I like that even though the carniseria takes half of the small space, you never get that foul smell like at other Mexican chain markets. They pride themselves in clean, quality products. Every now and then, you find rare seasonal treats that are hard to find anywhere else. On occasions I find small seed less mangos or maracullas(passion fruit). If you have a sweet tooth like me, you will love this place. They have the best selection of Mexican candy.

If you have never been to La Playita, you need to try it. Best pan dulce in the Inland Empire. Marinated meats to take home and grill, freshly baked pan every day, prepared salsa and spicy guacamole tubs you can take home. Good prices on random produce like avocados. Somehow they always manage to have avocados for less than the local supermarkets. You need a piñata real quick? They’ve got them. They have all of the Mexican treats: jello, candy, cakes, chips, snacks that you might get on a trip to Mexico. They also have a taco shop and the food is good. Tacos, burritos, tamales, etc. If you like the fake, overly cheesy(I have never in my life met a Mexican mama who uses yellow cheddar by choice) and overly sauced food from the typical«Mexican» restaurant then this is not the spot for you. Come prepared to taste the food the way your Mexican mama might make it. There is nowhere to sit, you get the food to go. The downside is that it can get crowded, you have to be willing to bust out your inner Mexican and elbow your way in! I admit it can be daunting to walk in and the staff is busy, busy and some are friendlier than others– But when there is a fresh batch of pan available… it is definitely worth it! That Alone bumped them from 4 stars to 5.

This place has some crazy good Pan Dulce. Probably the best conchitas that I’ve had since I was a little kid in Mexico. And surprisingly cheap! Hands down better than Cardenas.

Love this place! They have the best carne asada in town! You can buy it already marinated and they weigh it before they add the marinade! The Pan Dulce(sweet bread) is also very fresh and delicious! Great little market:)

Love this place, great for a quick stop to get those last minute items or a whole weeks worth of food without the grocery store lines or attitude. The prices are good too(especially on produce). Everything is always fresh and the smell of the breads and chicharron are amazing!
