Recently rented the cozy cabin due to its close proximity to Ano Nuevo State Park. Our new rescue dog enjoyed the dog-​friendly grounds and the cabin was perfect for our one night stay. The porch and outdoor lawn chairs were fun, the big bathtub & leisurely bubble-​bath were real highlights, my husband liked a bit of tv, the bed was comfortable, & we had an extra comforter & little heater for the cool Jan. night. The kitchen is small & it took awhile for the griddle to heat up for our eggs to cook properly. Nice coffee pot, older toaster, with sufficient cooking supplies for a short stay. We added some items from the town bakery to the cabin’s breakfast offerings, so we were happy campers. Peggy was responsive & very helpful during the booking process, especially during the busy holiday season. We’d highly recommend the Bed and Biscuit & would go back. Pescadero is also a quaint, fun place to visit.

This has become our favorite hideaway. Close to beaches and to Butano State Park, dog-​friendly (we bring our border collie and our mutt) close enough to Pescadero to be convenient, far enough to be quiet around the clock.
Our third trip here was Thanksgiving weekend. It was perfection. Michael was a gracious host, the weather cooperated (we expected rain, got sun and mid-60’s temps) and it was blissfully quiet.
It’s a 7 hour drive from our home, and worth every second of the trip.

Absolutely beautiful! I stayed here about a year ago and completely forgot to review it but we really enjoyed ourselves. You can’t get that kinda quiet and serenity in the city. The owners brother, Mike I think, was fascinating and full of cool stories.

I went to so many wonderful places this weekend, but our homestead for two nights now holds a piece of my heart.
I’ll spare you the schmaltzy details, but Pescadero is very special to my beau and me, and for our one year anniversary I wanted to spend the weekend here, and soon found this wonderful B&B. There aren’t too many places to stay in Pescadero, which adds to the charm.
While historic downtown P-​town can be somewhat crowded, this B&B is about two miles down the road next to the creek, on a decent sized piece of land, with animals all around. We stayed in the Redwood Cottage-​a cozy and snug, yet light and airy room with a cute lil kitchenette. Very private, quiet, romantic, peaceful, and the perfect place to spend some quality time. The gardens full of wildflowers, shabby chic furniture, and three cats roaming around made this place feel like home, or at least what I want my home to feel like.
I’m already plotting a return with some dog owners so we can share this place with more people (and canines!)

Our family came to this area along our our California coast to visit the Elephant Seals at Ano Nuevo State Park. We found the Pescadero Bed and Biscuit on VRBO – and once arriving, instantly knew that we had made the right decision. The gardens are lush, the outdoor fire pit cozy, and our cottage was comfortable. Definitely a refuge that we will return to in the future!

My boyfriend and I loved this place! It is a great place with a great price if you are looking to just get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We stayed in the Large Cottage and were able to bring our dog Molly which was a huge plus. I think she enjoyed the stay as much as we did. The property is fenced in so she was abble to run free. We have already booked another trip and rented all three cabins with our friends.
This place is a bit rustic but that’s what we loved about it.

What a find! Great place to relax and unwind with the hubby and our fur-​baby (our sweet golden retriever). Love pet friendly B&B’s and this place really struck a cord with us, and I do mean that in the best way. Our little cabin was very peaceful and so cute. Nicely appointed and I loved being able to make my own breakfast instead of having to show up at someone else’s breakfast table at a certain time. Peggy and her brother are sweet good folks. Love the privacy they afford their clientele. And talk about going out of the way to please a customer… They followed me to town to deliver the wine case that I mistakenly left behind. I couldn’t believe they did it AND found me. Am anxious to return, again and again. :o) Voted 4 paws way up!

We went as three couples and each of us had one of the great cabins. We had this whole paradise to ourselves for the weekend. It is in a beautiful setting with open fields right next to Pescadero Creek. It is just a mile from the great little town of Pescadero and 3 miles from the ocean. It is easy to drive into Santa Cruz if you want but you will probably just want to relax here. Peggy was great a provides a wonderful environment for her guests. I really do not see how anyone could not love this place. We will go back.

This is an outstanding place to stay if you are looking to get away from the daily grind. I stayed here with my wife and daughter. We rented the larger of the three places, and we had plenty of space. It is located in Pescadero, which is a small, welcoming town.
Upon arrival, we were very happy with the location and the setup of our room. It was a comfortable, and homey. Wild flowers everywhere, a pretty white horse trotting around, wild deer family in plain sight, and a mountain back drop.
The room had a modern setup with a TV and DVD player, small selection of cool DVD’s, ipod compatible stereo, boardgames, wifi, a coffee pot and good coffee, creamer, a toaster, a package of Thomas’ English Muffins (nooks and crannies), butter and jelly, and a dozen fresh eggs, plates, cups, silverware, bottle opener, wine key, refrigerator and freezer, vase for fresh flowers, BBQ grill, and a firepit. All that you need really.
The bed was very cozy, even the living room futon was nice to kick back on. Plenty of blankets and pillows. Our room was equipped with a faux fireplace heater that kept the whole place warm and had a cool glowing energy.
After your morning coffee, take a tour of the gardens while the dew is still out. My daughter and I found a family of Santa Cruz Banana Slugs here in the plants that surround the cottage. Awesome! We have looked for them in Santa Cruz for years now, with no luck.
Peggy the innkeeper is warm and welcoming. She stays out of her guests way, but is accessible should you have a question, or need something. This is the best kind of innkeeper, in my opinion.
We found plenty to do on our stay. Duarte’s Tavern is the best place to eat in Pescadero, and has been for years. Everything they serve has locally sourced ingredients. Artichokes, Blackberries, Olalliberries, Petrale Sole, Sand Dabs (fish), and homemade pies. Damn, they have some good pies. Afterwards, we hit a thriftshop right next door and took home some great deals.
There is a place called Butano State Park that is a short 10 minute drive from our room. It is worth the visit. It is a lush mossy, redwood grove with a creek running through it. We went exploring there and discovered that the place is home to a species of very cool newts. They are kinda like salamanders or water lizards. Go find one, they squak when they get angry. Be prepared. It is scary as hell.
Visit Pescadero, and stay with Peggy at the Bed and Biscuit. I swear that you will be a better person when you leave here. The place is that cool.

We stayed in the Airstream trailor a few weekends ago. It was really cute. My fiancé and my best friend and I rented this little place out to see what it was all about. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. Peggy was very nice and let us know a little bit about her property and herself and told us to help ourselves to the fire pit and bbq area she had.
The trailer was very clean and decorated nicely. Had a full kitchen and full bathroom. The bed is a futon but is super cozy with lots of fluffy pillows and a nice thick down comforter. The garden is lovely and the trees that surround you keep all the noise out.
Breakfast was not cooked for us but provided in the fridge so we can cook it at our own leisure. English muffins and eggs and coffee and tea is what they provide. I brought my own food to cook as well.
My only complaint is that you cannot open the windows in the trailer because its a bit antique. but not to worry there are fans above that help circulate air.
I had a lovely time and I am actually planning on returning to rent out one of her other cottages.

The place that Peggy and her family have created at the Pescadero Bed & Biscuit is truly a treasure. My mom and I found it online in the Spring of 2010, and stayed there just for a short weekend when she was in town. However, I will be back. It will always be the first place I inquire about when seeking a getaway to the adorable town of Pescadero.
They had 2 small cabins on the property, along with the main house, where the owners live. Now, they also have a really cool-​looking restored Airstream (which others have written about). I can’t wait to check that out in person! The cabins and house are all near each other in a U-​shape, arranged around a lovely, sunny stone patio. I enjoy this arrangement, as it allows for as much privacy or social interaction as you may or may not want!
We staying in the larger of the two cabins. It was clean, spacious, tastefully and simply decorated, and breakfast materials are provided in the kitchen. The bathroom is unforgettable. The bathtub is huge and gilded. I even think bubble bath was provided! (Note, there is a shower head attachment on the tub, but no shower.) A luxurious bath was the perfect was to slow down and relax!
We peeked into the other, smaller cabin, as no one was staying there at the time, and it was more like a studio, with a much smaller kitchen space, but just as clean and adorable.
The place is pet-​friendly, which is a huge plus for me. We travel with my sweet, awesome dog (see photos), and finding a place that actually *welcomes* dogs (not just tolerates them) is SO wonderful. When we were there, the large «backyard» was completely fenced in, and the larger pasture area, was fairly contained. (My dog is not a runner.) My dog enjoyed roaming around the property, investigating everything, and then, when she had satisfied her nose, she sat for hours in the grass, and on the warm stones of the patio, «surveying her kingdom».
If you feel like leaving this little slice of paradise, go into town and have some artichoke soup at Duarte’s, visit the Harley Farms Goat Dairy, and wander the shops on the main drag. It is one of my favorite small towns in the Bay Area.
Finally, on a more philosophical note:
Life is just a little too busy anymore… perhaps it’s our evolution as a human species to figure out how to balance all the new technology, speed of information, and incredible capabilities of science/​computers/​knowledge, with the richness of being alive and having moments of true connection to others and our world/​planet/​environment. And THAT is the very reason why I so admire the owners Peggy, Bronson, and their family, and this very special place they have created for yourself and to share with others… to come achieve that balance.

Two cottages and a cute old air-​stream trailer set in the lush valley behind the coastal town of Pescadero made this the ideal place for me and my now wife to take over with two other couples for the weekend of our wedding.
The feel of a small town was immediately upon us as the keys to our cabins were pinned to the door of the main house with a note to make ourselves at home when we arrived. The grounds are well kept and dotted with sitting areas and tables for enjoying the scenery; a painter of landscapes would be at a loss for where to start. All three bungalows are absolutely dripping with country cute, and charmed us right off the bat.
We stayed in the large cottage, which has a cozy living room and full kitchen, that is perfect for entertaining the guests of the other cottages, or relaxing after a rigorous day of relaxing. Simulated-​fire electric heaters keep the cottages warm and cozy in the cool evenings.
Our hostess was friendly and helpful, and the two cats of the premises were more than willing to provide company. The gorgeous white pony and grazing deer out of our bedroom window were a wonderful surprise. We had a great time and plan to return on a regular basis.

We spent the night there this weekend and wished we could have stayed for a few more days. The place is cozy and relaxing and just rustic enough to give you the feeling of roughing it, but with enough modern amenities to make for a most inviting stay. The eggs I rustled up in the morning were so delicious. The 3 cats hanging around were a big bonus. We will return for a longer stay.

My partner and I just returned from a 2 night stay here and it was perfect. The cottage has been renovated in beautiful re-​claimed fence wood, even down to the kitchen cabinets. And soaking in the huge clawfoot tub under a stained glass window at the end of the day was lovely. Our bedroom window looked out onto the owner’s horse pasture and the grounds around the cabins (there are 2 on the property) are filled with flowers and fruit trees and places to sit and have breakfast or enjoy the peace and quiet. I can’t wait to come back here!

My girlfriends and I (5 of us, plus several of our kids) rented both cabins and had the best time. Idyllic and peaceful, we especially loved the claw-​footed tubs and the rustic ambiance. The location is close to the ocean — we went there late at night and took a walk before going to bed. We didn’t want to go home.

Such an incredibly beautiful and relaxing place. Stayed in the larger cottage, so delightful — extra touches — sprig of lavender on the bed, fresh flowers on the table. .. claw foot tub with bubble bath. .. the grounds are so nice — tables in the yard to picnic on – comfy chairs to relax in – goat farm nearby to visit and cute little shops in downtown Pescadero (which is all of one street long). Great place to getaway and de-​stress :) :) Delightful innkeeper too :) :)

While driving down our gorgeous California coast one weekend we «happened» on the town of Pescadero. We stayed in a charming cottage at The Pescadero Bed and Biscuit. Nestled in lovely green pastures and surrounded by hills our cottage was beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean and very cozy. We watched the owner’s little white horse «Kelly» grazing from our window and even saw deer in the morning! Next time we stay here we are going to check out the creek on the property! It is not often you get to experience a «piece of history» for such a reasonable price as well. We loved our stay in our private little cottage and would recommend it to anyone!
