Specialties

Relax in the hammock under the redwoods along Pescadero Creek or on the swing by the organic vegetable garden. Take a short stroll to the shops and restaurants in the historic town of Pescadero or a bike ride to a deserted California beach or Redwood forest. Take a warm bath in your antique claw-foot tub or just sit on the sunny deck with your favorite book? The old graveyard or the historic lighthouse? A ride down Stage Road to view the old farmhouses or just curl up in the parlor in front of the stone fireplace. Relaxation comes in many forms at Pescadero Creek Inn.

Later, wander into the town and explore the shops or grab a bite to eat at historic Duarte’s Tavern. Or you could try the wood fired pizza at the Pescadero Country Store and eavesdrop on some of the local farmers chatting at sundown. And there is the Los Amigos taqueria at the gas station, so good it was written up in the NY Times! Or pick up a loaf of hot fresh baked artichoke bread at Norm’s Bakery and picnic at the beach.

History

Established in 2004.

Located in a Renovated farmhouse on the edge of downtown Pescadero, Pescadero Creek Inn began on a bike ride in 1991 through the country. After stopping at Duarte’s for lunch we came upon a dilapidated old house on Pescadero Creek. Looking to change our pace of life my wife Penny and I decided to purchase the building to open a country inn.

It took ten years to finish raising our children and also finish the renovation but in 2004 we opened as a bed & breakfast. Our experience during our first ten years told us our hunch was right and that the town was going to have a rebirth as a place for folks to escape the everyday hectic pace of life. The number of stores and restaurants in town has more than doubled in that time and finding a place to park on weekends can be a challenge.

While we no longer serve a full breakfast enjoy Peet’s coffee and some juices before wandering into town for a breakfast bite.

Come experience the magic that is Pescadero!

Meet the Business Owner

Ken D.

Business Owner

A native of New York City, Ken relishes the opportunity to live on the California coast near the beach and share with his guests the relaxing environment of the Pescadero.

After thirty years working in corporate America he welcomes the new challenge of creating unique organic gastronomical delights for breakfast at the Pescadero Creek Inn. When deciding to change careers he looked at what he liked; gardening, being his own boss, living near the ocean, and came up with the idea of a country inn. After convincing Penny it wasn’t as crazy as it sounded they embarked on a wonderful journey.

Now ten years later Pescadero has taken off with the number of shops and restaurants more than doubling. So now Ken is relaxing a little more as well and putting out Peet’s coffee and juices for guests to relax in front of the parlor’s large fireplace before strolling into town to pick one of the numerous options for breakfast.
