Buffalo Wild Wings

I called to order, the person on the other end of the phone was more interested in talking to all the passing either employees and or customers and kept asking me to either repeat or hold on. The order was 40 dollars for two salads and a sandwich with was my third choice in items. The first two Items i had picked out were «not available» when I asked why the person on the phone put me on hold (without telling me he was going to put me on hold) and a female came on the line, and tried to convince me that the Item I was ordering was a burger when in fact it was a «Southwest Philly» that is on their menu and says it is made of prime rib, after all of that nonsense she tells me that they «ran out of the proper ingredients» and is «not sure when the delivery will be made to make that item available» So I had to find out what the person wanted instead, so instead of keeping them tied up on the line I told them I would call right back, so I call back and low and behold I have to begin again all the way at the beginning with the order because they do not have it and even thought it was the same male I talked to originally, he has basically no clue or idea what I am talking about and I read the list of Items again (mind you all of the other items I had just ordered and he «confirmed» not 3 minutes before) and he has to get help to put them into the computer. I realize this is getting lengthy and I should wrap it up, so overall don’t waste your money on this over priced, money mongering, unpleasant, dissatisfying, non-​customer pleasing chain. There are a million other places in this area that you can get a better meal, and a lower price, and the customer service is at least 100 times better.

I like «B-​Dubs» and have enjoyed them from coast to coast in my travels. But this particular spot in Peru, IL is in need of a regional manager to go in and retrain this crew from the ground up. It’s clean, a great location, but the waitress, then kitchen and even the unprofessional manager took 97 minutes (yes, I timed it) to finally deliver our entire order in which 2 items were still wrong but we accepted them anyway to try and help them and to feed my 80+ yr old Mother in law. Our party of 10 for a 12:45pm Sunday lunch somehow threw them into a tailspin that they kept making mistake after mistake until the manager came out {after we asked twice} and discounted our bill for the items we did not receive {hey — thanks} and I checked to be sure they did not «auto tip» on such a large group. They didn’t — smart move. We left $ 1 in change as a tip in a $ 100 meal hoping they may get the point. Somehow, I doubt it. We will not be back to this location but will enjoy the two near my home in Naperville, IL.
BWW brass reading this should jump in, fire a few to shake them up, then start training how to write down and order and deliver it. Best of luck to you.

Absolutely horrible, ordered a bloody marry and litteraly couldn’t drink it. We had 3 people try it at our table and it was not good! We sent it back and just asked for water no ignorant comments and the manager came over and apologized, he was a nice young guy. Then we ordered wings and 3 out of the 4 orders were not good at all including 1 of the orders just being plain wings. Asked the waitress for some sort of sauce because the 2 orders should have had sauce and we were told they have no sauces. Aside from that the water was really good but we will never go back.

Good food, great atmosphere, great service.
72 bucks for lunch, no alcohol. Sigh.
Medium sized boneless wings is way too much for one person… but now I know.
The childs size burger was large, but the seasoning threw off my 8 year old. Thankfully, he’s polite, so he just ate his fries and didn’t complain.
The wrap that my wife had looked good and she enjoyed it allegedly.

It’s a sports bar and instead of playing ANY sports sounds, they are playing Adele’s «hello».

Overall, a pretty bad experience. My daughter and I went here while shopping. We ordered the appetizer sampler and the boneless snack basket. Our waitress brought us our drinks and took our order but did not see her again. Another waiter brought our food, which was not correct. After waiting another 10 minutes, our correct order was brought out. No one checked on us and it was like pulling teeth to get our check. When I voiced my annoyance to the manager, he apologized and printed out bill. There was no compensation. This is not just a «bad waitress» situation. All employees that we encountered were inadequate. Will not be back.

It’s a BWW. Nothing more nothing less. But it’s the employees and atmosphere that gives this place a five star rating. We bring the kids here probably once a month and have never gotten bad service. The wait staff is friendly and nice and really seem to like their jobs.
The food is pretty darn good too compared to the same food ordered at another location about 30miles away.
Will continue to patronize as it is the people that keep us coming back oh and it’s loud. So my kids don’t disturb anyone. Lol.

The wings over time have gotten worse with quality, for a chain sports bar you can’t beat it though, usually it’s pretty busy but certain bartenders come acrossed as extremely fake and rude at times, the managers are not easy to deal with but I love trying the new sauces every month!

The chicken nuggets in mango habanero are good but the wings are tiny and not very good.

Love this place! My only coMplaint is that it’s so loud. You can’t ever hear people talk. I’m saying this as someone who is in their 20s… Not 70s. Service is good. Food is good. Take out is fast. My order has never been wrong.

There aren’t too many places to watch sports and eat decent food at the same time. This place is great for both, came with my brother and ordered the cheese curds and the new yorker sandwich with pastrami cheese and a yummy mustard sauce. There are plenty of tvs around as well as sports memorabilia and sports uniforms from local high schools. The only drawback is that it’s a little expensive but the food is good at least.

Always have great service with a smile when I go here. Good portion sizes and a big variety. The kids meals are big enough that’s two younger kids can actually share one. Will keep coming back!

Love me some BWW. Yes they are a chain– yes they all serve the same food– doesn’t mean the experience will always be the same. Here, I can say, great service, great food and overall great vibe. My husband and I came in late one night while in the area, were immediately seated. We really enjoyed playing the little game in the booth– my husband and I got hooked on playing virtual poker. Our food came out nice and hot. We both had wings and sour cream and chive wedges. I cannot remember our waitresses name, but she was great. Attentive enough but not overbearing. I took me a nice slice of chocolate cake and ice cream back to the hotel with me for dessert!
If ever in the area and hungry we will definitely stop in for some yummy wangs!

As far as food fare goes, this is pretty standard for a BWW. If you are unfamiliar– beer, sports, and wings a plenty! The menu is actually quite large now including everything from flatbreads, to salads, sandwiches, fried pickles, and just about everything in between at a reasonable price.
This BWW really sticks out in my mind because of the service. The people who work here are SOOO nice! They are friendly, attentive, and happy to give their recommendations when asked! Couldn’t ask for better servers or hosts/​hostesses.
I travel to Peru often for work and am always happy to stop in this family friendly B-​DUBS after a long day.

The first time that I ever ate at a Buffalo Wild Wings was when I lived in DeKalb. It is really my kind of hang out to eat at. The only reason that I don’t give it 5 stars is because the drinks are kind of expensive. You would think that a chain restaurant would have more drink specials, but no, they don’t have many drinks on sale. I think you can get better drink deals at Applebee’s. The things that I like about Buffalo Wild Wings are the chicken quesadillas and the chicken flatbreads. I love those things. I also like the red zone sangria and how they make a hurricane there. I wish they had a little bit more selection and I wish people wouldn’t bring kids in there because I don’t think it is an appropriate environment for children. I like going there and watching sports on TV while I eat and drink though.

Ive been here a few times but its been good both times. Good service and good food. It seems smaller to me than most? Ive eaten in and had take out and both were good. Plenty of tv’s to watch your sports team, or just come in for happy hour and hang out.

My love affair with chicken wings has been long and torrid. While at school in Galesburg, Illinois I spent many a Monday evening delighting in the delicious Wings Night at Cherry Street. I have been recently introduced to the glory of Buffalo Wild Wings. So far I am a BIG fan. The delicious sauces they use are a fantasy of flavors. I always am quite satisfied with my choices.
However, this was not the case when I chose to sample the wares at the Peru branch of BWW’s. The wings were definitely not saucy enough for me. As someone who enjoys condiments and sauces and usually finds foods smothered in them quite enjoyable, I was terribly disappointed in my wings. They were not that saucy and I was left wanting more. I do love wings and I will continue to love them, but listen– Don’t skimp on my sauce!
